Okay. So this is a Madoka Magica/Puella Magi fanfic. Pretty self-explanatory on what it's about if you've read it. I might sound weird when I talk to you guys, but that's because I'm not used to this. Yet. I might put some references in here. Muwahahahaha!

Chapter 1

Maria-Chan. Huh? Is… someone calling me? Maria-Chan! The distant voice became panicked. I need you! Wait!

Maria opened her eyes. "What a strange dream." She sighed, rubbing the darkness of sleep from her eyes. She got out of bed and looked at the clock. "Ah! It's already 8:15, I'm going to be late for school!"

Maria raced around to get ready and dashed downstairs. Grabbing her bag, she opened the door only to stopped by her sister. "You forgot your bird."

"Thanks for reminding me Mai." She grabbed the clay model of a small red bird from the counter. "Hey, shouldn't you be at school?"

"A pipe broke so school was canceled," Mai said blankly. "but you're not in my school so I suggest you get going."

Maria huffed. "Lucky," she mumbled as she walked out the door. The warning bell rung. "How am I going to get to school on time?"

She sprinted to school, even though she knew she would be late. But suddenly her vision turned black. 'Am I blacking out?' She panicked. 'No, I'd have to be unconscious… so what's going on!?'

Maria-chan. A soothing voice spoke from every direction. If I want you to help me, I'll have to help you.

'Wh-what do you mean? Who are you?' Maria said.

The voice giggled. You're welcome.

Maria's vision came back, and she had to put a hand over her face to block out the light. She was at the steps of the school with people laughing and walking around her, like a parting stream with a rock in the middle. She took her phone out of her bag and flipped it open.

"No way…" she whispered as she looked down. 7:45, May 5 lite up the screen. 'My time is wrong. That's it, that's why.' She seemed to be trying to convince herself more than anything. And what about the darkness, the voice, and the fact that she teleported. Then it struck her.

"This is crazy. I'm still dreaming I must be." She said out loud. Falling to her knees, Maria put her hands on her head. As if trying to push the memory out.

"Maria-San? What are you doing?" Maria turned toward the voice.

"Um…" she got up and brushed off her skirt. "Oh hi, Riko. I just dropped something." Maria looked up at the tall girl in front of her. She had a long, dark green braid and a shorter one beside it. Her emerald eyes shone with amusement.

"Which is why you were holding your head?" Riko put her hands on her hips.

"I dropped my earing. And I was putting it back in." Maria stammered quickly.

Riko laughed. "I'm messing with you. Jeez you're so gullible."

Maria blushed. "I am not!"

"Are too. You were acting like if I wasn't pleased with your excuse I would shoot you."

"I did not!" Maria rummaged through her bag and pulled out the red bird model. "Happy birthday." Riko took the bird. "Jerk." Maria added.

Riko ignored her. "This is good!" She flipped the statue over in her hands. "You were always really good at stuff like this." The warning bell rung and Maria had a sick feeling of déjà vu. "There's the bell. We should get going."

The two girls walked up the stairs along with the other people, having no idea what lay ahead for them.
