That was the third car that month.

Her parents were going to kill her.

No, scratch that. Killing her would be a blessing compared to what they could do to her. Flames danced through the air, radiating off of the crumpled metal that use to be the family's car. Thankfully, she hadn't been in it.

"Jingles." Tink said under breath. Periwinkle, her twin sister, stood beside her with her hands clasped together and covering her mouth. Her pale blue eyes darted between the car and Tinkerbell.

"They're going to be soooo mad..." Peri said. Tink sighed in exasperation.

"I know Perwinkle."

The girls stood in silence.

"Girls! What happened?" Milori asked, who came riding on his white mare, Archimedes. Tink and Peri both looked down at the ground guiltily. Milori turned his head and saw the car. Milori's eyes widened for an instant before they narrowed and he pressed his lips together tightly.

"What happened?" Milori asked in a quiet and carefully controlled tone. Periwinkle and Tinkerbell shifted nervously on their feet. They could tell their father was trying not to get angry.

"I was trying out the rockets I made." Tinkerbell replied, trying to fake a grin. It was immediately wiped off her face when she saw the look her father was giving her.

"Did you have to try it out on our nice car?" Milori asked, taking a shaky breath. "Couldn't you have put it on a golf cart?"

"Heh heh! You know, that's actually a good idea! I'll keep it in mind for... next... time..." Tinkerbell said, shrinking back as her father's glare intensified. The girls waited for their father to say something. After several moments had passed, Milori finally peeled his eyes away from the burning car and sighed.

"Go inside girls. We'll discuss this later." Milori said firmly.

"Yes, daddy," They said in unison. Tinkerbell and Periwinkle ran off towards the castle. Their backyard was huge(several acres long) so it took them a good fifteen minutes of running to finally get back. By then they were out of breath. They walked into the kitchen breathing heavily. One of the attendants looked at them.

"Would you like me to get you some water?" She asked.

"Yes please!"

The servant left and the girls collapsed on top of the stools at the kitchen's island. In a few moments, the servant has come back with glasses of water and towels tucked under her arms. She gave the girls their drinks and handed each of them a towel.

"Thanks Dulcie." Tinkerbell said with a kind smile. Dulcie grinned back.

"No worries." Dulcie said. She then went back to checking the kitchen's supplies to make sure there were the necessary ingredients for dinner. Tinkerbell and Periwinkle drank their water silently, lamenting on what had just happened.

"You know, mom is going to be even more upset." Periwinkle finally said. Tinkerbell's shoulders sagged. She knew her sister was right. Tinkerbell couldn't stand the idea of seeing her mother disappointed.

Suddenly, a boy slipped out of the kitchen pantry with Twinkie in his mouth and a bag of chips in each of his hands. His white hair was swished to the side and his icy blue eyes darted around, scanning the area. He had on brown pants and a blue hoodie. Tinkerbell put her hands on her hips.

"And what do you think you are up to, Jack?" Tinkerbell asked her older brother. He smiled mischievously and took the Twinkie out of his mouth.

"Just grabbing a little snack. No harm done." Jack said with an indifferent shrug. Periwinkle's eyebrows narrowed.

"You know how our parents feel about you eating so many snacks." Periwinkle said. "They don't like you eating outside of family meals."

"Come on sis! It's not going to kill me." Jack said with a smirk. "Besides, it's better than crashing the car."

Tinkerbell and Periwinkle winced.

"You know?" Tinkerbell asked, feeling her heart sink. If he already knew, who else knew about it?

"Yeah, I had a front row seat from my window upstairs in my bedroom." Jack said. "Nice driving by the way, Periwinkle."

"That's enough."

Milori sat on his white horse outside of the open kitchen door. He carefully leaped off his horse and landed on the ground. He limped over to his children. Years ago, he had been damaged in an accident that Clarion refused to talk about. But, ever since then, Milori's leg had been permanently damaged.

"Don't tease your sisters. They are in big trouble." Milori said and Jack hung his head in shame. Milori snatched the snacks out of the younger boy's hands. "And what did I tell you about eating snacks? It's a waste of money."

"Not like we don't have plenty." Jack grumbled.

"Jack, you know why we can't waste money on trivial things. It'll make us look bad to the rest of our kingdom." Milori said. "Now, I want you to continue with your studies."

"But... they're no fun." Jack said.

"Not everything is about having fun. Now, get to work." Milori said sternly. Jack sighed and walked off. Milori looked at his girls who were sitting in silence.

"As soon as your mom gets home we'll have a talk about what you did." Lord Milori said.

"Talk about what?"

Fawn, Tinkerbell and Periwinkle's friend, walked in and grabbed an apple out of the fruit bowl on the island and took a large chunk out of it. It took all of Tinkerbell's self control to keep from facepalming, banging her head against the island then yelling at Fawn. Fawn couldn't have picked a worse time to arrive.

"Fawn... what a surprise." Tink said glancing at her sister who was shifting in her seat. Fawn smiled, completely oblivious to the situation.

"I know right?! I thought it's be fun to surprise you girls." Fawn said. Milori coughed in his throat causing Fawn to look up at him. "Oh, hey Mr. Frost. What's up?"

"Nothing, I was just talking to my girls." Milori replied.

"Cool!" Fawn said, taking another bite out of the apple. "Can I borrow them?"

Milori looked at the girls who grinned. Milori's resolve diminished.

"Very well. I'll talk to them later." Milori said, walking out of the room. Tinkerbell and Periwinkle relaxed their shoulders.

"I can't believe he actually left." Tinkerbell said.

"Yeah, but you know we're going to get it later." Periwinkle said. Fawn leaned against the island.

"Get what?" Fawn asked, glancing between the twin girls.

"Oh, we got in trouble for crashing the car… again." Tinkerbell said. Fawn winced.

"Isn't that the third time this month? How'd you do it?" Fawn asked.

"I didn't do it. Periwinkle did!" Tinkerbell said, crossing her arms.

"What?!" Periwinkle said, her eyes widening.

"You heard me! You were controlling the car with the remote and caused it to crash into that boulder." Tinkerbell said. Periwinkle appeared affronted.

"I can't help it that there's a random giant rock in our backyard!" Periwinkle yelled in her defense. Tink snorted.

"You didn't see me running the car into any random rocks." Tinkerbell said. They both huffed and crossed their arms. Fawn didn't know what to say. Thankfully, she didn't have to say anything because Jack came running back into the kitchen. He was grinning widely.

"So, what's up Jack?" Fawn said when she noticed Tink and Peri weren't going to say anything.

"You know how I've been sneaking out of the house lately?" Jack asked rapidly, eagerness clearly in his voice.

"No… not really." Fawn replied. This didn't deter him.

"Well, I decided I'd bring you guys along! You can even invite Rosetta, Iridessa and Silvermist." Jack said. He smiled mischievously and loud whispered, "But you guys are going to have to keep it a secret."

Tinkerbell and Periwinkle were listening now.

"I'll keep quiet." Tinkerbell said. Then she glared at Periwinkle. "I don't know about her though."

"Of course I'll keep quiet." Periwinkle said.

"Great!" Jack exclaimed. Inside, he was starting to feel a little anxious. He hoped they would keep their promise or he'd be in a lot more trouble than Periwinkle and Tinkerbell.
