Under a Virtual Sky [Online]

A/N: To be honest, at this point I'm just trying to get through the beginning (which I already planned) so that I can get into the main plot. So I'm sorry if it seems to lack details or seems rushed :c ...Because it is.

I would also like to thank my much dedicated/supportive reviewers (along with all the followers, of course) so far that absolutely makes my day every time they leave a review. c: Such as Aliathe, Theta-McBride, 27tunafiamma72, Arciia, SmileRin, Sakurayukari, Mari Clair Roemajji Celts, kizuna tsukiyomi, cherryvampiress, and the guest accounts. :D

Announcement: IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED- Or already a fan of Fran x Alyss from last chapter (I know I already am) then you can read Aliathe's spin off, companion fic to this story. It's called Talk Virtual To Me. It's about all the times Fran and Alyss meets :) She writes really descriptively and I admire her writing skills a lot. c: It's already a wonderful story and if you have time, you should read it! It also shows the details of the beginning process of the game play and I think it's really interesting to read. Plus she studied my story really closely and asked me questions to get it right- and I think she really nailed it. :D

Anyways, so regarding that- I was going to post the UVSO guide sometime but I never had the chance to actually do it. Since Aliathe asked me some series of questions, I realized I might as well put it out there now so everyone will know. :) The guide will be at the end of the chapter as an omake, along with the omake in Hibari's POV. The only reason why I do that is because I like to keep the main POV as first person, Sakura's.

CHAPTER FIVE

"Can you. Please. Stop. That thing. From crying?!" I yelled out to no one particular. Just kidding, I am. I regarded the tanner, black haired male and the lighter skinned, light brown haired girl. "Please," I said with an underlying tone.

Previously mentioned girl narrowed her blue eyes. "Why don't you just stand further away?" I don't think I like her.

The guy poked the little thing on his shoulder that was starting to look more and more like a tooth to me. A pet? "Raddish!" Radish? I frowned. What part of that is a radish? Sure, I guess it was the color of a radish but it also had blue pants, a loop on its head, and some funky pink swirls on its cheeks. Not to mention the stubby arms, let's not forget that.

The thing sniffled and looked up at him. "Whaaat?" It asked in a childish, 'cutesy' tone.

"You're bothering other people!" He answered in a seemingly kiddish voice and I'm about to lose it. His quiet and serious image totally shattered in one second.

"Raddish cry!" It stated in third person before throwing itself face down, flat onto his shoulder...crying.

"For god's sake, Radish. Shut up," and now suddenly I'm one of the crazy people who is talking to a strange toothlike thing.

"RADDISH MEGA CRY. RADDISH NAME NOT RADISH IT RAD-DISH." And the thing wailed. WAILED. Holy hell.

"Raddish, mommy won't give you jello if you won't stop crying," the girl bribed. Mommy? Jello?

"Jello?" It perked up, jumping back up. Suddenly all smiles. Oh my god I've had enough of this. I'm so done, especially when the girl gave it an orange jello and the little thing gobbled it down in a second despite it being half the dessert's size. "Mmmm… Raddish wan more!" It demanded as it wiggled. Wiggled.

And I walked further ahead, faster. Much faster.

It was finally time for the raid into the tower. We were about one map away.. So close yet somehow, so far away. I glanced at the bottom left hand corner of my screen where the names and the HPs of my party members were shown. Jazmin, Alyss, Seirina, and Cannon.

Seirina is a girl that was sitting by herself at the raid meeting. And since we needed more people in our party, I invited her. She had a black buzzcut on the back and sides while the top of her hair is parted to the left falling over her hair in silverish white strands. Seirina was dressed in a black open shouldered top with a white rose design, black baggy pants, silver guard combat boots, black finger-less gloves, and a silver studded belt with a skull as the buckle. She appeared to be.. pretty intimidating.

Cannon was Jazmin's friend which I never met before but had seen a few times. He was usually with Jazmin until it was our time to meet up. It wasn't my business so I never really asked her. But she did seem a lot happier lately. And now that I see them walking together, they seemed to be pretty close. Plus, the unique thing about Cannon is that.. he fought with chopsticks. But… I didn't question it.

I sighed once I reached Alyss, at least she seemed slightly more… normal. "So, how does it look?" I asked her, staring ahead at the dirt path we were on, surrounded by grassy plains with a few trees here and there. Nothing too significant.

She didn't even look at me when I caught up beside her but instead she pulled down the black scarf that covered her mouth, simply shaking her head. "I can't tell. At least nothing yet. But," she bit her thumb and I could understand as I looked up at the light blue sky. There was nothing the sky could tell me but… It was a feeling I got when I glanced at it. An uneasy one.

"Something seems to be brewing, huh?" I asked and she nodded. I glimpsed at her dark almond eyes and I could tell she was bothered by it too, one of the only emotions I've ever seen in them. Not like I've seen her often- I just met her today too. "Perhaps we should've stayed back in town," I muttered. Something told me that this was a bad idea. But how else are we going to clear the tower?

Apparently from the help manual I read that was updated this morning, the towers each had their own unique gameplay. I wonder what Byakuran means by that. Also, it mentioned many levels of 'dungeons' before the boss room, at the top of the tower.

"You can hide in the darkness but not from it," Alyss mumbled. Huh, interesting.

I turned my attention over to Seirina and I knew she was in reach to hear of our conversation. "Sei-chan, come join us."

"Sei-chan?" she repeated questioningly- and I too wondered where that came from. The taller teen stared at me wordlessly for a moment before slowly shifting closer as we walked. "What is it?" She asked, arms folded in front of her chest.

"Nothing in particular," I shook my head. "Just didn't want you walking alone," I smiled.

"Such unnecessary thinking. I don't need anything like that," she grumbled.

"Hah..." My smile probably turned awkward because I wasn't sure how to reply to something like that. Though I don't know why it is that I don't believe anyone truly, really wants to be alone.

...

The next few minutes was a dreadful silence. Seirina and Alyss, they both don't speak much. And for some reason… I had a feeling they were complete opposites deep down.

I sighed for no reason in particular. I was walking until I bumped into something. Or, Alyss' hand.

"What is it?" I asked worriedly. Her arm was extended and it blocked me, holding me to a stop. Everyone behind us seemed to come to a halt and started mumbling with questions. "Alyss-"

"Shh," she hissed, narrowing her eyes to the space ahead. I tried searching for whatever she seemed to notice but I found none. Instead, she took a step forward and her lips curved into a wide smirk. "Whoever or how many of you are hiding behind the trees, come out now or we'll come to you." What?

A few muttered insignificant things behind us but nothing else seemed to happen. Not until there was a ripple in the space in front of us. I heard a few gasps along with my own when there were more and more ripples till people appeared out of thin air.

"The mist concealment technique?!"

"Seirina," Alyss called out without a change in tone and the mentioned teen nodded in some acknowledgement with a 'tcht' that was slowly seeping in. This can't be good.

I turned around and watched in horror as everyone equipped their weapons. I whipped my head over to Jazmin, who was still by Cannon's side. They caught my gaze as my eyes tried to portray the need for help.

"You guys, we should calm down and see what they need first," Jazmin spoke up first.

Kizuna stepped up passed Alyss and frowned at the group of black cloaked people in front of us. "There's no need. These are the GM's little lackeys. Not to mention red players, PKers."

There were more gasps among the crowd. "Black Spell," they whispered. The mentioned players snicked, gripping their weapons tighter. Kizuna drew her twin katanas from her back slowly and many players behind her did the same.

"S-Stop!" I managed to call out, catching her and everyone's attention. Kizuna turned her a head a fraction, shifting her gaze onto me me. "Just because they're clearly up to no good… We shouldn't kill them. Would that make us the same as they are, player killers?" I questioned, the worry evident in my voice.

"That's right," the guy with the toothlike thing stepped up. He put out a hand as he explained, "Haven't the system recently established a prison? Vendicare? We can capture them instead-"

Screaming.

What the?

And shattering.

Snickering- that made my blood boil and my fingernails dig into my palm.

I, along with everyone else, turned around to watch the horror unfold.

And all hell broke loose.

When two guys and one girl completely shattered to pieces and disappeared.

Forever.

Screaming, yelling. There was too much noise.

Some of anger, some of devastation.

I just stood there, speechless.

Was it my fault? If I didn't-

"Sakura." A hand on my shoulder. I turned mechanically to the person beside me. "Let's go, Sakura," Jazmin smiled gently but it didn't reach her eyes. Of course not. "This is reality."

Reality.

I gripped my fans and took in a huge breath. This is reality.

"Okay," I whispered and she nodded, dashing forward.

When I turned back to Black Spell, I caught something behind them that they didn't realize. Seirina! She was still in the air as she held the red ignited scythe behind her head, with one swoop she came down and slashed one of the back ranks in half. Shattered.

She disappeared again and I turned quickly over to Alyss who seemed quite concentrated. It must be her mist flames and their earlier exchange suddenly made sense.

I had my own work to do.

I looked over at Jazmin who was in a fight with another man, adorned in heavy armor and a spiked club. Equipping my fans, I raised one of them in front of my mouth.

"Lift upon the forgotten ground, dance along the current like feathers in a of a swift Spring Wind."

The words swirled around me until they danced over to Jazmin and the rest of my party members, illuminating them in a light green glow.

Though I wasn't just going to be supporting this fight- Not anymore.

So when the next person jumped up behind Jazmin, I slid in and ignited my fans in a purple flame. The person swung their sword in but I blocked it with my left fan, arm bent. I pulled back my other hand and in an under motion, I jabbed the fan into the man's stomach.

...

My head felt like it was spinning. I stared at the yellow color of my HP, under fifty percent, while my mana was down to- zero. The last fight, the dagger that was one inch away from my face.

I panted, catching my breath as I glanced around the map. It was much more vacant than before… because we lost too many people.

I raised my hand to wipe of a bead of sweat the system bothered to implement for realism. I turned to my last minute savior, Cannon. Silky black short hair, dark eyes. "Thanks, Cannon," I managed to pull out a small smile.

"You're welcome," he returned a smile. "That was close." 'Close' until he jabbed his chopsticks into the back of the man's neck.

"No kidding. But…" I scanned the map. Five- No, more than five people died. And the sad part was, I wasn't even sure who.

"How many did we lose?" Jazmin mumbled.

I shook my head, frowning. "Around… seven."

"Seven people?!" she choked slightly.

"We have to go into the tower," I muttered. "We have to.." I shifted my attention over to the teen with black pony tail and mismatched eye colors.

"Okay, everyone. Those who can go on will continue and follow me into the tower. Those who feel emotionally affected should teleport back into town-" Kizuna announced until she was interrupted.

"EMOTIONALLY AFFECTED? WE JUST LOST- WE JUST LOST-!" The person gripped Kizuna on both sides of her arms, yelling and shouting at her through their sobs until they were silently choking. Their shoulders wracking as they cried.

She gave a small, understanding smile as she stood there, allowing them to release their emotions though it wasn't her fault in any way.

I, on the other hand, was glad I didn't lose my friends. But them… I turned around to the sight I wished I didn't have to witness. A girl was on the floor, crying into her hands. Another person, a guy, was on his fours, pounding his fists against the ground as if it could atone for anything.

But nothing we do would be able to change the loss of our comrades.

So we just have to keep walking on.

"Let's go," I said to my party that were standing somewhat close to each other. I turned, face forward to the tower ahead of us. We have to. We have to clear the game- for their sake. For everyone that we lost. For everyone that was still fighting.

And most of us did take that next step- until another obstacle rose.

Way too soon.

I barely turned fast enough to notice the ripples in the air surrounding us as more men stepped out in the same black uniform. I gasped-

A scythe was around my neck. I suddenly remembered the last remaining man before he was captured- he was busy doing something. He must've been calling his comrades. "They were getting reinforcements," I whispered to myself, shocked.

I stared into the crowd of shocked people. Jazmin, Cannon- everyone.

"Don't move or she dies. Give us all your items!" The man behind my demanded. What-

I heard loud mumbling among the crowd and I scanned their expressions. Displease, disbelief. Shock, horror, confusion.

If they don't have their items... Then they won't be able to clear the tower- and all their hard work will go to waste...

"Also, release all the members you caught," he pointed to group of black spell people snared by our elementalist. The ones that weren't killed, of course.

"D-Don't!" I yelled. "It's not worth it! Don't worry about me-"

"What are you saying, Sakura?!" Jazmin snapped, taking a step closer which made the man pull his scythe closer to my neck. Her eyes widened and she halted where she was.

Kizuna took a step forward with her hands innocently up. "We'll do as you say- just let her go first."

The other enemies behind me grumbled in evident discontent.

"No," the man declined. "Give us your items and release the members first. NOW!" He demanded as his scythe came closer to my neck, slowly slicing my HP lower.

It's okay. It's okay if I die here. As long as they..

Lower. Lower yellow. Red- I shut my eyes but I couldn't hide from my own HP bar.

"Sakura-" Jazmin's voice?

I'm sorry. You'll be fine without me-

"We'll give you the items-"

Lower. Lower. Lower- No!

I'm scared-!

"The target is a red player. The enforcement mode is set to non-lethal paralyzer. Please aim carefully and disable the target." A woman's voice?

What? I opened my eyes out of shock only to meet a blue electric blast hit the man behind me. He dropped his scythe to my feet and fell over, stunned with what I deemed to be paralysis.

I turned to my savior, arm extended with a high tech looking gun, black with glowing tealish blue lines. Speechless, stunned- but overall, relieved.

Very, very relieved. And I knew at this point that I, despite my words, was not meant to be a selfless matyr.

I was human, and I was very much afraid of-

death.

OMAKE

Hibari's POV.

- Hours ago. -

Hibari yawned as he strolled down the plain cream colored corridors, hand in his pocket in a casual manner. He should prepare to leave for the boss fight soon.

Though it irks him to have to work with people, he insisted that he could take on the thing by himself but Sawada Tsunayoshi, persistently annoying, demanded everyone else go too. At that point, Hibari started to reconsider even going at all. But he was curious. And was itching to fight something strong.

"Kyo-san." Hibari turned to meet his second in command, Kusakabe Tetsuya.

"What is it?"

"The squads are ready to go on your word."

"Then tell them to get going," Hibari frowned.

"Yessir," Kusakabe bowed before leaving back the direction he came from.

Sawada Tsunayoshi was also bugging Hibari about taking action on an unusual report that was collected just this morning. How troublesome.

But regardless, that was what half of the Foundation was for anyways. Part of it was for gathering information on the enemy. And the other part was to act on it.

The Foundation was a subgroup created under the Vongola guild, run by Hibari to do as he pleases. And he shall. Regardless of what people say.

His footsteps continued to clatter and echo down the hallway until he made it into his office. Hibari pulled down the menu and equipped on the newly gifted weapon. Made by the highly annoying herbivore, Giovanni, the Vongola technician.

It wasn't like Hibari needed it. But Giovanni had an annoying voice and annoying persistency that continuously urged him to use it for the Foundation. Hibari was about to bite that herbivore to death too- Until the infant came into the picture.

Then an offer to a duel was made if Hibari would test out the weapon and have his subgroup use it as well. So that was fine, he supposed.

{ ... }

The bothersome pink headed girl. He frowned. Though he wasn't doing this to save her. It was for two reasons, and two reasons only.

He had to test out the new weapon.

And he hated leaving debts unpaid.

So he raised the gun, aiming it at the head of the assaulter even though this was not his preferred way of dealing with this situation. He much rather bite them to death.

A female AI's voice from the gun could be heard once it analyzed the player. "The target is a red player. Enforcement mode is non-lethal paralyzer." The lines on the gun lit in a bright teal blue light, firing up. "Please aim carefully and disable the target."

The contacts in Hibari's eyes glowed a tealish blue as it enables the target indicator. As Hibari shifted the gun to meet the man's head, he pulled the trigger. A blue shot fired quickly, making its target on the man's forehead. The man groaned before dropping his scythe to the girl's feet as he, himself, fell over to the ground like a pathetic dog.

"Targets that are hit again after the non-lethal paralyzer will be transported to Vendicare's prison. Please use wisely." Upon locking on the paralyzed man, the gun transformed into a wider looking one as parts of it slid and flipped- the teal lines seemed to have spread. Is this even necessary, Hibari questioned.

Hibari stalked over to the man on the floor, hovering over him and looking down on him. The gun was still aiming for his forehead as Hibari pulled the trigger again without a second thought. The herbivore disappeared after a bright light with a small 'zap' noise. The gun better work like it should and that they were sent to the prison.

Though, it wasn't like Hibari cared. If the annoying GM were to let out more dogs, Hibari would have more fights. The rest of his Foundation squads caught up by this time so now it was their job. Instead of dealing with these troublesome jobs, he has a boss to fight.

He let his arm rest down as his side, looking up to meet an annoying set of bright blue eyes. Though she appeared stunned and speechless at first, she managed to curve her lips in an all too warm smile.

"Thank-"

Was all he heard before he turned around.

And walked away.

He paid back his debt, tested the gun. And that was all.

Hibari looked ahead up to the tower in the distance. Now he can finally have his fun.

A/N: So, how was that? I was watching Pyscho-Pass season 2 and I was like hey, what the hell. And so here it is: 'dominators' created by Giovanni for Hibari's Foundation. The new police force to act against Byakuran's black spell and all red players. Also Vendicare, the prison lead by Vindice AI's. :D

UNDER A VIRTUAL SKY ONLINE

Guide

Also known as UVSO.

Players must be twelve and older to play Under a Virtual Sky [Online].

Players must read and accept the 'Terms and Conditions' before playing.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

The system requests that players enter in their real information. It is confidentially hidden from the public and is only required for the players' safety purposes. Character names are simply the player's full names.

Character names are only identified once given a party invite, friend request, or given from the player themselves.

CHARACTER APPEARANCE

Character structures are determined by the player's appearance in reality (height, facial structures). However, colors can be changed (e.g. Hair color, eye color) and also hairstyles, hair length.

SENSORY

When hurt, only a slight feeling may be felt from the damage. However, it depends on the player's set pain tolerance. The system has a player's default setting at a pain tolerance of 95 in which a player may only feel a slight prick. The lowest a player's setting may go, for safety reasons, is a pain tolerance of 80.

Taste and smell is a unique aspect to UVSO's gameplay. They have been replicated through many trials though they are not perfect and are not strong.

Hearing is like most games, created through sound effects. A player's voice is recorded by the headset and is used in game. Players may hear from a distance or to a specific side much like in reality.

Weather aspects, such as warmth or coldness, can be felt within UVSO.

All these senses do not affect a player in reality. Players that eat within the game will not be full in reality or if a player is hurt, it will not affect their real life bodies.

SKILLS

There are default skills in the games that players can use or buy. However, there is also a Unique Custom Skill creation that allow players to create their own skills by accordance to their weapons. Players are required to act out their skills or combine similar skills to make their own, in order to avoid awkward or impossible skills. Experience points and a lot of gold are required to partake in skill creation.

There is more to UVSO than fighting skills. There are more practical skills such as cooking, fishing, ect. There are skills that enhance the chances of certain aspects such as weapon forging, alchemy, mining, ect. However, these skills are not raised by purchase of experience from monsters or gold but by experience of partaking in an activity with the skills.

STATS

Stats such as intelligence, dexterity, agility, strength can be raised by experience or from items that give the certain stats. Stats aid in combat. Stats have disregards for appearance.

CLASSES/JOBS/ROLES

UVSO has a few system default classes that are common to the game. However, more specific classes or unique ones may be determined by other players. There is no true characterization of a player's class and it is mostly determined by what role/ or what a player decides to partake in during their time in UVSO.

RANKING

Your rank is determined by a placement test you take (when you feel as if you're ready) but do be warned, there's no going back afterwards. Placement tests are categorized by what class you generally fall under (mage, support, fighter, assassin, thief, marksman, ect). After being ranked, if the player feel as if they are ready to be promoted to the next level, there are also promotion tests.

Ranks goes from this order, from weakest to strongest: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Titanium, Challenger. Players that are ranked have a badge on their general character information when they choose to show it to others or when they send a friend request.

Though, know that ranks don't determine everything or a player's true strength and tests are fully accurate in placement. There's more to a player than titles and scores.

EXPERIENCE

UVSO does not go by levels. Experience gained from killing monsters are simply points meant to unlock and purchase the next set of skills. Experience may also be gained from quests. The number of experience varies from the difficulty of the monster or quest.

MONSTERS

Monsters are killable and reside outside maps or in dungeons. Monsters are generally killed for experience, items, or requested upon a given quest. Monsters vary in difficulty and thus, their drops and experience given vary as dependingly.

Monsters respawn at different times according to the field they are in. Some monsters, limited time ones, are only there for events. Some monsters, quest specialties, do not respawn.

Higher level monsters are 'bosses'. They are the most difficult to defeat upon their category of monsters and field, therefore their rewards are higher in number and better in quality. If killed by a party or raid, boss drops are given and distributed randomly. A recommended social aspect is to let players keep what they had received randomly.

Regular field or dungeon bosses respawn. Certain ones do not. UPDATE: Tower bosses will not respawn and can only be killed once.

DEATH

When a player's HP is reduced to 0, players are transported to the nearest town. When dying, the only thing that is lost is time (the time it took to get there or spent trying to achieve hypothetical goal).

UPDATE: Players who die will not respawn and will die in reality.

ITEMS

Items range from equips, to utilization, to others. Items can be purchased or received as a drop from monsters, bosses, or quests. Items can be traded, gifted, created, or looted. Certain items can be enhanced, 'unique' items (labeled as so) cannot be enhanced. Items have their own rarity and endurance. Items can break. Items may expire and disappear if they have a time limit.

Items that are created will have the name of the creator attached to it.

Items that are gifted will be sent to the player with the sender's name and the option to accept or decline the gift. Items that requested to be traded will also have the same option.

Items can be looted if the players are not aware. However, penalty for being caught looting will be judged with social cue and not the system.

Home items, items that are meant to make a players' home more realistic are lingering items that do not specifically belong to a player.

FLAME / ATTRIBUTE

Flame attributes are the following: Sky, Sun, Storm, Rain, Lightning, Cloud, and Mist. Flame attributes are recommended to a player upon character creation depending on personality traits analyzed through the UVSO helmet. Players have the option to accept the attributes (recommended) or to pick a new one.

Sky flames, however, are rare and cannot be chosen. Sky users have generally a high skill or potential in leadership and have the ability to unite other players in harmony. Keep in mind that leadership and uniting people can mean different things to different people. Players with a sky attribute are the only ones who can create large guilds.

A player can choose or inherit more than one flame but only up to two. Players with two flames tend to have an uneven distribution to them and is sometimes more at an disadvantage in the fact that they cannot truly master one. But players with two flames may find the utilization more helpful for different areas.

Flame attributes are used to battles and other aspects to UVSO. They are an important feature to the game.

RINGS

Rings are essential to the UVSO's gameplay. Though not mandatory, it is highly recommended that every player keeps a ring on them at all times. Flames are ignited upon rings and are essential when fighting, defending, or using special skills.

Rings are given to every player in the beginning of the game. Rings vary in rarity, endurance, and strength. Rings have grades from A-F, strongest to lowest. Rings may shatter from flames that are too strong for them to handle if they are weak in endurance.

Rings may be crafted like weapons and everything else.

Rings may be specialized to guilds depending on tournaments or events.

GUILDS

Small guilds can be created by anyone but are only allowed up to twenty members.

Large guilds (infinite in size) can be created and inherited by people who have the 'sky' flame. Sky flames are rare and determine through people who are fit to lead and are able to unite others.

Subgroups can be created among guilds, lead by second in command guardian(s).

Guild houses can be purchase by the guild leader only. Guild funds may be collected through guild members' deposits or through guild quests and tournaments.

PLAYER VS PLAYER SYSTEM

UVSO does not fully encourage outside PVP matches but are an option. Players may be killed by other players outside of town though losing nothing but time. Players' HP will not go down in towns, which are protected by safe zones that are sometimes labeled in certain areas of a dungeon/map. Players may accept duel requests inside a town but death will not result from losing all your HP in said duel.

Player vs Player tournaments are often held to determine the strongest players or guilds. PVP tournaments are held by the GM and has a prize pool depending on the importance of the tournament.

PLAYER COLORS

Players have a small diamond hovering over their head. Players by default are green. Players who committed a violent act intentionally, determined by brain sensors from UVSO helmetes, are colored in yellow and will disappear in roughly 48 hours. Players who committed a violent act with negative intetion, determined by brain sensors from the UVSO helmets, are colored in red and will change to yellow in around a week's time and will remain yellow. Yellow and red diamonds will remained colored that way and the time will reset every time the act is committed. Repetition of the acts may result in possible increase in time.

MARRIAGE SYSTEM

UVSO does contain a marriage system in which two players of any gender combinations may partake in. Marriages can either be quick and simple or ceremonious with guests. Marriage ceremonies are determined by the area or the options the players pick.

Once married, the pair of players are to share the same storage. The system admins will not be responsible for any scams or possible negative outcomes to this feature.

Married couples are given an identical ring with each other's full names engraved in it. Players may have the option to wear their ring. However, when players are in a certain vicinity to another, in the same party, and have their rings equipped, they will get a bonus in drop chances and an slight increase in damage.

Married couples are also allowed to go on married-only quests.

Married couples can both share/own a player home.

PLAYER HOMES

Player homes may be purchased where they are on sale. Player homes may only be created by a vacant lot meant for that purpose.

Player homes are almost always in a safe zone unless they are outside a town/city. The only 'player homes' that aren't in a town/city are ones that are too large to stand in one.

Large guild headquarters are 'player homes' that are generally too large for a town/city.

If a player home is outside of a safe zone, it is to the concerned party's discretion of their own safety.

TOWNS / CITIES

Towns and cities are all considered 'safe zones' for players in which the players HP will not go down. Also, no monsters or dungeons exist in safe zones.

Towns/cities contain many NPCs that either give quests, act as helpers, or run shops.

Towns/cities also allow players to open up their own shops and trades. Players may rest in an inn, eat at restaurants, or enjoy many of the other features of a regular town/city.

NPCs

Non playable characters can give you quests or function as a helper to some of the gameplay aspects. Non playable characters, if not in a safe zone, may be killed but will respawn anyways. If NPCs are touched, players will receive a harassment warning.

NPCs can be identified because they do not have a diamond hovering over their head like players do.

QUESTS

Quests are given by NPCs upon by speaking to one or sometimes from a random activation due to a story sequence in a map. Quests vary depending on the story and event. Some quests are limited time events. Some quests are time limited. Quest rewards vary depending, mostly determined by the difficulty. Some quests have requirements (guild, marriage, solo, party, ect).

PARTIES / RAIDS

Parties can be formed by six (up to ten is possible but after the sixth, gold is taken for extra additions) players with one person being a party leader. Party leaders are responsible for inviting other members and for entering dungeons. Party leaders have the ability to disband the party or to kick members.

Raids are an organized group of parties. Raids are lead by the party leaders from each party. Raids are a social aspect of UVSO but not an official implement.

TOWERS

UPDATE: A new feature to UVSO are 'Towers', equipped with many levels of 'dungeons' and one boss at the uttermost top level. Towers are unique to their own in which each tower has their own different rules and 'gameplay'. Towers, differing from dungeons, may be challenged by more than one party at a time, in other words known as 'raids'. Towers are a feature meant to act as a clue giver to UVSO's new implemented rule.

Towers are cleared once a player finishes off the boss. Boss drops from towers are distributed randomly to participating players.

Boss rooms are escapable unless otherwise stated outside.

BOX WEAPONS

UPDATE: A new implement to UVSO, unlocked by the Senbon Tower. Box weapons are what they sound like. They are 'weapons', taking on the form of animals. The weapons are released when a player ignites a flame on any ring and jams it into the hole of the box.

Players that participated in the boss fight are automatically given a 'mystery' box weapon that is determined by flame attribute and rank. Box weapons have their own flame attribute and may only be used by players of that attribute. Some box weapons do not have an attribute. 'Sky' attributed players may use any boxes, however they are not able to pull out the full potential of it.

Players may trade or gift box weapons and if lucky, can obtain more than one.

VENDICARE

UPDATE: A new implement of UVSO. A prison run by AIs for red players. The AIs will determine the sentence and players are held there until their time is up.
