I wrote this since I haven't written UKLiech for a while and I've been reeeeeeeeeally busy lately to work on my bigger projects. Anyway, I love cross stitch and sewing and stuff and this pairing is sometimes called the embroidery pair so I think it suits them perfectly.

Anyway, enjoy! :)

The air was cold despite the large log fire crackling away in the corner, causing Lilli to shiver as she continued with her embroidery.

The rose was done and now she just had to focus on the words under it.

She had gotten through I, L,O , V, E as well as the Y and O.

It was just that darn U.

Letting out a small huff of irritating, the personification of Liechtenstein blow on her hands in an attempt to warm them up.

It didn't work, actually, they just shook more.

She sighed once again, this was getting annoying.

Oh how she would have loved to wear some gloves while she worked, but last time she accidently got them attached to her project!

She was about to give up when she felt a presence behind her.

"Lilli?"

The girl looked up, her lips breaking into a small smile as she recognized who had called her name.

"Oh, hallo, Arthur."

"Busy, are we?" The male nation smiled as he walked around the sofa and sat down next to her.

"You could say that." England raised an impressively bushy eyebrow.

"Say, isn't it a bit chilly to be doing that?"

"It's okay, the fire's burning." Lilli smiled gently.

"Yes, but still..." The green eyed Brit thought as he glanced at her shaking hands.

"I know, hang on a tick..."

"Hm? What are you-?" Before the Liechtensteiner could say anything, England had got up and knelt down in front of her, taking her small hands into his own.

"If you continue your needlework with shaking hands then you'll surely prick yourself. Ah! Not that I'm worried or anything! I just don't want you dripping blood on all the furniture or we'll both have to pay for it to be cleaned!" A small dusting of pink began to appear on the British man's cheeks.

"Well...I guess your work would get ruined too...And your hands are too pretty and delicate to be covered in plasters and blood..."

Lilli giggled.

"Danke." She let out a sigh. "Your hands are warm..."

"And your's are really soft... Gah!" The female nation chuckled at Arthur's embarrassment.

"It's alright, big brother says that all the time.

"Yes, well... I guess that's fine then. Do you think you can continue with less shaky hands now?"

"Ja."

Arthur released the smaller nations hands and watched as she carefully used the needle to lead the crimson thread to where she desired it to go. A content quietness filled the room excluding the faint crackling of the fire place until suddenly.

"Finished!"

"Really? Let me see." England stood up slowly (cause kneeling for a while really cramps up your legs sometimes!) before helping up Liechtenstein. She tied up the lose ends of the thread and removed the needle before pressing her masterpiece into the man's hands.

It took a couple of seconds for those deep green eyes to scan the fabric.

"It's beautiful, Lilli," he whispered, a warm smile painting his face as he began to hand it back to her. He raised an eyebrow, however, when she merely pressed it back in to his hands a little bit harder this time.

"Happy anniversary, Liebling."

Ah~ Cuteness overload~ Yeah, the ending's a little cliche but all my other EngLiech stories revolve around them before a relationship so writing one where they are actually an item is quite refreshing.

German translations:

Hallo - Hello

Danke - Thank you

Liebling - Love

I hope you enjoyed my little story and I'll try to write more when I have time.

Until next time...BYE BYE!
