Ba-dump

AN: Someday, I will write something that's more than 1000 words, related to history, and/or epic. Just not today. Let's stick to fluff today.

Ba-dump.

Run.

Ba-dump ba-dump.

Hurry!

Italy dove forward, catching the chicks just before they hit the ground. "Whew!" She checked the birds in her hands for injuries, ignoring the stinging on her arms and knees. Lightly scolding the birds (for some strange reason. I mean, it's not like they'll understand her. Then again, maybe they will, you never know. For example, Canada's bear, Kumanana or something, can talk and understand human language), Italy said, "Be more careful! I won't always be around to catch you! Next time we see each other, it better be because you're all flying into the distance, hear me?"

Giggling, she didn't notice her scratches slowly healing so that by the time she stood up to put the birds back in their nest, it was as if there were never any wounds to begin with. Nor did she notice the shadow behind a tree farther away. Or the wand the person was clutching. Let's just say Italy didn't notice a lot of things.

"Hey you!"

England turned around to see Italy running towards her. "I have a name, I hope you realize."

"Hmph, I know you do. I just prefer not to use names that are complete rip-offs of other names."

"For your information, I got my name first! And I-!" England paused. Italy wasn't going to interrupt? No retort? No rolling of her eyes? She just stood there, face going red as England watched her.

"What?"

"Is something wrong?"

Italy huffed. "...zie."

"...what?"

She burned an even brighter red and huffed again. "Grazie. For yesterday."

England smirked. "Come again?"

"You know what?! I give up! Why'd I even bother to try thanking such a bitch?!" And she stomped away. Hmph. Big baby.

Japan looked up at her friend as she returned, her bright red cheeks puffed out as she fumed. Italy answered the questioning looks she and Germany were giving her with, "Ugh! She's so infuriating! Why can't she just be, I don't know, likable?!"

As she continued to rant about all of England's faults, Germany just sighed with an exasperated look on her face before muttering, "Just admit that you like her already."

Italy screeched.

"I don't like her, what the hell are you talking about, why the hell are you giggling?!"

Japan giggled again. "Gomen'nasai, Itako, but you are blushing and I could not help it."

"W-well, that's because I'm angry, not because I like her or anything!"

"Tell yourself whatever you want to."

"Do try to admit it to yourself soon, okay, Itako?"

"I hate you guys!"
