Shinobi Pokemon Trainer

This is an idea I had. I always liked Naruto x Pokemon crossovers. So I had to try one out.

Disclaimer: I own neither Naruto nor Pokemon.

THERE IS A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE AT THE END OF THE CHAPTER. BE SURE TO READ IT. THAT WOULD BE OF GREAT HELP TO ME.

**** Okay so I made some changes to this chapter. Not much but meh :P Hope its better than the previous one.

Chapter 1:

Black…..

Black was all he could see. He remembered dying. Dying by old age. Waiting for afterlife. Was this afterlife? If it was, then it sucked. Would he be stuck here for all eternity? Floating around endlessly?

Man.. He was already getting bored.

"Tch.. This is soooo boring" One Naruto Uzumaki tsked in annoyance.

The war was long over. Peace reigned in the shinobi world. He had ruled over Konoha as the Seventh Hokage for twenty or so years. He had finally passed on the hat to Konohamaru Sarutobi who in turn, after leading for twenty years, had chosen Itachi Uzumaki, son of Sarada Uzumaki (who would've thought that Sarada and Boruto would marry each other eh?) and grandson of Sasuke Uchiha & Naruto Uzumaki to succeed him.

Soon after that, Naruto succumbed to old age and drew his last breath.

The next thing he knew, he was in this god forsaken black void. In his 10 year old body. With absolutely nothing to do.

Wait...

What about Kurama?

He quickly tried to contact the bijuu but for some reason, he couldn't. He could sense that Kurama was still inside him. The lazy fox had decided to die with his host.

"I just can't reach him. *sigh* Troublesome... Wow lools like Shikamaru really rubbed off on me. I'm even starting to sound like him." He drawled out.

"Hohoho! Naruto Uzumaki you are interesting as ever." Came a familiar voice.

"Eh? Hagoromo-Sama? What are you doing here? As a matter of fact, where is here in the first place? What is this boring place dattebayo?" Naruto asked in succession.

Hagoromo Otsutsuki, Sage of Six Paths floated there while smiling.

"Very well young one. I will enlighten you by answering your questions. Right now you are dead and at the same time, you're not."

"Eh?" Was Naruto's response.

"What I mean that right now you are in the place between life and death. Call it Limbo if you will."

"Uh huh. So why am I here?" Naruto asked the sage.

"Simply said you will be going to a whole new world. Where you can go to an adventure, without being in the constant fear of getting killed."

"Wha-what? Why? I dont get it. Why do I have to go there? When I can be in the afterlife with my precious people."

"Because they want you to go there. Look behind you child."

Naruto turned around and saw all the bijuu, except Kurama of course, and their hosts sitting on them. All of them were smiling at him. Even the bloodthirsty Shukaku.

Suddenly there was a brilliant flash of light from his side and when it subsided, Naruto saw his parents, his friends and his wife standing there with smiles on their faces.

"What the hell is happening?" Naruto was now very confused.

"We want you to go to that world dear. That's all" his wife, his sweet Hinata answered for him.

"Why?"

"Because we believe you should get a nice long vacation before you join us in the afterlife. Think of it as a present from us. And don't even think about saying no. It was the idea of your troublesome mother." Shikamaru explained to Naruto.

He had been Naruto's advisor when he was the Hokage. He knew that Naruto would object if he simply got sent to another world, away from them. He was stubborn like that.

And true to his thoughts, Naruto did protest.

But Naruto's mother, Kushina was leagues above him in terms of stubbornness. No matter what argument Naruto gave, every single one was shut down by Kushina's "A-mother's-present-for-her-baby-boy-that-he-should-quietly-accept-if-he-knew-what-was-good-for-him" reasoning.

After an hour of arguing, Naruto finally relented. He simply can't go against his mother's wishes even if he wanted to!

He bade them goodbye and watched as they faded away. After holding back his tears, he turned to the Sage who was patiently waiting.

"All right Hagoromo-Sama. I'll go to this new world, but what about Kurama?" he told the sage of his decision.

Hagoromo smiled."Kurama will of course join you. To keep you company. But he won't be the only one. Hehe."

Before Naruto could ask what he meant, he continued "Now then let me send you to this new world. The world of Pokemon! A world inhabited by creatures of various kinds and of various powers. A world where you will start an adventure of your own."

The sage raised his staff towards Naruto. A blue portal appeared before our hero.

"Farewell Ashura's reincarnation. We'll meet again in the afterlife."

Just as he finished, the portal suddenly sucked Naruto in and closed.

Seeing that his task was done, Hagoromo disappeared as well. Leaving the black void, Limbo, empty.

(With Naruto)

Naruto woke up to find himself sitting under a tree with his back against the trunk.

He looked around himself and saw that he was in a forest of some kind. He saw weird creatures all over the place.

Some appeared to look like red worms of some kind. Some appeared to be brown raccoons of sorts. Some even looked like grey wolf cubs. All around him were creatures he had never seen before.

Feeling a stare on him, he turned his head towards a tree few yards away.

He could see something was watching him while trying to hide behind the tree.

He couldn't sense any ill intent though.

Whatever it was, it seemed to be simply curious and a bit shy.

"Hey there. You can come out. I won't hurt you, I promise." He tried to comfort it in the nicest voice he could.

It seemed to have worked as someone did come out.

It was small creature. It had a white body. The top of its head looked like a lime green helmet of sorts with a red horn.

The creature slowly and cautiously moved towards him.

Seeing this Naruto smiled and slowly brought his hand forward to pat the small creature's head, careful to avoid the horn like thing on its head.

"Hi there! My name is Naruto Uzumaki. What is your name?" He asked nicely.

"R-ralts" The now known Ralts squeaked out.

Naruto nodded. "I see. Hey Ralts can you tell me where I am? I seem to have lost. Can you tell me where I can find some people?"

Little Ralts nodded. Looking determined to help out.

"Ralts ralts ralts. Ralts ralts ralts.! Ralts" she told him.

Naruto could only blink.

"Umm I'm sorry but I can't understand you."

Hearing this, little Ralts deflated. In her eagerness to help him she forgot that humans can't understand the language of pokemon. She then perked up.

"Ralts ralts" she patted her chest and moved north. She motioned him to follow her. Naruto understood that gesture. She will take him to the nearest human settlement. He grinned and followed her.

It only took them ten minutes to reach the forest's outskirts. In front of them was a very small village. Practically nothing compared to Konoha but it had a homey feel to it. He could sense no negative emotions from the village people so he deemed the place okay.

Since he had been Kurama's jinchuuriki for such a long time, he could sense negative emotions without the Chakra Cloak now. But of course his range wasn't all that.

'Heh this village seems pretty nice! What do you say Kurama?' Naruto asked his furry friend.

'Zzzzzz…Whatever…zzzzz…zzzz.' Naruto sighed. And as usual the lazy fox was sleeping.

He tried to send the Ralts back to the forest but it seems like she wanted to be around him, so he let her be. Right now they were standing before the village gates. He read the name of the village written on the gate.

"Littleroot Town eh? What a weird name... Oh well time to find some answers."

With that the Hokage turned 10 year old and his new companion Ralts marched in.

There it is. The end of chapter one. As you can see Naruto will start his journey in Hoenn region. Please review your thoughts on this chapter.
