I'm back! I am so sorry this took so long! It wasn't supposed to! But anyway heres chapter 46! Thanks for reading and sticking with me, next chapter will be sooner I swear!
" Hey, slowpoke," Lexia said with a smirk as she saw Wes.
" Hey Speedy," Wes replied with a smirk.
" How'd you know."
" I keep track of you."
" You call my dad don't you."
" Once a week, just to check in."
" How'd you even meet my dad"?
" When we were kids. His car was always parked outside, and I pretended to get hurt one time, and he got out. Splitting image of four-year-old you".
" I always wonder what my life would've been like if I was raised by him, to begin with. How my life would've been so different with Brian as my dad from the start".
" He tried to be there for you."
" You made a good replacement dad," Lexia said with a smile.
Wes gave a smile back and saw the rest of the crew arrived. One by one everyone got out, and they went over the plan.
" So does Diablo have henchmen"? Lexia asked
" If you see anyone with a devils tail or devil horns tattoo on the shoulder that's Diablo's help." Wes said, " The alley has many nooks and crannies so let's split into groups."
Everyone nodded and gave each other their numbers, in case anything went wrong, and it took only a couple minutes for the groups to be set up. Lexia and Wes were group A, Zak and Tessa were B, Irene and Amanda were C, Derek and Des were group D, Scott, and Richard were E, and Amanda and Ruby were F, and Lily and Darell were G.
" Hey, Wes do you realize what you said to me when you hung up"? Zak asked before they split up.
" I said I'll see you soon and...I'll see you later". Wes said, and Zak noticed Wes turned red before he joined up with Lexia.
" What up bro," Lexia said, giving him a quick glance before looking left.
" I told Zak I loved him"! Wes whisper shouted and saw the evil smile on his sister's face " Don't smirk that like."
" You didn't realize you said it did you."
" No, I don't even know if he's gay"!
" I'm pretty sure he's gay bro. My gaydar is never wrong".
" What do you know about gay people Lex."
Lexia stopped walking for a moment and gave Wes the ' You've got to be kidding me' look before rolling her eyes.
" I had gay friends in the short time I went to high school."
" You had friends," Wes said jokingly, and Lexia gave him a small shove before seeing a flash of red on someone's shoulder as he came around the corner and started heading straight.
" Wes. That guy, he had the tattoo". Lexia said grabbed Wes' wrist before she ran down the street before turning the corner, almost slamming into a few people.
Wes let Lexia drag him through the crowded alleys and suddenly saw her as a five-year-old girl pulling him through a crowd of people at the amusement park.
" He's stopping," Lexia said, and Wes almost ran into her as she stopped.
Wes looked at where his sister was pointing and saw him quickly pass something to a random person, who gave him a wad a fistful of cash just as fast.
" I'm going in." Lexia said, and the rest of the crew arrived just as Lexia slammed the guy against the wall and held his arm behind his back surprising everyone " Alright buddy here's the deal. You tell me where Diablo is and I'll pay you to double what you paid".
" And if I don't." The guy asked with a smirk and grunted as Lexia pounded him against the wall.
" I'll break your arm how's that sound," Lexia said with a smirk that would've made Dom proud.
" You don't have the guts."
" You asked for this."
Everyone raised an eyebrow at Lexia and Wes couldn't hide his shock as his sister broke the guy's arm in one swift movement.
" You crazy bastard"! The man shouted and held his arm as Lexia released him only to throw him to the ground and put a foot on his back.
" How'd you know that's what I am"? Lexia mocked with a smirk and put more pressure on his back " I will not repeat myself, pal. So unless you want to add missing teeth to the list, I suggest you tell me where Diablo is".
" Alright fine! I'll tell you"!
" Was that so hard"?
" He's at the abandoned building four blocks from here; you can't miss him."
" Thank you for the info," Lexia said and gave the man a wad of cash before walking away.
" What the hell was that Lex"! Wes shouted as they started walking.
" He had information I needed," Lexia said casually and was a bit annoyed at her brother.
What was his problem? All she did was break someone's arm for Intel, that's
" You don't go breaking peoples bones because you need answers"! Wes shouted and turned Lexia to face him.
" Look, Wes, that's how the O'Connor Toretto family works! They don't talk; you make them talk! My dad is perfectly fine with it, and I could care less if you are! I have a family, especially my daughter, to get back to, and nothing is getting in my way"!
Lexia went to walk away but Wes grabbed her wrist and whispered: " You have a daughter"?
" Luna Amber Santiago." Lexia replied with a smile
" Its Liam's daughter," Wes said in shock.
" I was thirteen when I got pregnant. Liam and I had only been dating for six months, but we'd known each other for five months before that. One night I ran away from home in the middle of the night and Liam met me at a hotel. We talked for a couple of hours then we kissed and poof. I found out I was pregnant two weeks later. Liam and I agreed to tell his parents, but not mine, how they never noticed I was carrying a baby is beyond me. I was underweight when I was pregnant, and I went to Liam's every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and every time I had an appointment, the doctors would all give me food. His parents were shocked at first, but then they made a baby room and were happy to have me over every day. I didn't spend much time at home but when I did, it was hell, and I knew I couldn't raise my child in that house."
" You left her at Liam's didn't you," Zak asked, a hint of sadness in his voice.
" I didn't have a choice; she wouldn't have stood a chance in my house. I didn't even give the hospital my real name, terrified that my parents would find out and hurt her. I told them my name was Alexis West, and they didn't ask questions. Some of them knew my real name from before but let it slide. I weighed ninety pounds at the end of the pregnancy, I went back down to below eighty in a matter of weeks, and on my birthday of all days, Luna Amber Santiago was born. She weighed six pounds five ounces, and I visited her every day at Liam's house. Liam got to see her first steps, and then two weeks later, he's dead and Luna's only going to have stories of her dad."
"Lex, the accident wasn't your fault," Wes said
" I told him to pick me up, and if I had just walked like normal, he'd be alive," Lexia said, tears streaming down her face " My daughter has to grow up without her dad because I couldn't walk fifteen blocks."
" Lex you don't know. It could've been you if you had walked, the accident could've happened coming home. You're always going to think about the ' what if's,' but no matter what would've happened it wouldn't have been your fault."
Lexia didn't say anything but more tears fell down her cheeks, and Wes pulled her into a hug, the young girl wrapping her arms around her brother instantly.
The crew stared at the siblings and couldn't believe what Lexia had been through in her life. Abusive parents, losing a boyfriend, having a child, being kidnapped, and having to fend for herself.
" The day my dad found me in my father's stolen truck, I was heading to Liam's to tell him I was pregnant. Then the day he saw me in my pj's on the streets, I was going home to pack and take Luna and hit the road, never look back," Lexia said after she and Wes pulled away, " Funny how the world works."
" You got to tell him, Lex," Wes replied as he wiped his sister's tears.
" They still see me as this innocent little girl; it'll crush them, and maybe I'll tell them when I get across the border."
" What if you don't make it back sis? What we're doing right now, hunting down Diablo? It's risky, and you might not make it back alive."
" I'm an O'Connor Torreto, risky and possibly dying is my life every day. Nothing is standing in my way; I'm getting back across that border if it takes every ounce of strength I've got. My daughter is not growing up without a parent."
" Lex..."
" What if they don't want another little kid Wes! What if they hate me because I kept this big of a secret! They could kick me out on the streets! They won't ever trust me ever again, and I'll be alone!" Lexia shouted
" You don't turn your back on family," Derek said and Lexia whipped her head in his direction. " You told me your family lives by that code Lex, and if that's true, there's no way in hell they're kicking you out."
" Lex, your family loves you no matter what, Brian spent his whole life fighting for you, he'll never want to lose you," Wes said
" I got to tell him." Lexia breathed out and ran a hand through her hair making Wes smile.
Like father, like daughter.
