She was always the one left behind.

The first time, she had no choice, really. what can you do when your body was abducted by a witch and your heart was stuck in your best friend's body?

But even when you're sitting right in the front seat, right in front of all the action, it still felt as if she was left behind, always sheltered by the protection of her friends.

It was flattering, of course, and great to know you have friends.

But what's the point if having friends when you couldn't even protect them yourself?

The second time, she had lost memory of her friend. The adventure they had the year before was completely forgotten. and so she stayed behind again and lived a normal life, unbeknownst to her, her friends were on another adventure.

She regained her memories, but she still needed protection from her friends. She was getting kind of annoyed.

Wow.

And then she had left for their home while her friends stayed behind to fight the final boss.

Just fan-freaking-tastic.

Not that long after their final fight, she was left behind again. this was getting quite old.

She was pissed.

But she couldn't let her emotions affect the outcome of the world, right? So she let them go ahead again.

This is stupid.

She wanted to do something.

Not stay behind like some princess and wallow in her hole of helplessness.

No.

She wants to kick butt.

And soon that wish would come true.

Riku had brought her to Yen Sid, she secretly prayed that she could finally do something.

And when she was told of her ability to wield a keyblade and the fact that she could finally do something worthwhile, her poker face broke.

"So does this mean I get to kick some butt?"

uh hi.

basically Kairi's thoughts on being left alone like some damsel in distress.

yeah.
