Author's Notes: Hello! This will be my second fanfiction I've ever written and the first from the Pokemon fandom. I've mainly written this to see if there is anything that I can improve in, since I am still an amateur writer. Enjoy!

Pokemon Adventures Manga: Despair

She stared at the milky white stone that was cupped in her hands. Though beautiful and legendary, it held painful memories of her lost friend. The Light Stone she held already contained enough proof. Her wavy brown hair fell in a cascade and covered her pale face, but her blue eyes could be seen shining with restrained tears.

Trapped in a world of darkness... Slumbering for eternity...

After the great clash between the two mighty dragons of Unova, Reshiram and Zekrom, the true enemy who had ostracised the entire event had sealed the Hero of Truth, and her friend, Black, with Reshiram, the white dragon, when it turned back into the white stone. All she could do was to watch as he smiled weakly at her and peeled back his jacket, where he hid a shirt that advertised her company. He admitted that he didn't get to do what he wanted: To keep his promise and promote her company when he won the Pokémon League.

All this time, with the apocalypse and all, Black still managed to remember the promise he made to her. What had she done to ever deserve such a friend?

... Nothing.

But all that didn't matter now. He was gone. Forever.

Night clung on to her as she knelt on the cracked and parched ground. Her mouth opened in a silent scream of pure agony as she clutched the stone that contained him close to her heart. A lone tear slid down her cheek as she threw her head back and allowed the moon's rays to shine on her devastated face.

Why couldn't heroes have happy endings? Why did they have to be sacrificed in order to satisfy the enemy? In a way, Team Plasma won... She couldn't save him when he vanished before her eyes. She was weak. So pathetically weak. An unworthy friend.

She only had one selfish request, and it was the impossible: To see him one final time.
