Lazy Sundays

Lazy Sundays. Lucrezia love them.

Today, Noin sleeps in. If she wakes up and the clock displays double digits in the hour, she knows it's going to be a good day. Zechs told her last night that he would have to leave early for work, so she doesn't worry when she realizes she's alone in their bed. She slowly wakes up, lying cocooned in the blankets for a while. There's no need to rush, no need to work.

She whips up a quick breakfast before lounging in front of the television. She laughs at the sitcoms, absentmindedly wondering why she don't watch TV that much anymore. Pulling a blanket around her, Noin watches a marathon of some random sitcom about a group of crazy friends for a couple hours. By the time the fifth episode goes off, she looks at the clock, realizing that she should probably shower.

Moseying to the bathroom, she hums a random tune from pre-colony times. Turning the water to almost scalding, she steps in, enjoying the warmth the water brings. Noin forgets time and spends forever in the shower. At one point, she starts singing quietly. "Wise men say, only fools rush in," Lucrezia sings as she rinses the shampoo out of her hair. "But I can't help falling in love with you."

She pauses to wash her face, but the song continues. "Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can't help falling in love with you." Noin peeks out from behind the shower curtain to see her Lightning Count leaning against the wall with a slight smirk. "Hello, beautiful," he says, smirk growing.

A blush creeps up Noin's cheeks as she wonders how long he listened in. "I didn't know you were here," she says lamely, ducking back behind the curtain to rinse out her hair before quickly wrapping herself in a towel.

Zechs's chuckle brings a smile to Lucrezia's face. "I didn't know you could sing," he replies. As she steps out of the shower, Zechs's eyes quickly trail down her body before snapping back to her eyes.

Noin rolls her eyes. Men, she thinks, but her face heats up even more. "There's a lot you don't know about me, Zechs," she says with a wink, heading toward the bedroom. Zechs tries to follow her, but she puts her hand to his chest, effectively halting him just outside the door. "Stay," she commands like one would do to a puppy. Zechs's laugh can be heard through the door.

Once Lucrezia's dressed, she ambles down the hallway to find Zechs in the kitchen, making two sandwiches. He pushes one toward her with a smile. "So," he says. "What else can you do?" he asks, biting into his sandwich.

Raising a questioning eyebrow, Noin asks, "What do you mean?"

Zechs shows off his perfect teeth with a smile. "What else can you do that you're keeping secret from me?" he teases, though you detect some honest curiosity.

Noin playfully sticks her tongue out at him. With a smirk, she vaguely answers him, knowing it'll drive him mad. "That's for me to know and you to never find out."
