Chapter 2

"It looks like it the end again," he spoke, he lean forward, resting his forehead against hers. He pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her. As the tears fell down his face.

"I guess so," she cried, "I love you Tropaz,"

"I love you too Rose," he leaned down and kissed her gently, "See you in another life."

The looked deeply in each other's eyes, they could hear the war raging below them. They felt the heat engulfed them as the light swallowed their bodies.

"Rose…" A young man paused as he walked over the red clad women. He grabbed the women's arm, forcing the women to turn to him.

"I'm sorry sir," she spoke as he let her go, "I think you have me mistaken for someone else,"

"Giallo, oh see you spotted the famous Seraphina, the general of Vale's army," spoke the man beside her.

"Seraphina, this is Giallo, a rising knight. Who knows Giallo maybe under your wing in the near future," laughed the man.

"Nice… to meet you General Seraphina," he smiled holding his hand out.

"Nice need to meet you Giallo, may our paths meet again," she smiled, shaking his hand.

Pyrrah could see the heartbreak in his eyes as her former self walked away from him. It was their first encounter in that life and once again he remembered before her. Pyrrah continued to watch the scene unfold in front of her, as she felt the memories flood her mind.

"Carmine, Scarlet, Rose, Seraphina. All names that you have held in one life or another and now Pyrrah. Do you remember now? And what will you do when you final wake?" The voice came from deep inside her as she watched more memories of her past lives.

"Marry me Rose?" His was down on one knee, with a ring in his hand.

She leaped into his arms, kissing him deeply.

"Yes, Topaz, yes," she smiled. He placed the ring on her finger and gently kissed her back.

"You're spoiling her Giallo," she laughed as her husband made silly faces to a sleeping babe.

"I can't help it, she's so darn adorable," he cooed, "my little angel sleeping so quietly."

"Ya, can't believe she's finally asleep," she giggled as he wrapped his arms around her resting his on her shoulder as the watched the sleeping babe.

"It's our first child after…" her voice trembling, "after so many lifetimes."

"I know… and this time it will be different. We are finally reborn in a time with peace, and we survived the war." He kissed her gently, reassuring her worries.

"Ya, you're right," she smiled, "we can be a family."

"And a big one. I plan to be giving Adena lots of siblings." He said, raising his brows, "And let's get started while she's still asleep."

She giggled as her husband lifted her bridal style, taking her out of the nursery and into their own dorms.

"Seraphira please… please stay with me," he begged, holding her in his arms as the ground was painted red with blood.

"Is…is she safe," she coughed, blood choking every word she said. A crying babe's voice could be heard above them.

"Yes.. she's safe. Just stay with me please," his eyes filled with tears, "we are going to make it through this…"

"Take… care of her," she whispered, as she leaned forward kissing him gently, "I…love you Gial –" Her eyes closed and silence fell upon them.

"Seraphira…" he eyes widened, as the realization dawned upon him, "Nooooo!"

Darkness fell upon the memory, and Pyrrah knew it was time to exit and return back to reality. It was time to decide her fate once again.

"Pyrrah…" she heard a voice calling out to her.

"Jaune," she yawned, as she slowly opened her eyes. She realized she had slept in her own bed.

"No, he's out," spoke Nora, "He told me to pass on, when you woke up to go to the roof. But are you alright? Jaune left the room really upset. Did you guys fight?"

"I'll be back soon," she replied. Her resolve was driving her now, as she grabbed Milos and Akouo and left the room.

She felt the breeze hit her as she stepped upon the roof. She saw the young blonde man standing against the edge with his back turn against her.

"Pyrrah… you came," he spoke the setting sun outlined his figure and the light shone off his weapons.

"Now… come at me," he turned around his face completely emotionless, "I think it's time that we fought again." He pointed his sword at her and readied his stance.

"Yes," she replied and the first hit landed with no hesitation.

She could feel the change in their movements. This was nothing like the trainings that had together over the last four years.

She swung to her left, expecting to connect to his shield, but was caught off guard when she hit the air instead. "Damn, Giallo's light flash," she frowned.

She quickly pulled over her sword, just barley blocking his hit to her back. She turned and countered as he back flipped away from her, creating distance between them. She quickly bite her thumb and pressed it to her blade, as the blood dripped down. "Blood of a demon, as the blood drips down, may my blade roar in anger," she chanted. Her blade shone in red and her emerald eyes turned red. She felt the battles of the past engulf her. She could feel Rose's demonic speed, Seraphria's enteral flame, Carmine's strength, and Scarlet's blood lust.

She saw the smile on his face grow as she adjusted her stance. His blue eyes shone with a desire to kill, as he closed the distance between them. His first hit almost knocked her down, as the hit held more strength then Jaune could have produced before. Each blow growing quicker as the two unleased moves that nether had learned from the past.

"Got her," he through, as he tried to land a kick to her right. She smiled as she used her polarization to slightly shift his leg, causing him to fall out of stance.

She countered and was met once again with the air. This time she rushed forward, sensing where he would reappear. She flashed forward and she stopped her blade as it gently glazed his neck, but she felt the same pressure against hers.

"It looks like we are evenly matched once again," he spoke as they both let down their weapons.

"So all the times I saved your ass wasn't needed," she smiled sadly as the reality of their situation sunk in. She knew that from that moment on, nothing was going to be the same again.

"Well… it's too much strain on this body to move like I use to, I can tell you it's going to hurt a lot tomorrow," he explained, "Besides I wasn't born in war times, where children learn to wield a sword and kill in order to survive. I did have to cheat to get into Beacon after all."

"I suppose that's true,"

"Remember everything now?" he asked.

"Yes… how long have you remembered this time?"

"I started getting the dreams when you first awoken my aura back in our first year. But it was slow and sparse. And half the time I forgot them anyways. So I never really through much into it. But when we had our first dance and I held your hand… I felt something so familiar." He looked at his hand, remembering that night.

"Over the following two years the dreams came faster and faster and I there were so many times I wanted to talk to you about. But I was scared you would push me away. How do you tell someone that you dream of them, but it's not them? Then when you got attacked last year on our mission and was hospitalized that I finally remembered everything." His fist tighten at the memory of her unconscious body in his arms, as he begged with the gods to keep her alive.

"Then why did you push me away? Even without my memories I still fell in love with you," she cried, as she lower her head, her voice trembling as her body shook, "do you… no longer love me?"

He bite his lip as he saw the tears falling down her face. It broke his heart seeing her broken, and he knew that he was causing her pain.

"Of course I love you… Our souls are intertwined, born to only love each other, blessed with talent and skill far beyond their peers, but always each other's equals" he spoke, as he gently grasped her hands with his.

"But cursed to be forced apart by the same force," she whispered, her weeping slowed as she reflected the truth in their words "The reading of our fates nearly a 1000 years ago."

"I tried to distance myself for you, hoping that you wouldn't remember and be able to move on," his hands tighten, he lowered his head. He closed his eyes as he rested his forehead on hers. Emotions filled his body as tried to make her understand. "Every time we were forced apart it was together on the battlefield. But last time fate you away…. away from me and away from our little girl. I couldn't protect you last time and I couldn't risk it happening again…"

"Pyrrah…I" he began.

She placed a hand on his cheek and brought her lips on his, kissing him deeply. It was gentle, taking back the time that was lost between the two. His arms wrapped around her waist, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. The kiss broke away, and allowed a moment to still be in each other's embrace.

"Without you in my life, is the same as death. I know being with you will eventually lead to us being forced apart," she whispered, her forehead resting on his, just like many times before, "But for 800 years...we never through that we could have a child, a family, or even live long enough to see peace. But we did… we had a beautiful daughter and which shows we can our change fate. Please… let me hold this burden too…. Please…" She clutched onto his collar, and she felt him hold her tighter.

"Are you sure…" he sighed, he knew deep inside that he couldn't live without her.

"Yes," she replied, "Are you sure?"

"Yes… this time we will change fate. This time we will fight for our fate, and I won't let it take you away." He leaned forward and kissed her once again. They both knew that they were finally accepting their fates once again.

"Carmine, Scarlet, Rose, Seraphina, and now Pyrrah," he brought his hand to her face, "Will you once again be my wife?"

"Already? We haven't even graduated yet," she smiled, knowing that reason had little to sway her answer.

"I'm not letting another moment pass without you at my side," he replied. He smiled and planted a chaste kiss on her hand.

"Light, Auralent, Topraz, Giallo, my soulmate Jaune. Like many times before I will be at your side once again as your wife."

He let go of their embrace, and pulled out a necklace from his shirt. Two rings hung on the golden chain and her eyes widen. A ruby stone was placed the thick band ring and a topaz was placed in the thin band.

"You have rings…" she questioned, "Why…"

"Well… not exactly…" he said awkwardly, scratching his head, "I happen upon this rings after I remembered. They looked exactly the same as the ones before and it reminded me of us. So I put them together as place holder for my feelings. They were conforming to me, every time I wanted to tell you, I remembered the rings on my chest. I remember the pain of losing you and I– "

He was hushed by her, as she place her finger on his lips. She knew what he felt and knew the pain of pushing her away. She simply unbuckled the chain letting the rings fall into her hand, he grabbed the thin tropaz stone ring and she grasped the ruby one.

He grabbed her other hand gently slide the ring onto her finger, and the golden band shone as the yellow stone rested in the middle.

"It's the same stone as before, same as the first, and same as the last," he smiled.

She revealing the ring in her hand and she slide it on his finger, symbolizing the beginning of their unite in this life.

"I love you Jaune,"

"I love you Pyrrah,"

He grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers.

"Let's not waste another moment," he smiled, and leaned over giving her a caste kiss.

"I agree. No more dreams," she smiled, "it's time we make new memories."

"The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected. Maybe they always have been and will be. Maybe we've lived a thousand lives before this one and in each of them we've found each other. And maybe each time, we've been forced apart for the same reasons. That means that this goodbye is both a goodbye for the past ten thousand years and a prelude to what will come."
