Riley shook her head as she stumbled to her feet. The last explosion was far too close for comfort. She didn't have time to wonder if the NCR had made a mistake trusting the boomers, however. As soon as she balanced herself Riley was tackled by a blur of red. The back of her head bounced off the concrete and her vision went black. She heard a faint shout and the weight on top of her was forced off. As her vision returned she gazed in the direction the man had been shoved to. He was massive, wearing bright red and gold armor. His plumed helmet had been knocked off his head and a small figure dressed in brown was on top of him elbowing his face. After three quick strikes the figure leaned back and slammed a strange metal glove into his chest plate.

Riley suddenly realized she had lost her rifle and began searching for it. She didn't have to look very far before she saw it hanging loosely from the grip of a redheaded woman in front of her. The woman extended a hand and hauled Riley to her feet, handing her the gun. She nodded in thanks and attempted to find her squad-mates.

"That blast was pretty close, you alright?" The redheaded woman asked.

"Yeah, I should be fine. Just a little shook-up." Riley yelled back.

She saw some legionaries attacking a small group of NCR soldiers and decided to jump back into the fight, waving at the two women as she jogged over.

Cass watched the young woman jog away and wondered why Six hadn't brought a bigger force of securitrons. With all the firepower at his disposal it would have been child's play to take the dam by force. She shook her head, clearing the thoughts away, there was still a job to be done. She glanced at Veronica. The woman nodded in her direction and they made their way to the objective.

This is what I signed up for. Boone thought as he loaded another bullet into the chamber of his hunting rifle. He did his best to maintain a calm and impassive face when Six told him the plan. After all, it was obvious who he would need with him when he stormed the legion camp. Six was a capable fighter, but he was no soldier. The weapon from Helios would only have one shot, and there were at least a hundred soldiers to get through.

Another shot and another body dropped to the ground. Raul was with him, while Six was up ahead with Lily and Rex. They were mainly down there to draw attention and keep heat off the two rifleman. Boone didn't expect to make it through the battle anyway, but he understood the tactical necessity. Exhaling gently, he lined up his cross hairs and took another shot.
