"So, you guys want another match? Against us?" Bugs Bunny remarked as he and Mario were talking with each other in Manhattan, being near the Brooklyn Bridge.
"Well, yeah-a." Mario stated as he moved his hands around. "I figured that we could try another go at it, so that others could get the experience. Plus, we could do without all the..." He shuddered, shaking his head. "...under thunder."
"...I don't mind it as much, but I can agree with that, doc." Bugs states, patting Mario on the back. "Say, uh, where should we have our basketball match?"
"Wherever you like." Mario remarked as he pointed up. "It shouldn't be a problem regarding location."
Bugs smirked, knowing just what location he and the others could play in. He then spotted Dry Bowser grilling burgers on the corner of the street, waving at the skeletal reptile.
"These are piping hot if you want it." Dry Bowser spoke while flipping some patties as he squinted his eyes. "Or is something else that was on your mind?"
"Oh, just wondering if you knew a bunch of people, given that you have all these jobs doc." Bugs explained as he then pulled out a basketball and started dribbling it. "You care to partake in a game?"
"...That depends." Dry Bowser spoke as he took a bite into 1 of his burgers. "Where will we be playing...?"
"The Madison Square Garden?" Daffy Duck exclaimed in disbelief as he shook his head, him and the other Looney Tunes wearing their 'Toon Squad' uniforms. "Of all the places to play, he picked this dump?"
"I didn't like it either, but the varmin said we had no choice," Yosemite Sam stated while he had his arms folded. "I just hope our opponents aren't like those alien freaks from Moron Mountain."
There were 10 Looney Tunes and 10 Mario characters - five would play at a time, to make things fair. For the Toon Squad, it was Bugs, Lola Bunny, Daffy, Porky Pig, Sam, Elmer Fudd, Syvlester, Foghorn Leghorn, Wile E. Coyote, and the Tasmanian Devil, while the Mario team was Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Bowser, and Toad. The other Looney Tune and Mario characters were there to cheer them on or be willing to partake in the game, with the stadium being packed as Dry Bowser managed to get a good word in.
"What can I say?" Dry Bowser said with a confident smirk as he was now selling popcorn, being dressed as a food delivery man.
"Here's to a good match, doc." Bugs stated to Mario as the two famous mascots shook hands.
"And may the best team win," Mario replied with a smile in his Italian accent, both understanding that this was for fun and on good terms for both sides.
The whistle blew, and both Bugs and Mario remained, with Daffy, Porky, Lola, and Elmer staying on the Toon Squad side, while Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and Toad remained on the Mario side, everyone else taking to the side.
"Come on, go long!"
"This is basketball not football, you idiot!"
