Episode 1: -man

The previous day was now but a blur for Allen Walker.

He was being awoken by a light grip on his right shoulder, gently being shaken awake.

"Allen?"

His eyes fluttered open, his vision blurred for just a moment, before it was clear who was hovering above his head.

"Lenalee? Where am I?" He murmured, slowly sitting up from the carpeted floor.

"That's what we're trying to figure out, Beansprout. The fact that you've been asleep on your ass the entire time isn't helping, either." A dark haired samurai grumbled.

Lenalee rolled her eyes, "Don't listen to him. He's just in a bad mood because he doesn't have Mugen." She explained.

Allen didn't speak, instead, he looked around, taking in his surroundings. Many familiar and unfamiliar faces, their voice blending into untranslatable chaos.

The room itself was fairly large. The walls themselves were painted a dark plum, although, they were decorated with many unusual paintings, varying from an odd clown painting, to a woman whose eyes seemed to follow your every movement. Near the middle placed was two large red couches, a cushion on both ends.

A dark coffee table lay in front of the couch, where the empty envelope lay abandoned.

Pushes against the wall was a large television screen. It seemed it did not have an existing remote.

"Komui! Is this another one of your experiments gone wrong? What have you done!?" Reever Wenhamm clung to the chief in desperation.

"No! I don't know what happened. Perhaps we've been kidnapped?" He suggested.

Johnny, a scientist, looked queasy. "I hope not.." He murmured.

"What if we never get out!?" Miranda panicked.

"Of course we'll get out." Krory tried reassuring the anxiety-ridden woman.

Over the chorus of voices, a loud one spoke out.

"EVERYBODY SILENT!" Bookman shouted. Their attention was now directed to the short old man.

"It appears we have a letter." He said, gesturing to a sealed envelope in his hand.

"Well then read it, Panda!" Lavi enthused, earning an anger-fueled kick the the head.

Standing atop his apprentice, the elder continued.

"The letter reads 'Good evening. I'm sure you have noticed, you all have been collected together in an unfamiliar place.'"

Mixed results from each individual progressed, looks of weariness, annoyance, and indifference.

"One hell of a greeting." Lavi muttered from under Bookman's foot.

"You all have been gathered to view the upcoming events that will occur. Any form of weapon has been taken, along with the ability to transform a part of your body into a weapon. If you are to be harmed in the following episodes, you will experience the same feeling of pain, despite not actually having the injury. With sincerity, M.E." He finished.

"M.E?...Millenium Earl? You've got to be kidding.." Komui muttered.

"Brother, let's talk about it later. For now, perhaps we should watch and see what happens." Lenalee said.

"Right, anything for you, my precious Lenalee!" He cooed. His many coworkers sweat dropped at his clingy behavior.

Before long, the couches were evenly filled out. Allen, Lavi, Kanda, and Lenalee had decided to stick with the floor, rather than squishing their way in between people just to sit on the couch.

"Baby sister, you know you don't have to sit on that filthy floor! Right?" Komui had his hands wrapped around her protectively.

"What about us?" Lavi spoke up.

"You can have the floor." Komui said.

"Thanks." The redhead replied blandly.

Without warning, the show began.

The image of Allen with his eyes closed appeared. His hand was placed over his chest. He held his hand high as it transformed into his anti akuma-weapon.

A close up of the crystal embedded in his hand appeared, the image growing closer before the screen became white.

The words " -Man" flashed on the screen.

" -man? We have a title?" Allen said, glancing towards Komui.

"Don't look at me! I don't know anything about this stuff. I've never heard of it." Komui justified.

"Besides, if anything, I'd come up with a much nicer name. Not a confusing one." He nodded.

"Of course." Allen said, wearing a slight grin.

The next image played, a side view of a brunette child standing in front of a man wearing a top hat.

"Who are they?" Reever spoke up curiously. "They don't look like anyone we know."

"Maybe if we watched longer than two seconds, we'd know." Kanda said, annoyed.

"No need to be so rude. I was just asking." Reever held his hands in front of himself, as though surrendering.

"Saketa mine no kizuguchi ni"

An upside down image of Allen appeared on the left.

"Wait, Allen, is that you as a child?" Miranda asked.

"Yes, that's me." He replied. "Behind me is my foster father."

"Foster?" She said.

"I was adopted."

"Oh. I see." She answered back.

The next image flashed of Allen during a battle, his hand transformed into its weapon-form.

Just as quickly, another image appeared of the same child stood next to Timcanpy.

"Of course it's all about Beansprout. Are we not interesting enough?" Lavi said dramatically.

"No, no! It's not like that! You haven't appeared yet, although, you will soon." Allen said nervously.

Lavi laughed, "Relax Beansprout, I was only kidding." He said, wearing a confident smile.

"Afurenagareru pain in the dark"

The next scene played, Allen was once again in battle. His arm now transformed into its gun-like state, shooting at something that was off screen.

Another image appeared. A crying Lenalee sat on top of what seemed to be building wreckage, her hands covered her eyes. Dead leaves blew around her.

"Why were you crying? My dear sweet Lenalee, are you okay now?" Komui crushed her in a loving hug.

"Brother! It didn't even happen. I'm fine." She tried wriggling out of Komui's grasp.

"Are you sure?" He said, loosening his grip slightly.

She huffed out as a reply.

He leaned against the couch in understanding.

"Kasaneata shunkan no"

The next scene played, Allen was shooting towards the left of the screen, raising his arm.

The image dissipated, a new one taking over.

Multiple worn down buildings dissolved into a new theme.

A cartoonish image of a graveyard, a beautiful yellow crescent moon was the main centerpiece.

"Tsunagaru omoi tokashite"

Allen appeared once again, dragging his arm down as he shot at something below him.

"Only Allen and Lenalee have appeared! It's not fair." Lavi pouted.

A hand appeared, two fingers extended out as they slid across the blade of a sword. It was held in front of its owner, whose face was now visibly none other than Yuu Kanda's.

He swung it in front of him in on harsh motion, sending large, cricket-like insects to the attacker.

"Even Kanda!" Lavi groaned.

"Quit complaining, stupid rabbit." Kanda scolded.

"Says the one who already appeared.." Lavi said.

"Che."

"Samenai netsu ni unasarete"

A level one akuma appeared, being attacked by the insects, before fully being destroyed.

Next shown was Allen and Lenalee smiling, whilst Kanda was scowling.

"Saigo no koe mo kikoenai"

The Millenium Earl appeared on screen, dragging an umbrella down as he striked down. An army of level one akuma appeared behind him, bringing on a wave of steam.

"I give up." Lavi sighed, defeated

.

"Kimi ha furuete ita oh..."

A pair of legs appeared, innocence wrapping around them, the image panning above shown Lenalee twisting towards an akuma whilst in the sky, landing a kick directly on top, destroying the being.

The image of a level two appeared, wearing a disfigured smile.

"Sotto kazasu tenohira nu furete misete"

Three suddenly appeared on screen, prepared.

A smiling Lavi flashed, holding out his enlarged hammer, raising it and applying a seal by slamming it onto the ground.

"Hey! There I am! I'm not completely unimportant!" Lavi cheered.

"Good for you." Komui said dryly.

Bookman appeared behind Lavi, wearing a stern expression.

Road appeared next, stood on top of the hovering Lero. Candles were strewn in the air.

"Kitto sagashite ita nda iroasenai kimi to ou na no kiseki wo"

A close up of her face appeared, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

Next appeared Tykki, his gloved hand raised. An unusual grin was unnatural on his face, his eyes glowing brightly.

Tease surrounded around him, flapping their wings.

"I don't know a lot about Noah, but I'm pretty sure their eyes aren't supposed to glow." Lavi said uncomfortably.

Allen and Lenalee both nodded in agreement with Lavi's statement.

"Or that they're supposed to smile like that.." Allen shuddered.

Tykki appeared a second time, a side view of his face while his hand held the brim of his hat. The sight grew closer to his eyes, his head turned

forwards.

Miranda showed up, her innocence shroud her, causing her short hair to blow upwards, a surprised expression clear on her face.

Although Miranda wouldn't admit it, she was rather happy she actually was on screen. It meant she had at least some importance.

A tedious-looking Miranda appeared, hands together nervously. Her back was against another woman who wore a uniform from the black order.

"Motto tsuyoku tenohira de boku ni furete"

Clocks surrounded the two, swirling in the air gracefully.

Krory appeared next, his castle stood behind him. He wore a determined grin as he leaped into the air.

"I'm there too? I never thought I'd make it!" Krory said gleefully.

Allen appeared next, anxiety-filled expression. Behind him was Marian Cross with a scary spark in his eye. In his hand was a hammer.

"He showed up?!" Allen groaned.

"You can't pretend I wasn't apart of your life, idiot." A gruff voice said.

"YOU'RE HERE!?" Komui and many workers in the science department said.

He took a puff of his cigarette, "Had no choice." He said.

Komui sighed.

Eliade appeared, a finger pressed against her lip, her akuma form stand behind her.

The image of Eliade honestly made Krory want to cry. He missed her so much! After all, she was his first and only love. How could he not miss her?

"Ever and never end"

The behind Allen was shown, Timcanpy flying towards him.

Allen's turned towards Timcanpy, extending his right arm out, giving the golem a place to rest.

"Tokihanatsu so far away"

A scene of Komui holding a phone against his ear appeared, wearing a sly grin.

"YES!" Komui visibly cheered.

Reever flashed on screen, along with Johnny, Tapp, 65, and many other workers.

Next on screen was Lavi, knelt down while admiring a poster of a beautiful woman, Allen, who was smiling down at the redhead. Lenalee, who was carrying groceries, and Kanda, standing with his arms crossed.

The screen darkened.

"Is it finally going to begin?" Cross said, putting out his cigarette on the bottom of his shoe.

"I think so." Lenalee answered.

A waving flag with the rose cross symbol appeared.

"Exorcists.. Those who are chosen by God..." A deep voice spoke.

Multiple men each held an identical sign, stood outside the Black Order in an ordered fashion.

A foot stepped into water, created a twinkling noise.

Allen's back was exposed on screen, his left arm held out to his side.

"They exist to destroy the ominous beings that appear from the darkness..."

Allen subconsciously covered his left hand, despite it being covered. He didn't want so many people seeing his hand. He felt insecure.

Lavi, being Lavi, noticed this, but decided not to say anything in fear of making the boy feel uncomfortable.

A close-up of his hand appeared, the cross now visible.

His hand covered the left part of his face, his eye was closed.

Suddenly, his eye opened, showing off a red-and-black target-like pattern.

The middle of the cross was show, a gleam dazzling it.

The Millennium Earl leaped back, avoiding Allen's transformed arm.

The whistle of a train took over the screen.

The train rode loudly against the track, eventually riding to its station. Many people waited at the platform, all with some form of luggage.

A close up of people walking of the train appeared. Allen stepped off next. Instead of his usual uniform, or dressy outfit he usually wore, he currently was wearing an orange coat with a green rag tied around his head.

"Oh! Will we get to see your journey to the Order?" Lavi clapped.

"Probably. But you know, it wasn't that exciting." Allen informed.

"Has to be more interesting than mine." Lavi laughed.

Before Allen could ask, he was interrupted.

"Long story." Lavi laughed.

"...Okay."

A large clock tower was broadcasted, ringing.

The sight panned out, showing the streets, filled with many people walking and riding carriages.

Timcanpy was shown flying above one of the carriages.

"Timcanpy! Timcanpy!" Allen's voice was heard. A back view of the exorcist was shown, his hand cupped against his cheek to broadcast his voice a bit louder.

"As soon as I send you on your way, you lose Timcanpy?" Cross said, glaring in Allen's direction.

"You didn't send me on my way. You abandoned me in India." Allen answered dryly.

"I told you where the Black Order was."

"You left a 15 year old to travel all the way from India to England."

"You found your way."

"That doesn't justify!" Allen said, frustrated.

"How about you shut up so we can watch?" Kanda snapped.

Allen just couldn't win.

The white haired boy wore a look of surprise when Timcanpy landed on his head.

"Don't fly around too much. You'll get eaten by a cat." He warned. The curtain behind him was pulled open, causing Allen to look. Behind it were two performers, a woman wearing a rabbit mascot head, and a clown. The clown handed him a cone-shaped food item wrapped in news paper.

"Would you like one?"

"Thank you very much." Allen said, gladly taking it.

The woman playfully pushed the clown off to the side. "Are you on a trip?"

"No. I'm paying a visit.." He paused. "...To Exorcist Headquarters."

"Idiot! You weren't supposed to say anything!" Cross sent a strong slap against the back of Allen's head.

The white haired boy clutched his head in pain. "How was I supposed to know!? You didn't say anything!"

"You shouldn't tell a stranger exactly where you're going! That's just stupidity!"

"It's not like they even knew what I was talking about.." Allen muttered, rubbing the painful spot on the back of his head.

"Whatever. Try not to be so careless next time. You'll blow the Order's cover." Cross said.

The moon was shown on a cloudy night.

A woman wearing a police uniform was shown.

"Hey, you know what? I heard a lot of people disappeared in this place." Said a feminine voice.

"Since it's no longer in use, travelers who don't have money stay overnight here."

The scene switched to a bird-eye's view of the road.

"And by morning, they're nowhere to be found."

"Let me guess, you stayed there overnight?" Lavi asked Allen.

"I had no where else to go!" He said.

"Of course." Lavi said, shaking his head.

"Only their clothes remain..."

"This place must be cursed, because two years ago, there was also..." The voice paused.

The same woman was shown, now walking up to a large gate that belonged to the so called 'cursed building.'

"Moa! Are we really going in?!" A scared male voice said.

"What does this have to do with anything?" Kanda complained

"This is a woman I met on my way to the Order." Allen said.

"Che. Whatever."

"We're being flooded with complaints from the townspeople saying that people have been dissappearing in here." She said. The police woman's face filled with worry.

"Didn't I tell you that this place is cursed?!" The man said, desperately clinging to one of the bars to the gate.

"Charles... Is that something a police officer should say?" She said, unamused.

She walked inside, tucking her hair into the uniform hat.

"In any case, it's just a mischievous rumor."

"Or an Akuma." Komui said, many people nodded in agreement.

"Basically." Allen answered.

"This place isn't cursed!"

The scene cut to the man's fearful face.

"Okay, okay."

The door creaked open as the two walked in.

Charles shuddered. The window appeared to have been busted before they had walked in.

"This place is run-down." He stated.

"I wonder if travelers really stay overnight in this place." Lenalee said.

"Nope. Only brainless ones do." Kanda said.

"Shut up! Where else was I supposed to sleep?" Allen groaned.

"Anywhere but a haunted building?" Lavi considered.

"It wasn't haunted! It had an Akuma. I took care of it." Allen retorted.

"Sure you did." Lavi said blandly

Allen, now annoyed, sighed.

A close up of there feet were shown. Broken glass was scattered across the floor.

Charles' screamed caused Moa to snap in his direction.

"What is it!?"

His terrified face was shown, pressing his body against a wall.

"S-Something is touching my foot!" He said shakingly.

A cat purred against his leg.

"What type of police officer is this guy?" Kanda scoffed.

Moa picked up the animal.

"It's a cat."

The sound of bats suddenly dropped her interest in the feline. She looked up, only to be greeted by darkness.

Many bats flew towards them.

Charles screamed a second time.

Moa looked up, shocked as the flying animals swarmed around her, causing her to let out a small shriek of surprise.

Charles panted, his chest to the floor.

"Are you okay, Moa?!"

He asked, receiving no answer.

"Moa?!"

An unknown force masked by the bats forced her into a different room, shoving her back into a chair.

"Gotcha!" Allen's voice spoke.

"Allen? What were you doing to her?" Lenalee asked, a bit suspicious of her friend.

"Nothing bad! I thought she was something else.."

"Like what?"

"I don't know! I was just trying to find Timcanpy. I didn't think there would be other people in that place, considering how creepy it was.

"A... A human?!" he stuttered.

The woman coughed. Allen removed his hand from her shoulder.

"What're you doing in a place like this?!" he asked.

Suddenly, she snapped a handcuff around his wrist.

"I left you for hardly a week, and you're already in trouble with the police." Cross muttered.

"It wasn't my fault!" Allen grabbed at his hair, frustrated. He refused to argue any longer.

"How dare you...!" She spoke with fury.

A sweat drop appeared over Allen's head.

'And she's s police officer?!'

"Who are you?!" She asked.

"I... I'm sorry!" He apologized quickly.

"I was trying so hard to catch that cat that I didn't realize..." He trailed off. "Uhm... I was just trying to catch the cat." He finished simply.

A cloud moved away from the room, expelling more light though the window. His face was now visible for the police officer.

"Uhm... I'm just a traveler." He answered her question, holding his hands up to prove he didn't have any weapon.

The scene zoomed out, showing the front of the building.

"Oh... I didn't realize that there was such a disturbing rumor about this place..." He said.

"I just arrived in this town tonight." It appeared his hands were now on one of the broken window sills. "When I was walking by this place, this stay cat ate something important to me."

"You let a cat eat Timcanpy after I put himself in your care!?" Cross growled.

"It was Tim's own fault this time! I told him if he flew away, something bad would happen." Allen's words did not help lessen Crosses hard glare.

"So I was looking for the cat all this time."

"Uh-huh..." She said, crossing her arms disapprovingly.

"I-I'm not lying!" Allen said quickly.

"Which is exactly what a liar would say." Lavi pointed out.

"Lavi, even you? You know I'm not lying!"

"Of course I know you're not, but it doesn't change the fact that a liar would say the same thing." Lavi replied.

Allen groaned.

"Master left it in my care, so I can't afford to lose it!" Allen said.

"At least you have some of your priorities straight." Cross said.

"Master? So where is he?"

"This ought be a lovely story." Komui said.

"What? Well..." He trailed off awkwardly, a disgruntled expression took over.

"He went missing in India..." His head bowed dreadfully.

The cat hopped onto one of the chair arms.

"It's your fault!" Allen said tearfully to the cat, the animal meowing back at him.

Moa sighed. 'He's still a child...'

"In any case, I'll go get my partner, so wait here." She said, holding her hand up.

The cat meowed for his response.

The screen reached outward, showing the building once again. Charles' scream tore the night, causing a multitude of bats to fly out of a tree they had been in.

His voice caused both Moa and Allen to wear identical looks of horror.

"Wh-What's that?!" Moa asked. The building shook violently.

"What happened?" Reever asked.

"I think he just saw an Akuma." Lavi answered.

"You wait here!" Moa hushed Allen, before sprinting down the stairs, back where she last saw her partner.

"Who's there?!" She called out.

Without in answer, her face grew shocked.

The scene panned out, showing Charles now ties against one of the pillars, steam evaporating from his body.

Painful groans spilled from his mouth. A star was planted on his right cheek, growing into a pattern.

"Ch... Charles..." Moa stuttered. The pattern now covered every inch of his body, turning his skin into a charcoal gray.

Suddenly, he was nothing more than mere particles in the air.

The hat fell from where his head once was, bouncing loudly against the stone ground.

"Oh, no... Could this rumor really be..." She said, a horrified expression brief in her eyes.

She clutched her throat desperately. "What's going on? It's hard to breath..." She heaved.

Allen appeared behind her, the scarf he wore on his head was now pressed against her mouth.

"Be careful! This gas is poisonous." He warned her.

"How'd you manage to escape?" Lenalee spoke in awe.

"I don't really remember the details." He said, wearing an awkward grin. "But she's okay now, which that's good." Allen finished.

He looked up. "He was killed by an Akuma." Allen said.

"A... Akuma?" She said, before fading out of consciousness.

Allen gasped, "Officer?!" He tried to wake her up.

The screen darkened.

Her sleeping face was shown. No longer did she wear the hat, nor glasses.

Moa's eyes shot open. She sat up from the bench she had been sleeping on, lightly rubbing the side of her head.

"Oh, Moa! You've come to!" Another officer said. "Hm? Where am I?" She said groggily.

"At the station!" Suddenly, he grabbed her arm and pulled her up from the seat.

He dragged her towards a door, banging on it. "Captain! Officer Moa has come to!"

"Shouldn't he have given her a bit of time to actually awaken?" Lenalee said.

"She's a police officer, they don't waste any time." Kanda told her.

Moa put on the rounded glasses before the door was opened. The officer immediately pulled her in.

"Oh, that's right! Charles was..." She carried off.

"We know." The other officer interrupted her. "We're questioning the suspect right now."

"What?" Was all she said, a look of confusion on her face, the glasses tilting down to the tip of her nose.

Allen and Moa shared a glance.

"His name is Allen Walker." Said the chief.

She sweat dropped.

The captain slammed his hand into the desk, now yelling. "You did it, didn't you?!" He accused.

Allen clutched onto the cat, an animated look of fear clear on his face.

"Like I said, I didn't! What makes you think I did it?!" He said.

"I was right. This is way more interesting!" Lavi said, grinning.

"Not for me..." Allen muttered, tucking his knees close to his chest.

"All I did was bring back the officer who passed out..." He said.

"You were at the crime site, right?! You're suspicious!" The captain said.

"His logic is a bit off..." Johnny said.

"And your hand! It's deep red!" The captain pointed out, grasping Allen's left hand with a mighty force.

"Oh, uhm, this is how it always is..." Allen said softly.

Suddenly, the partial black glove worn over his hand was unbuttoned, exposing the cross. Moa wore a look of shock, while the captain looked disgusted.

"Wh-What the hell is that?!" He stuttered.

Komui had the strong urge to slam his fist into that man's face.

"What do you have embedded in your hand!?" The man pointed.

The gleaming cross was shown closer.

Allen wore an indifferent expression as the captain shoved his finger in his face.

"Geez, you're one crazy bastard!"

"This guy is getting on my nerves." Lavi said admitted. It was surprising even he was beginning to grow irritated with the obnoxious man.

"You should take good care of the body your parents gave you!"

Moa finally interrupted.

"E-Excuse me..." She stuttered.

"Hm?!"

She placed a hand on Allen's back. "This boy was with me until the incident happened." Earning a thankful look from Allen.

"What?!" The captain said.

A man knelt down and whispered in his ear. "Captain, there're bullet holes which look like they came from a large firearm. However, this boy's belongings included only a cat and a small suitcase. So far, no such firearm has been discovered at the crime site."

The man's face scrunched up in wrath.

"Why did you pass out, Officer Moa Hesse?!" He screamed in her face.

"How is this guy even a captain!?" Komui scoffed.

"Probably by his interrogation methods..." Allen shuddered.

"M-My apologies."

"She shouldn't have to apologize to this snob!" Lavi said.

The inspector placed his hands behind his head. "If you're at the crime-scene, at least look at the criminal!"

Allen raised his hand.

"Er, I know the criminal."

In sync, the captain and Moa gasped.

Allen's face was shown, partially shaded.

"I didn't see its appearance...But I know what kind of thing it is. Please let me help with this investigation. The name of the criminal is 'Akuma.' I encounter these situations often." He paused, holding his hand up to his own face. "It will keep on killing people. If we don't stop it quickly, the situation will get out of hand."

"Akuma?" Moa repeated.

Allen turned his hand, showing the glowing cross. "This is an Anti-Akuma weapon. Exorcists... Do you know of them?" He paused again. "I'm a clergyman whose specialty is to fight the Akuma."

The room grew silent. Allen allowed his words to sink in.

Moa's back was shown, once again, she was sweat dropping.

"Exorcist?!" The captain said.

"For some reason, I don't see this going well." Reever said.

"What's with that?" The same man spoke, scrunching his nose.

"Alright, that's enough. For now, that was a mistake." He waved Allen off. "I'm returning to the crime-scene." The captain stopped.

"Officer Moa!" He pointed. "You will watch this guy at your house!" He ordered.

Both Moa and Allen looked utterly horrified by his words.

"Ehh?!" They managed to squeak out.

"Awe! Allen's never stayed at another girl's house!" Lavi teased, clutching onto Allen.

"Gah! Lavi, she's an adult! Let go of me!" Allen squirmed.

With Lavi's refusal to unwrap his arms around Allen, the white-haired boy gave up.

The scenery changed, the roof of a building was shown.

"They say a policeman died."

A 'KEEP OUT' sign took over the screen.

"Under awful conditions, so it seems."

The inspector was shown, ordering two policemen back into the building.

"The rumor was true after all..." Said the voice. "Since they've become obsessed with this place."

"They?" Johnny said.

"The Akuma." One of the finders answered.

"What happened?"

The top of an open umbrella was shown with a pumpkin headpiece. A slight musical hum was heard behind the onlooking people.

"Two years ago... During a marriage ceremony... Some kind of accident occurred."

The close up of a man's mouth was shown slightly open, an unknown purple gas leaking past his lips.

A foot stepped towards the man. The purple gas enveloping around the figures large body. His face was now familiarly known as the Millennium Earl himself.

"My cute little Akuma! Kill more and more so you can evolve!" He boosted the man in the wheelchair.

"I didn't expect he would come in so quickly." Bookman admitted.

"I was hoping he wouldn't come in at all." Lavi said.

"Brother?" Moa's voice was heard from down stairs.

"I'm home, Brother. How is your body?"

The Millennium Earl backed away from the wheelchair, dissolving away with the unknown gas.

Moa opened the door.

"Welcome home, Moa." Said the ill-looking man. "Today, you've come back early." She closed the door behind herself.

"Brother...Lately, you haven't been eating at all." She spoke with a stern tone. "That's no good, you should eat properly." She finished. A close up of what had meant to be his meal was shown, untouched.

She walked towards it.

"My stomach is full. I'm sorry." He apologized.

"I wonder how long she's been taking care of him without knowing he's an Akuma.." Komui said sadly.

The man bowed his head. "But... It will soon pass."

Moa knelt down in front of him. "Hang in there, Mark." She comforted. A picture of two young adults on their wedding day was shown. The man vaguely looking like the sickly one in the wheelchair.

"My sister in Heaven... That's her wish, too."

Suddenly, a loud crash interrupted the moment.

"Hey! I said not to struggle about!" Allen's voice called out from behind the door, an angered cat's hiss was heard.

"Only the Beansprout could have an argument with a cat." Kanda spat out.

"My name is Allen! A-L-L-E-N!"

"I have to agree with Yuu. You look more like a Beansprout." Lavi said.

"How many times have a told you not to call me by that name?!" Kanda growled.

"You can't scare me, Yuu! You can't do anything without Mugen." Lavi said, pulling down his lower eyelid and sticking his tongue out.

"I'll show you what I can do with my fist-!" Kanda grabbed the collar of Lavi's shirt and pulled his arm back for a punch.

"Kanda! Let go of Lavi! Now." Lenalee ordered, now stood up.

For the shortest moment, Kanda glared at her. His midnight blue eyes unable to defeat her violet gaze of death. He let go of Lavi's shirt in the least gentle way possible.

"Now, shall we continue?" She said, a lovely smile graced her lips.

Those sat on the couch either were impressed, or fearful by Lenalee's abilities.

Allen came barreling through the door, now with his back against the wall, holding the cat.

A painting crashed down on top of his head. "Ow!"

Suddenly, Allen felt the shock of pain on his scalp. He his head with both hands.

"Ouch! Ah! I forgot about the pain factor.." He moaned.

Lavi full fledged laughed at Allen, causing Allen to smack the back of Lavi's head.

"Hey!" Lavi said.

"That's what you get for laughing." Allen said.

"Hey! Moa said. "What are you doing?!" She said, now standing in front of him. "You were trying to sneak to the church, weren't you?"

"Just for a little bit.." He said.

"You can't!"

With a complaining meow, the screen cut to the outside of the building.

Allen walked up to the window, the cat now comfortably wrapped behind his neck. He placed a finger on his chin in thought.

"It's right in front of me, yet.. I wonder if the Inspector is okay." He wondered out loud.

"Even after what he said to you and Moa, you still care about his well being?" Lavi said.

Allen shrugged, "It's not like he said anything bad. He was probably just stressed out. After all, he did just lose one of his officers." He said.

Lavi shook his head. "Typical Allen."

"Allen, do you really think the criminal is a demon?"

"Huh?..Yes..?" He said, now looking at her.

"What you call 'Akuma'…" she paused, opening up a book. "In the past, people created them out of fear and used them to explain illnesses and disasters." Moa explained. A close up of the page she was reading was shown, showing a deformed being with wings.

"They're just fantasy characters. I don't believe in curses or demons. I hate those things." She continued.

A side view of Allen's face was shown, listening. He closed his eyes at her sudden statement.

"Uhm…The Akuma I mentioned isn't that kind of thing." He replied.

"Eh?"

He held a finger up. "'Akuma' is the name of a weapon." The scene cut out to the wheel of the wheelchair rolling forward.

"It is a weapon made to eliminate mankind. That is 'Akuma.'" The scene showed Mark, now stopped in front of the door. "It's hard to distinguish them, since they usually take a human form."

The door slammed open. Mark was shown, teeth grit. Slow murmurs of pain carried from his lips. He looked as though he was in a great deal of pain.

"Brother?" Moa walked up to him. "What is it?"

Allen watched, a look of shock now clear. The scene grew closer to Allen's eye, more particularly, his left.

"This is where she's going to find out, isn't it?" Reever said.

Allen nodded.

His eye was changing form, instead of a blue-gray orb, it transformed into a black and red target.

Mark was shown, shivering.

Something hovered above him.

A decaying woman wearing shackles around her neck. The chains connected directly towards the ill man.

A wave of shock flew around the room.

Johnny swallowed a lump down his throat. "Allen..Is this what you see every time to see an Akuma?" He managed to say.

Allen was confused, only for a moment. He looked around, noticing a green hue on each member's face. Suddenly, he felt rather insecure of his eye. He felt guilty for everyone having to see it through his perspective. He had gotten use to it, but seeing it for the first time had been awful. He wouldn't wish the curse upon anyone.

He only nodded. His head was now bowed, almost in shame.

A close up of Mark's eyes were shown as a horrid scream of terror left his throat, dissipating into a horrid bubbling call that only an animal would be able to make.

His body was no longer sat in the wheelchair, but rather blown up large. He had turned into a level one Akuma.

His face was shown, his true form shielding over his screaming face.

Moa's face was shown, the expression mixed between confusion, fear, and shock.

The transformation of the Akuma was now complete.

A star embedded itself onto the forehead of the Akuma.

"What is...This?" She stuttered.

The gun armed itself.

Allen leaped towards her, wrapping an arm around her waist just as the Akuma began to shoot.

He was able to catch the bullet using his innocence-holding hand.

The force of the bullet caused him to be pushed outside, crashing him into a window belonging to the church. He landed directly on the concrete stone floor.

Allen was surprised when he felt the strong force on his back. He straightened his back when he felt a strong cramp of pain down his spine. A look of pain was apparent on his face.

"Are you okay?" Lavi asked.

"Yes. It was just unexpected." Allen said, rubbing his lower spine in hope to sooth it. Without the adrenaline in the fight, it meant his pain senses would be higher.

The police crew was shown, both gathered around to see what the crash was.

"A-are...you okay, Moa?" Allen asked.

"Where..where are-?" She asked.

"The old church." The bullet held in his hand was shown, steaming from the impact.

"No way! You caught the bullet?!" She reached for it.

"Don't touch it. This is an Akuma's bullet." He said, an apologetic expression worn on his face. "This bullet contains a malignant virus. An Akuma turns part of its body into projectiles. This bullet is made from its blood." He finished, setting the bullet down.

In his lap was the cat, who now had a star-shaped pattern progressing over its body.

"If you're hit, the virus will spread rapidly though your body."

"It must be a lot for her to handle..." Lenalee said, sympathizing with Moa. She couldn't imagine how she must be feeling.

The cat, now covered in the pentacles, was nothing more but ashes, much to Moa's surprise.

"I couldn't save you, I'm sorry." Allen apologized to the cat out of respect.

Moa bowed her head. "What happened to Mark?"

"Moa... Akuma wear the corpse of a human so they can blend into society. That isn't Mark. After being killed, his corpse was worn by the Akuma." He explained sadly.

"My brother was killed?" She said.

He grabbed her hand, luring her behind a pillar. "It's here."

A wall was busted through by the Akuma.

"Hey! Why are you here?!" The sound of the Captain's voice was heard. He ran towards the two.

"Inspector!" Allen said out of surprise.

"Uwah! What the hell is that?!" He said. "O-Open Fire!" He ordered his men, they did as told. The small bullets were easily deflected by the Akuma's hard shell.

"Guns won't work!"

"Idiots. They're going to get themselves killed." Kanda said.

"It's not their fault. They didn't know what an Akuma was." Allen reasoned

.

"Please run away!" Allen said.

It was too late. The Akuma already began shooting at the men, much to the traumatizing experience Moa was having.

"Stop..." She uttered.

Allen pulled her close in an protective embrace, although, mostly to keep her safe from the fumes.

The guns hit the floor with a crackling sound.

"Inspector..Everyone.." Their ashes were shown strewn across the floor.

Tears filled the corner of her eyes painfully. "YOU MONSTER!" She screamed out her frustrations to the Akuma. "Why did you kill them?! WHY?!"

"It's useless to ask." Allen said. "Moa, it's not like it wants to kill." He explained, "to evolve as a weapon, this is how it was programmed."

"I feel so sorry for her. So much has happened to her already." Miranda, tears gathering in her eyes.

"Me too. I wish she never had to deal with any of it." Krory said, brushing the tears out of his own eyes.

"That thing is just a murdering machine!" She pointed at it.

"No.. Akuma have a deceased's soul." The Akuma was shown. "It's a living weapon. That soul is controlled by 'The Maker'. Suffering from crimes...Despairing at their appearance...They truly hate reality."

A purplish glow was shown directly above the Akuma, now closer up. The image of the decaying woman was shown again. "The frustration of that soul is the energy source, it lets the Akuma evolve."

His activated eye was shown.

"In that Akuma too. Someone's soul is being used. That woman...Must have a strong bond with Mark." Allen said, causing Moa to grow more curious.

The image of a crying man was broadcast on the screen, "Akuma... Are made from tragedies and souls..." And evil moon in a red sky appeared above a graveyard, where the crying man mourned for his beloved.

"Everyone has darkness in their hearts. When darkness emerges from tragedy and depression..." The Millennium Earl appeared, his hand extending towards the man.

"The Maker appears, and an Akuma is born."

"Tragedy..." The scene flashed white.

A young, beautiful bride was shown on her wedding day, glancing towards Moa. Mark, a much healthier being, was soon to marry Moa's sister.

"Flashbacks can be shown?" Komui said questionably.

"Apparently so. But this isn't exactly the strangest thing that's happened, considering we are watching our lives." Bookman said.

"You're still fighting with Moa?" The groom asked.

"Because...I'm against her becoming a police officer."

"She wants to catch the criminal that killed father and mother..." She said, looking worried.

"Claire...Moa doesn't want to be a police officer just for revenge. It seems, she wants to protect us...So that we can always be happy. Believe in them...Moa's feelings...And also, God's protection. God will not betray those who believe in him." Mark comforted his fiancé.

It zoomed in on the chandelier, the rope loosening.

"She's dealt with so much loss. It's not fair." One of the finders spoke.

"You're right! I believe!" Claire said, wearing a hopeful smile.

The chandelier fell. Claire quickly realized, and managed to shove Mark out of the way.

Mark was traumatized.

"Brother..!" Moa said.

"CLAIRE!" He cried out, tears streaming down his cheeks. He fell to his knees in sorrow.

The Millennium Earl's feet landed on a checkerboard-patterned floor. He knelt down, in front of the sobbing groom.

"Hello, good evening." He greeted the briefing man.

"This is the body I have created." The screen showed the metal build of an Akuma.

His face appeared. "It takes a soul and revives it. You can take Claire back from that distasteful God."

None of the finders had actually seen an Akuma being built, but they never wanted to watch how they were made, anyways.

Mark's face grew full of hope.

"However, your cooperation is needed you see...Call out to Claire with your loving bond.

Only Allen, of all the people in that room, could understand just how cruel and unloving it truly was. They knew it was wrong! They knew they shouldn't play with the dead, but the grieving desperation that blinded them from the facts caused the words of the Millennium Earl to stick out more than the truth.

"Allen? Are you okay?" Lenalee said, just loud enough for him to hear. She must have noticed him spacing out. Her voice managed to call him from his thoughts, much to his thanks.

"Of course I am." He said, smiling assuringly for her.

She observed his expression for a moment, seeming to ponder whether it was real or not. She sighed, looking back at the screen

Mark was shown, "Claire's soul can really be called back?" He said.

The Millennium Earl nodded, before disappearing in specks.

Mark, without hesitation, walked up to the black skeleton mold. An overjoyed expression clear on his face.

"CLAIRE!" He called out.

A white orb surrounded by a lilac gas was planted into the being, a blue flame-like aura surrounding it.

A star appeared below the Akuma's forehead, where its eyes would have been if it had any. Below the star, 'Claire' was written.

In an agonizing voice, the Akuma spoke. "Mark!"

"Claire!" He said, now incredibly happy to hear the loving voice of his beloved again.

"What is this?!" She said, much to the horror of her fiancé. "How could you turn me into an Akuma?! I can't get out anymore!"

The Millennium Earl placed his hands on Mark's shoulders.

"You have become mine now." He paused, "This is an order. Please kill this man and wear his skin." A close up of his eyes was shown.

"It won't actually show this happening, will it?" One of the finders asked, now feeling rather ill, especially after seeing the poor woman's soul being rotten away by her own sins.

"I hope not." Another finder said.

The Akuma tugged away from the casing against its will. It shuddered at its inability to control the foreign body.

It raised both blade-like arms above Mark, then violently struck down, shrieking.

The screen went black, before coming back on again.

The Millennium Earl's crossed arms were shown, the shadow of the Akuma entering Mark's corpse was shown. A very graphic image.

Many finders and scientists were now looking away. Not a single person in the room was directly watching the screen.

"Happy birthday! It's complete!" He said, face now much closer.

"It's the first episode and it's already so gruesome..." Miranda said, earning the silent agreement of many others.

The screen faded into white.

A sorrowed-looking Allen appeared, with the surprised, hurt Moa.

She gasped. "It can't be...! This is-..This is Claire?!" She said.

The Akuma glanced back at her.

Moa fell to her knees.

A close up of Allen's hand was shown. He extending it outwards, removing the glove. The cross began to glow brightly.

"Holy cross that dwells within me. Now, with the power to destroy darkness." The cross grew brighter, extending to his shoulder. His back was shown.

His arm activated. He swung it to his side, showing off the weapon.

"Bring salvation to the soul of this pitiful Akuma!" He said.

The Akuma roared, setting up its defense.

Allen leaped forward, attacking the Akuma.

"Sorry. I'll bring comfort to you now. Be at peace, Mrs. Claire." His eye was shown, twinkling.

A close up of Moa's tear falling onto the ground was shown.

The soul that hovered above the Akuma screeched painfully. The chains that connected her to the Akuma snapped. The decaying woman's face dissipated, revealing the young beauty she was.

Her soul, now freed, spoke.

"Thank you."

Moa watched in amazement.

The screen darkened, now showing a moon.

"Nice one, Allen!" Lavi congratulated, patting Allen's back.

"Eh? What did I do?" Allen asked.

"You defeated an Akuma on your way to the Order. I'd say that's pretty awesome." Lavi said, causing Allen to laugh.

"Thanks."

"They'll reunite in Heaven, right?" Moa asked Allen. "Claire and Mark."

"That's right." He said, now leaning against a wall. "For sure."

"The Millennium Earl. That is what "The Maker" is called." An image of the Millennium Earl floating away using Lero was shown, his laughter heard in the background.

"Right now he is plotting the scenario for mankind's demise." Allen clutched the ribbon tied around the collar of his shirt. "To end all this is the Exorcists' duty." He explained.

Moa was shown, her head bowed into her knees.

Under Allen's jacket, now laying abandoned on the floor, was Timcanpy, wiggling out free.

"Speaking of Timcanpy, where is he?" Allen said, absent-minded.

"You don't have him?" Komui said.

"I don't know what I was doing before I got here." Allen admitted.

Cross gestured to his shoulder, where a golden golem lay atop. "I have him. Since my stupid apprentice can't take care of anything."

"You're still mad about that?" Allen muttered.

Cross glared as a reply.

"Let's go, Timcanpy." Allen nodded to Moa as a farewell. She smiled, and nodded back.

The screen darkened, and music began.

"It's over? What happens now?" Lenalee asked.

"We watch the end song of course!" Lavi said.

A tall building was shown.

"Me wo to jite"

Allen walked down a path. Lenalee monitored him while 65, Reever, and many others watched the screen.

"I wasn't at the door and you were already suspicious?" Allen said, dejected.

"We have to be suspicious. How do you think we manage to keep the Order in tact?" Reever said, grinning.

"Night growing.."

Kanda was shown practicing his fighting techniques.

Suddenly, he turned, his long hair whiplashing behind him.

The screen froze on Allen walking along the path.

"Kogoeru kuchibiru kande"

Allen was shown once again, head bowed. His eyes were hidden beneath a top hat, similar to the one his foster father wore.

"Is Allen the main character or something?" Lavi pouted.

"No, I'm not!" Allen replied.

"You're the only person that showed up that we know! Besides the opening and the ending." Lavi pointed out.

"That doesn't mean anything, we're still on the first episode." Allen said.

"Sure it doesn't." Lavi said.

Allen huffed out.

The Millennium Earl stood behind Allen, along with Marian Cross. All three wore top hats.

"Futari kata wo yoseau"

Komui, Lenalee, Kanda, and Allen appeared in front of a sunset.

"Kioku no soko ni kakushite"

"I'm not even a part of the group!" Lavi complained.

"Lavi, you haven't even joined the Order yet." Lenalee explained, sweat dropping.

"Oh yeah." He said.

Lavi, Lenalee, Allen, and Kanda were shown standing on top of a roof.

Lavi grinned to himself.

"Mizuumi no ue, aruita ano wonderful view. Snow kiss."

"Kono mama kimi to goodbye nante"

"Is no body going to question why we have our own opening and ending songs?" Tiedoll asked.

"Even if we did, we still wouldn't know why." Kanda answered grumpily. He sure as hell wasn't happy to be stuck in that room.

"Iwanaide. A waah...Aitai"

Behind Allen was shown, his arm transformed into its anti-Akuma form.

"Kimochi take torenai kizuato"

"Kesanaide... Kesanaide..."

The screen went black.

"That was interesting.. I say we should watch another!" Lavi determined.

"Yea!" Allen agreed

"We're just going to keep wathing these episodes? For how long? And how many are there? What about food, water, sleep? Also, what about our lives? Are things continuing on without us at the Black Order?" Krory rambled, fearful of what his answer would be.

A golden crested envelope appeared on the coffee table. Lavi reached for it, until Bookman slapped his hand away, taking it for himself.

With careful fingers, he unfolded it.

"For your questions, Mr. Krory, there is an answer. Each of you will continue to watch these episodes. There are many more to come, including ones from the future. As for all of your needs, multiple bedrooms have been set, each one with its own bathroom.
People will be doubling up on the bedrooms. There is one kitchen and one dining room. Your lives will not continue on without you. As for now, nothing has changed since the second you've come here. Signed M.E." Bookman finished the letter.

"Sweet! It's like a vacation without the cost!" Lavi cheered.

"Or like being held hostage without the danger, but even then, who knows what'll happen?" Allen said, leaning his head against the couch. He made it very clear he was not looking forward to the next couple of days they'd be staying here.

"Oh well. Let the show begin!" Lavi said.

A/N: I've been writing this since February and I never realized how difficult it is to keep up with an episode while trying to write what's happening. More time consuming than ever! Oh well. I'm actually having a bit of fun with these, even though it's a lot of writing.
Also, congratulations to myself for being an idiot and starting yet another fanfiction without finishing any of my others. Oh well.

*Certain characters will not be watching with he others. Although, they have their reasons. Some haven't come in yet, and for Marie, well...He's blind.

I hope you enjoyed!
