Asaara was never a morning person. In fact, she hated getting up early. Since being dragged into the Inquisition, she had been forced up early on a regular basis but today she had nothing to do and was determined not to move until lunch. The sun shining brightly in her room was proving to be quite the obstacle to that goal. Getting better curtains had now become a priority.
After lying still with her eyes closed for several more moments, she realized that she was probably already too awake and conceded defeat. Slowly she stretched her long limbs to alleviate some of the stiffness and accidently smacked her still sleeping girlfriend.
"Ah," yelled Lace as she jerked awake. Turning to face her, Asaara began to apologize. "I am so so sorry. Are you okay? I am so sorry Lace." Looking up into the tear filled eyes of Asaara, Lace reassured her, "I am okay. You just startled me." "But I could have hurt you."
She knew Asaara felt self conscience about her size and the strength that was automatically part of the package. Leaning over she planted kisses on her forehead, cheeks, and eyes before meeting her lips. It was gentle and sweet, a kiss to reassure. "I wouldn't change a thing about you. You are perfect. I love you." The smile that graced Adaar's face was worth the jarring wake up.
