April Fools!

a hijack one-shot!

Hiccup walked into the flat, silence hung in the air like a wet blanket. This was unusual for Hiccup's flatmate Jack was always either on the xbox or making food, his college classes ended a couple hours before Hiccup's did. This silence was a bit alarming to Hiccup, seeing as he may have liked his flatmate a little more than he should have, and that he was afraid of almost everything after a house fire took his leg. Hiccup believed that he had started that house fire by forgetting to blow out his forest scented candle. His leg wasn't the only thing that fire took, the fire engulfed his mom who had given her life to save as much of Hiccup as she could. Hiccup's father, on the other hand, was abusive. Jack had helped a lot, he had actually been the one who had called the safe house. Jack used to live at the safe house but, went back after Hiccup was sent there because Jack's father started drinking again. That's the place where Jack and Hiccup were for their entire high school years, they still went to school, but they went to the high school at the safe house. Hiccup had been lost in thought for about 5 minutes, he shuddered at the memory of his father, he then proceeded to check every room for Jack, Jack was nowhere to be seen. Hiccup then quietly crept into Jack's room; he crept just in case Jack was sleeping. He wasn't in his room, so Hiccup decided to go to his own room, but not before a snack… Hiccup strutted into the kitchen to get food and opened the fridge…*Hiccup's girly scream* "JACKSON OVERLAND FROST! GET YOUR BUTT IN HERE NOOOWW!" He heard Jack's laughter behind him and pounced, taking both boys to the ground. "hiccup! you should have seen your face! It was priceless! Hiccup?" Jack heard a sob, he then realized that the younger boy was crying into his sweater. "Hiccup, it was an april fools joke… were you actually that scared of a red jello with a severed head in it? I didn't mean to frighten you this much!" Jack said pulling the smaller boy closer. Hiccup snickered, then said something inaudible into Jack's chest. "what was that Hiccup?" Hiccup looked up with a dry face and the biggest smile Jack had seen all day. "APRIL FOOLS! I WASN'T THAT SCARED!" Jack laughed, "i'm fairly sure they heard you all the way in kansas!" Hiccup blushed. "well you should have seen your face when you opened your locker to the pile of fake eyeballs!" Hiccup said getting up. "Thatwas YOU?! I THOUGHT THAT WAS ASTRID!"Jack screeched. with that, Hiccup could contain his laughter no more, be bursted with bubbly giggles. "Not funny hiccup…" Jack said warningly. "What are you gonna do, tickle me?" Jack got a mischievous smirk then, "maybe I will!" he lunged for Hiccup but missed. "I'm gonna get 'cha!" Hiccup squealed and ran off giggling. They kept chasing each other for a while until Hiccup tripped over the carpet, "GOT YOU!" Jack said attacking Hiccup's sides with his tickles. "J-JACK! S-S-STOP!" Hiccup said between fits of laughter. "I think thats enough for today, what about you Hic?" Hiccup grinned at this, but Jack didn't notice. "yeah, i'm tired…" Hiccup lied. Jack flopped down next to hiccup on the floor, "Whoof! that was really tiring!" Hiccup took this chance and leapt upon Jack, tickling him now, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Jack laughed and tried to fight back against the hands. Hiccup stopped.

"I hate you." Jack said.

"i know." Hiccup replied.
