The sun was just beginning to set over the little house nestled on the edge of a forest in the English country side and it was a welcome sight to Remus as he walked up the stone paved path returning from his job as a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts, the white smoke clouds bellowing up from the chimney and the sound of the wireless radio drifting out the slightly open window were things he'd missed more than he'd thought he would.

He opened the door stepping inside expecting some form or welcome as he closed it behind him but there was none, the house was quite of his one year old son's normal chatter and of his wife's normal laughs as they entertained each other with their metamorphagus abilities. He walked into the living room looking around finding the house clean save the few of Teddy's toys in the middle of the floor and in the kitchen the radio was going but there was no sign of his family.

He fallowed the sound of the radio and found a note on the table under a neatly wrapped box, confused but slightly intrigued as he lifted the note reading it over.

'Remus, firstly Happy Birthday love secondly you have two choices facing you, you can open the wrapped box or you can fallow the path I have walked alone since you went back to the school after the holidays.'

Remus set the note down, he didn't need to think to understand what his wife had meant so with a small curious smile he went back to the living room and climbed the stairs leading up to their room. As he reached the landing the faint scent of lit candles and roses washed over him making him smile again as he fallowed it to the door to their bedroom. Once he opened the door the scent of roses became slightly stronger but not overpowering but what caught his whole attention was the sight of Dora sitting on the bed smiling her hair soft pink but these things were normal what was new was the fact she was wearing lacy red lingerie, the room was softly lit by cancels and on the night stand beside the bed were two glasses of what looked like wine.

As he stood taking in the sight of her she rolled her eyes but still smiled as she moved from the bed to his side standing on tip toe to kiss his cheek.

"Welcome home love."

Her breath ghosted over his skin making him give a slight shudder that made her smirk before her hands loosened his tie.

"Teddy is with mum for the night so we have the entire house to ourselves to do what ever we please to celebrate your birthday."

Unable to form a clear though let alone words he let himself be led back to the bed side where she pulled him down to her level by his tie and kissed him breaking through the haze in his mind. He smiled against her lips and placed his hands on her hips pulling her closer causing her to smile and pull him down with her on to the bed. He caught himself with one hand beside her head but didn't break the kiss she her fingers worked clumsily to remove his shirt after his tie was across the room somewhere. He broke the kiss chuckling softly before using the hand that wasn't bracing him to help her smiling at the haste of her actions before lowering himself to his elbows pressing his lips to her throat causing her to purr under him and her body to arch against his.

His lips trailed down her neck to her shoulder then moved to her collar bone just barely brushing the skin making moans spill from her lips mixed with whimpers as he teasingly moved his lips lower to her cleavage but moved back up.

"Sod it!"

He moved away from her neck to look into her eyes and found she was fumbling with the clasp of the lacy bra like top unable to unhook it. He felt himself smile and without a real though pulled it off of her ripping the hooks from the thin lace but he was pleasantly surprised to find she didn't seem to care as she pulled his lips back to her own her breathing quickening as his hand moved down her now bare chest kneading the breast for a moment before venturing lower and slipping between her legs making her gasp breaking the kiss to tilt her head back as her body arched.

"So wet already, naughty little minx."

Dora managed a smile but didn't say anything as his fingers massaged her through her panties. He smiled moving to sit up and lightly kissed her for a moment before pulling away enough to rest his forehead against hers looking into her eyes.

"Thank you love."

She smiled dark eyes twinkling as she settled back down her back to his chest as she reached into the night stand grabbing her wand and flicking it before setting it back down as he raised an eyebrow. A second later the wrapped box from the kitchen came into the room and landed in Dora's lap, she lifted it and handed it to him smirking.

"I know your dyeing to know what's inside so go on open it."

He chuckled kissing her head as he took the gift and began to open it while she settled back against his chest watching with little contained excitement. Slowly almost tantalizingly slow as he carefully tore off the wrapping paper, once it was finally off he opened the lid to revile a pair of little mint green baby socks making him raise an eye brow in confusion and look at her then back at the socks.

"I don't..."

He trailed off as she bit her lip in a failed attempt to not smile her eyes telling him he knows exactly what it means. Slowly it connected in his mind and his eyes widened as he looked at her now smiling face.

"You're pregnant?"

There was a smile on his face but it felt dulled in comparison to the grin that broke out over his lips as he set the box aside and wrapped his arms around her kissing her head, she laughed her arms wrapping around his neck as she sighed contently.

"Glad to see you're taking this better this time around...you're not going to leave again are you?"

She moved in his box enough she could into his eyes her filled with concern that made his smile fall and he sighed shaking his head.

"No I'm not going to leave you like that never in a million years would I do that again, that was a mistake and it's one I'll never make again the closest I'll come to leaving you is going back to the school."

Her whole body relaxed as she leaned in and kissed him with a small smile making him hold her closer and kiss back.

"Good because your daughter will need a daddy to teach her to dance and to read her stories about all sorts of things."

Remus looked into her stormy grey eyes raising an eyebrow at her.

"And what makes you think it's a girl this time?"

She giggled rolling her eyes moving to straddle his lap her forearms resting on his shoulders while his hands held her hips.

"Mother's intuition now shut up and kiss me."

Chuckling lightly he obeyed pressing his lips to hers as they sank back onto the bed body's pressed together as the night of the now risen half moon gave the room a soft glow as with a simple movement from Remus' hand the candles went out at once.
