AN: The song Let it go is from Disney's Frozen, Jack's Sister (Mary) and Jack Frost are from Dreamworks Rise of the Guardians. Also note that in Jack's memory in the movie, his house is beside the lake that he drowned in, but when he comes out of the lake as Jack Frost in the opening scene, the house is gone, however, Mary is seen in the villiage in the opening scene talking to a man, so in the story after Jack died, the family had to move to the villiage and they're house was probably desroyed somehow. Please enjoy :)
Mary walked through the trees, her dress dragging behind her, and a single tear ran down her cheek.
"Be careful."
"We will!"
...
"Jack, I'm scared!"
"We're gonna have a little fun instead!"
...
"Now it's your turn."
...
"JACK! No! Jack!"
She shook away the memory, she wanted to remember happier times with her brother, not the horrid image of her brother's final moments that scarred into her mind.
She stopped at the familiar lake and looked at where they're house used to be. After Jack had passed they moved to the villiage, where it was safer. At first she didn't like it, she wanted to stay by the lake, in case Jack managed to swim back up, but he never did. Eventually she began to appreciate not living beside her brother's grave anymore.
"Jack..." She whispered, "I'm sorry...I miss you..."
She sighed. Somehow she had hoped he would magically come back, but he didn't. It had been years now.
Unknowingly to her, Jack sat on a tree branch above her, he looked down curiously. 'Her again? Why does she always come here talking about a boy with my name? Does she mean me? No...Couldn't be...It must be another Jack she's always talking about, she can't see me.' he thought.
"Jack," She took a sharp breath, "I'm so sorry, I wish you would come back, I miss you so much! It was all my fault, I know that, but I wish you would just come back!" She suddenly burst into tears.
Jack looked at her confused. '...Can she see me?..But...she's never seen me before...' He thought, jumping down from the tree. He hesitantly reached out to her, 'Maybe this time she will...' His hand went through her arm and he sighed. "I knew it..." He frowned, but he still didn't like her crying. Jack formed a snowflake in his hand and directed it at her. Making it's destination, it landed on her nose and she stopped crying.
"...Let it go...Let it go..."
Jack looked at the girl, "...Singing?" he thought, then smiled.
"Can't hold back anymore...Let it go, let it go, turn away and slam the door..." She sang. Jack smiled and snow began to fall. "I don't care what they're going to say!" She laughed as she picked up some snow and threw it in the air, turning away from the pond, "Let the storm rage on! The cold never bothered me anyway!"
"Yeah! That's the spirit!" Jack laughed, creating more snow to fall around Mary, sparkling beautifully.
"Let it go! Let it go! I am one with the wind and sky! Let it go! Let it go! You'll never see me cry! Here I stand and here I'll stay! Let the storm rage on!" Jack laughed watching her run around in the snow. He reconised her, she would sometimes come to the lake, but he never actually saw her smile or laugh before. Now seeing it for the first time, he liked it.
"Let it go! Let it go! And I'll rise like the break of dawn! Let it go! Let it go! Here I stand in the light of day! Let the storm rage on!" She stopped, turning to look at the pond. Jack stopped and watched her. She turned away from it and walked away, Jack still watching her as she said,
"The cold never bothered me anyway."
