A/N: Just a quick, fun idea of what Fred might've nicknamed Hiro.
"...Honey Lemon? Go Go? Wasabi?" Hiro questioned incredulously.
"I spill wasabi on my shirt one time!" Wasabi griped in the background. "One time!" he stressed, marching out the door.
"Fred is the one who comes up with the nicknames," Tadashi explained.
"Uh, who's Fred?"
"This guy right here!"
"I've got it!" Fred suddenly declared, grabbing Hiro by the shoulders.
Pausing to listen, the other three stopped in the hallway with them.
Eyes narrowed, giving the teen a hard stare, the intensity of his concentration and the pressure of Fred's grip combined to practically tip Hiro over.
"Got what?" Hiro asked, wondering if he really wanted to know.
"Your nickname," Fred pronounced solemnly.
Knowing smiles spread on the other's faces; Wasabi and Go Go folding their arms expectantly, while Honey Lemon clasped her hands in suppressed excitement.
Taking on an air if pomp dignity for his announcement, Fred declared regally, "I dub thee... Squirt!"
"Squirt?" Hiro echoed, disbelieving, though the opinions of the others seemed to differ greatly from his.
"Oh, that's perfect!" Honey Lemon exclaimed softly with a warm smile.
"Not bad," Go Go approved.
"It's excellent man," Wasabi agreed.
Shooting an unappreciative frown in their direction, Hiro demanded drily, "But why 'Squirt'?"
Continuing down the hallway without them, satisfied now that he had given Hiro a nickname, Fred called over his shoulder, "It's what Tadashi called you."
Rooted to the spot, rendered immobile by the familiar pain that swept through him at the mention of his brother's name, Hiro wasn't aware of someone coming close to him until Honey Lemon put her arm around his shoulders comfortingly.
"After we met you," she explained gently. "While you were working on your microbots, he used to refer to you as 'Squirt' when we would ask how you were doing."
Inhaling deeply, offering a grateful, tentative, smile, Hiro replied, "It's okay. I like it."
