Okami-san and Her Seven Companions

Chapter 6

Narrator: And we're back, and it's the day after Halloween! Our favorite love birds have given each other much to think about!

Ryoko was awoken by the smell of steamed rice and miso soup. She turned over, away from the bright light seeping in through the blinds, allowing a few locks of hair falling onto her face. She let out soft breaths, and clutched her blanket tightly. Immediately, her face became so hot and so red. Thoughts of the previous night invaded her mind. Ryoshi's touch lingered on her fingers, her shoulder and her entire body, nearly. She found part of herself wishing he was laying behind her, sharing his warmth. The rest of her, however, was ready for a welcome break from emotional interaction. She was, quite frankly, exhausted. She had no doubt that she trusted Ryoshi just as much as she trusted Ringo, but she still wasn't ready. She wanted to let things happen naturally, not in any rushed or false manner. She didn't like thinking about these kinds of things.

Ryoko walked slowly into the doorframe of the kitchen where Ringo was cooking up a storm.

"Well, good morning! Looks like I'm doing all the maid work today!" Ringo said, teasingly.

"Oh, give it a rest, would ya?" Ryoko spat, groggily.

"No can-do! Surely you know me better than that," Ringo said, in her usually cheerful voice.

"So… Have any nice dreams? Y'know- about your master? Master Ryoshi?" This, of course, was more than enough to set Ryoko off, but, it was still just too early. Ryoko's cheeks turned pink and she huffed and puffed right out of the kitchen, and right back into bed.

"Y'know, you can't lay in bed all day, even if it is the weekend. I made us a nice breakfast, and you still have to go to the gym, like always! Sooo, get up!" Ringo shouted, playfully tearing away Ryoko's covers. Ryoko stayed true to her fatigue and grunted angrily, pushing herself away from Ringo and towards the wall.

"I'm… I'm just so exhausted. Can't we just stay in today?"

"And skip the gym?!" Ringo exclaimed, her tone ridden with shock.

"I think it'll be fine, Ringo."

idk if ya'll caught that but Ryoko doesn't feel the urge to go the gym due to her emotional exhaustion, and her growing trust for Ryoshi. She still wants to remain strong, and even though she's not sure if she loves him yet, she's very glad to have him watching her back. Next one is gonna be Ryoshi's afterthoughts, after the whole Halloween shindig. Feels good to be back, baby.
