Urai Fenn paced furiously across the floor of the Merciless briefing room. Tyber was late, over an hour late, and that wasn't like Tyber, not at all. The massive avian stopped, considering if he should head down to Tyber's stateroom to check on him.

Just then, Tyber rushed in, unshaven and disheveled.

"Tyber, where have you been?" he asked in his deep, hollow voice.

"In bed. I… had a… rough night."

"I see. Last we met we were discussing the matter of the Dathomir witch…"

"I've taken care of her."

Surprise flashed in Urai's black eyes. "She gave you the holocron willingly?"

Tyber sat down and sighed, "No."

"Then you killed her?"

"She's still alive and well."

"So, she never had the holocron."

"She did."

"Do you mean that she's escaped?"

"No. We… came to an agreement."

"An agreement? What did she offer in return for her life?"

"Urai, I dealt with it, it's time to move on."

Urai blinked. "What are talking about, Tyber? You don't trust me? We settled this many years ago; I don't want power. All I want is to be part of the game, I want the experience and the thrill of battle."

"I trust you more than I trust myself, Urai."

"Then why not tell me? What is the matter with you?"

"I… oh, sithspit, there's no point in denying it. It isn't as if we'll be able to hide it."

The last piece finally clicked in Urai's mind. "Wait… Tyber, don't tell me that she… she… seduced you?"

Tyber sighed and brushed a lock of hair out of his face. "Why don't you take a seat Urai, I have a lot of explaining to do."
