We love waiting years for updates! Don't we folks? Haha... I'll explain somethings at the end of this chapter. But anyway I hope you like this chapter!
Disclaimer: I still own nothing but Alex
When I woke up, I felt annoyed I hadn't gotten any answers and now Percy, my brother, had just left me behind. 'I can't stay here' my mind said. I wanted, no I needed answers, my gaze shifted to my bracelet, I'll start there I thought, leaving my cabin. I couldn't help but smile at the sunny weather, it was so nice and warm.
I bit my lip in frustration as most of the campers avoided me. Who could help me? Athena's kids were smart, though if Annabeth was anything to go by, they probably won't enjoy my presence too much. But they were my best shot at some answers.
"Malcolm!" I called out, blushing slightly when several campers turned in my direction.
"Alex!" he said a little on edge but at least he wasn't running for the hills I thought.
"I was hoping you could help me?" I questioned shifting slightly on my feet.
He bit his lip, "Sure," he said finally "Do you want to go somewhere quiet?"
"Yeah, that would be nice," I said relaxing slightly.
"So, what can I help you with," he asked once we'd sat down by the lake.
"I think my bracelet's magic," I said, "I mean I think charms are real, like-"
"You don't know?" he asked frowning,
"Know what?" I replied confused,
"It's a magical item, I figured you already knew that," he said, "You usually get them from Gods or quests,"
"Oh," I said, I must have gotten it from Apollo or maybe I'd earned it somehow.
"Can I see it?" he questioned,
I looked at my left wrist, I couldn't see a clasp and it definitely wasn't loose enough to slip off. "Sure," I said finally holding out my left arm.
"Are we allowed to leave camp?" I stared out at the distance as he fiddled with my bracelet,
"Well yes," he replied "Most only stay for the summer, and of course if you get called on a quest,"
"So I can leave now?" I questioned,
"No," he looked up from my wrist, he seemed to realise something, "Alex, you can't chase your brother,"
"Who said anything about chasing Percy?" I sighed, "Maybe I just want to go somewhere where I don't get stared at like a freak!" my voice rising with every word. You don't belong here Alex.
He paused. "Have you heard the story of Athens?" he asked quietly,
"Yes, Athena and Poseidon both created something in order to be named the patron god," I said "Athena won, what does that have to do with me?" I met his eyes.
"I need to get back to my lessons," he stood up awkwardly, "If you twist the charm it will turn into a weapon, but it looks like it's exclusive to you,"
Sighing I stood up, "Thanks for your help Malcolm," I said.
He bit his lip, "For what it's worth, I'm sorry," he mumbled walking away.
I turned my eyes to the forest. Eyes seemed to stare back.
Lee POV:
"Chiron, Alexandra Jackson shows serious signs of retrograde amnesia," I explained, "And if it is god induced as I suspect the magic here will tear through it and the amount of damage it could cause her-"
"Chiron! Two of those brats just escaped!" Dionysus burst an unusual seriousness around him.
"Lee we will finish this later," Chiron said,
Alex POV:
Thump thump My heart raced as I ran through the forest, I could remember being strangled by vines when something caused him to drop me. Just kept running I thought, but where the rational side of my brain said?
San Francisco something whispered.
*Flashback*
Lighting flashed as the rain hit my skin, I'm cold was my first thought.
"Good luck Alexis" a voice familiar voice said,
"Wait!" I spun around I managed to catch a glimpse of blond hair disappearing into a crowd,
"Wait please!" I chased after them
Someone grabbed my arm, "Are you okay?" it was a woman in a uniform,
My lip trembled and I burst into tears, "I don't know,"
*End of flashback*
"NO!" I yelled, I just need to get away, a wave of exhaustion hit me, my body slipped and I hit the ground dazed and tired.
"It's going to be okay Alex," a voice murmured sounding relieved,
"Will?"
Hope you guys liked it, below is just a few personal things I went through in the last few years so feel free to skip them.
Anyway, I started this story in 2015, when I was in early high school and everything was great. 2016-2018 was pretty awful for me I shifted cities and lost a lot of friends and basically I became extremely anxious and lonely as a result I spend a lot of time writing and then deleting because I though everything I wrote was terrible, but I didn't want to abandon my stories, so I would force myself to publish new chapters in an effort to remind myself that people liked my work so it couldn't be that bad. However, in 2018, a lot of things happen as it was my final year and I'd found some friends and I ended up being too busy to write anything for fun. But last semester I took a creative writing course and it sparked something that I'd left behind, my creativity. I can't promise frequent updates. But I'm going to try to update at least one story a month. If you're are someone who has been following my stories for a while, I just want to say thank you so much for not giving up on this story. And to everyone who left a review, I just want to say thank you so much! Special thanks to AnimeFan972 my first reviewer and Shigure Toshiro my most frequent reviewer.
