"Are you sure about this?"
Felicity pursed her lips and slowly nodded. "About 90% sure."
"90%?"
She shrugged. "Well, there is a 5% chance that Lance sees behind the ruse and still manages to incriminate Oliver."
"What's the other 5%?" Diggle asked, sliding on the jacket.
"That whoever hacked my hack can do it again and discover the truth."
"Did you ever figure it out?"
She slowly nodded, uncertainty lining her features. "I did, and it's not good, but not to worry, there is a contingency plan in place for such a thing."
Diggle tilted his head and watched her. "I thought I was the contingency plan."
"You are, John, but you are Oliver's. I'm talking about my contingency plan."
"Does Oliver know?"
She smiled and Diggle knew the answer. Of course, he knew. It was a given that Oliver knew everything about Felicity's genius. Even the ones that could potentially risk more than they all bargained for.
"Alright, I've got the wireless hooked up to my tablet back at the house, so I can monitor your progress from there and not give anything away," Felicity remarked, passing an earbud to her friend.
Diggle nodded. "And we'll stay in contact the whole time?"
She jerked her head in a short nod. "Yep, I would give Oliver one, but Lance probably has him monitored for any kind of surveillance." She paused, shaking her head. "Though, I doubt he even thought of that, but better safe than sorry."
Diggle rolled his eyes and placed the earbud in his ear. "You know, sometimes I wonder about you, Felicity."
"In what way?" She asked, innocently.
He smiled. "I wonder how you keep most of your thoughts from mixing together because if it works the way your mouth does then it runs about 100."
She smiled at the compliment and shrugged. "Sometimes they do, but it's good to have a staple to keep them straight."
"Oliver?"
A blush appeared on her cheeks and gave the answer she didn't voice. Diggle placed a hand on her arm and smiled, kindly. "I've watched you two for the past few weeks and I've noticed how much you two depend on each other. If anyone were more suited together, it's you and Oliver."
She smiled, brightly, and nodded. "Thanks, John."
He nodded and stepped back, lifting the hood over his head. "Alright, let's do this."
She handed him Oliver's bow and arrows and nodded in approval. "I'll be hearing your progress and watching you from the house. If anyone tries to signal in on our broadcast, they will find about a thousand bounces off satellites and towers."
"A thousand?"
She shrugged and slid her earbud in her ear. "Well, I may have borrowed a few from the U.S, Russia, China, England, Canada, and other government and privately-owned satellites."
He chuckled and turned with a shake of his head. "Keep in touch,"
"Be careful."
He waved and disappeared through the door with Felicity sighing with resignation. "Please let this work."

"Everything set?"
Felicity nodded as she closed the door behind her and found Oliver standing in the doorway of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. "Uh…yeah…um…" She stuttered, trying to focus and force her eyes to move from Oliver's body to his amused filled eyes.
"Finding something interesting?"
She licked her lips and tried to remember that Diggle could hear her. She motioned to her ear and tried to turn away, but she was grounded at the spot.
Oliver chuckled and moved towards her, quickly, glancing in her ear. Taking out the earbud, he wiped it and placed it in his ear. "Dig, we'll be ready in about thirty."
"Got it. All set here."
Oliver nodded and responded with best wishes and lowered the earbud. "Now, what were you going to say?"
She glared at him, playfully and shook her head. "How dare you come out wearing nothing but a towel when you knew tonight was important." She scolded, playfully, pushing her finger against his chest.
He laughed and grasped her wrist, turning her around so her back was against his chest. "I thought you preferred me this way."
She rolled her eyes and squirmed in his arms. "What I prefer is if no one else sees you like this. I might have been Laurel or…"
"Or my wife." He whispered, huskily.
She shivered and tried to resist the urge to turn and kiss the dickens out of him. They had a mission tonight. No time for a lovemaking session. "You need to change for…the…party." She panted, as his lips moved over her neck just below her ear.
"I thought I might go as Rambo from the shower scene."
She groaned and pushed her arms down as much as she could, but found it fruitless as he had a lock on her arms. "And have other women drooling over you!" She shouted in a whisper.
He chuckled against her skin and opened his mouth at the curvature of her neck, sending shivers through her body. "Well, I was just thinking about how long it had been since you've drooled over me."
She moaned, her eyes closing on instinct. "I drool over you every day, especially when you are on that…salmon ladder."
He hummed. "Why do you think I do it every day?"
Her legs wobbled and she bit her bottom lip, forgetting momentarily that she was made at him for distracting her. His lips were burning her skin and his hands were loosening their hold on her wrists. She was weakening from desire and she had to stop it.
They had a mission. They had…
"Oh, forget it," She moaned, turning her head and captured his lips with hers. He relinquished her arms and she circled them around his neck, pressing her body closer to his when their mouths opened in a dance of mouths that would have made anyone turn away with a blush.
His hands roamed over her back, underneath her shirt and her skin tingled with sparks. She pushed her body closer and sighed against him. Nothing seemed to separate them from this moment. They were one and whole.
They pulled back together, panting as their foreheads touched. "You are not wearing just a towel to the party."
He licked his lips and laughed, breathlessly. "Yes, ma'am."
She focused her eyes on his and glared at him. "If you even think about it…I will…"
"I know, honey." He interrupted with a laugh. "I've seen you fight to remember. You could probably best me on the mat."
She lifted her chin with pride and nodded, curtly. "True, though I may be a touch out of practice."
"Don't worry, I can get you back in shape, and I'll even go easy on you." He whispered, kissing her lips quickly before turning away.
She growled and moved towards him, but he blocked her advance with a quick reflex, but before he could make another move, she side-stepped and swept her leg behind him, causing him to fall to the floor with a hard thump.
She gasped and moved over him. "Oh, I didn't mean for you to land that hard!" She exclaimed, checking for injuries.
He glared at her and grabbed her and rolled her over with him on top. "I've been hit with worse, Felicity."
She smiled and searched his eyes. "I know. I just wanted you on top of me."
He paused for a moment before letting out a laugh and shook his head. "You are as bad as I am, Felicity Smoak."
She laughed and nodded. "What can I say, you've been an influence on me."
"A bad one, it would appear."
She shook her head against the floor. "No, a wonderful one."
He chuckled and bent his head to capture her lips with his.
"Uh, before you two start something you'll want to finish, I suggest you save it for after the party."
Felicity gasped and covered her face, while Oliver laughed at her reaction when she realized the door was opened and Thea was standing under the threshold.
"And, uh, Ollie, you, uh, better cover up before mom sees you," Thea remarked, turning her head, averting her eyes.
He lifted a fraction and realized the towel had fallen off during the struggle with Felicity. "I had just gotten out of the shower."
"Yeah, and you couldn't put on your clothes before tackling Felicity. No offense, Felicity."
Felicity shrugged and buried her face in his shoulder as he sat up, bringing her with him, as he covered his waist with the towel. "None taken," She finally responded.
"Next time, lock the door if you guys want to…have sex."
Oliver glared at his sister and she shrugged, grabbing the door. "Oh, and the party starts in ten minutes, some of the guests are beginning to arrive. Just so you know."
As the door closed, Felicity glared at her husband, who smiled, sheepishly. "I hope we didn't scar her," Oliver responded, playfully.
"Knowing your sister, we probably didn't." Felicity returned, holding his eyes. "Let's go, Rambo."
He chuckled and helped her stand up before they went to change for the festivities for the night.
All the while, hoping it all went the way they planned it.

"Felicity,"
Felicity turned at the sound of her name and frowned, slightly as she caught the eyes of Laurel Lance. "Yes?"
Laurel frowned and glanced down. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for what I said at the welcome home party for Oliver. I should have realized that Oliver had changed in those five years."
Felicity nodded. "Sometimes the hardest people to prove that to are the ones who refuse to believe it."
"Or the ones who want to hang onto the past, like my father."
Felicity swallowed. "I know about Sarah and I'm sorry for your loss."
"Thank you," Laurel remarked, carefully.
An uncomfortable silence surrounded them as the music blared around them. Felicity nodded an excuse me and moved away from the lawyer, knowing it took a lot for the woman to say those words.
She found Oliver near the corner with Tommy and nodded towards him, moving towards the back room, away from the party.
Passing the earbud to him, she nodded as she brought up the images where Diggle was waiting. Tapping a few key strokes into the tablet she watched the scene come to life.
"Okay, Dig, you're on."
"Save me a slice of cake."
Oliver chuckled and nodded as he directed his new friend towards tonight's target.
Arrows and bullets flew as Diggle was able to use the grappler arrow to escape, but not before he said Oliver's signature phrase. "You have failed this city."
Felicity shook her head with a smile and waited before Diggle was safe from the assault before making sure the vigilante attack was broadcasted everywhere.
Sirens could be heard outside, and Felicity signed off as Oliver gave Diggle new instructions to make sure the final phase was completed.
Felicity slid the tablet away from her and Oliver removed the earbud for them to place both in the shelves of the library before the house was bombarded with cops.
Oliver smiled at Felicity, moving his eyes up and down her cops' costume with a mid-thigh skirt and a semi-busty top. Grabbing her by the waist, he pulled her close and kissed her with his arms surrounding her and her hands threading through his hair.
It was a sensual move, one that was interrupted when Detective Lance barged into the room with the rest of the force behind him. He swallowed, taking in the scene of Oliver sucking on Felicity's neck and hearing her moan.
He cleared his throat, and they jerked up with Oliver placing his arm around the young woman's waist with her left hand touching his chest.
"Oliver Queen, you're under arrest."
"What's the charge? Because I'm pretty sure Felicity is over the adult age. Right, darling?"
Felicity glared at him but nodded.
"You broke the house arrest."
"What do you mean? I've been here the whole time. Right, baby?"
She licked her lips and nodded. "He hasn't left the house all day."
"What proof do you have, Detective?" Laurel asked, entering behind her father, moving to stand between the couple and the Detective.
"The vigilante attacked someone else tonight."
"I haven't left the house," Oliver remarked, motioning to his ankle. "You can monitor my movements."
"There are ways to bypass the security."
"I also have witnesses who will prove I was here and I never left." Oliver returned, strongly.
"If Oliver was here tonight, and the vigilante attacked tonight." Laurel began, with a smile. "That means your case against Oliver is full of water, Detective."
Detective Lance shifted on his feet and glared at Oliver before shifted his gaze to his daughter. "He will pay for what he has done. He will slip up and when he does, I'll be there." He stated, turning on his heel and motioned for the others to leave the room.
"Is that what Sarah would want?" Laurel called, watching her father freeze for a moment before leaving the room and ultimately the house.
"Thank you, Laurel."
Laurel turned and nodded at Oliver. "He will never stop hounding you, Oliver. You need to be careful." She began, carefully. "You may not be the vigilante, but he will find something else to get you with."
Oliver nodded and moved his gaze to Felicity as the door closed behind Laurel. "Well, that worked out."
Felicity nodded in agreement and sighed. "For now,"
"For now, that's all we need."
"I hope you're right."
He sighed and kissed her forehead. "Me too."
Please be kind!
I know I left this story hanging, but life has a way of hitting you from all sides and distracting you from writing. Honestly, this year has been...well, I won't bore you.
I'll try to get the next chapter up and going soon, but I'm not making promises.
I had wanted this chapter to be longer, but it didn't work out. Maybe the next one will be.
Next Chapter: Five Years Earlier: Searching
Until Next Time...
