Heyy, I'm backkk! I know, I know, 'again with the new story?!' psh, I didn't know what's wrong with me but I still wanted to do it.
If you're wondering when the other story will be updated, worry no more, it will come to you later in a few days, if I get the line working.
Okay, this chapter is about one of my fav chara, Furihata Kouki and this short story have a connection with my other short story which is
"My red, did you see it too?"
Did you read it too? hehe.
Enjoy, Knb obviously not mine.
All I wanted to find was my own lost self...Pretty poetic huh, but it was...Something was missing, something that created a large hole in me, feeling something ripped out, or it's just disappeared suddenly without a trace.
I don't know and I don't want to know what was it, that had gone missing...Because me, myself, knows deep inside, what was missing but...I just can't face the truth...
The missing piece was the truth that I don't want to face...
.
.
Cowardly...Shame on me, running away from everything...
.
Depressing...This is my life; my life is like this...
.
Tainted...My hands, always painted with blood and it can never be cleaned completely, haunting me...
...Mocking me...
.
...
`Let me go, please... Go away!'
I can't and I will never be'
What do you want from me!? I can't give you anything...Just...Let me go...'
That's precisely why I can't do that...You still have that resentment in your heart and I will never let you go'
`What exactly that I resent in the first place huh!? I have lost everything and I can never get it back no matter how I try and try, I can never get it back...Tell me, what is my resentment in the first place?'
`Your heart is telling the truth, you felt it, isn't it? Those burning pain in your heart that spreads through your body, your mind is cursing with such madness and cursing with words that you could find and the urge to seek REVENGE...This is what you are, Furihata Kouki...'
'No...I'm not, that's not...I'm...-'
`Face it, it's the truth...'
...
"People should either be caressed or crushed. If you do them minor damage they will get their revenge; but if you cripple them, there is nothing they can do..." a voice of a young man stated suddenly. Innocent and kind, there was it, his voice was.
SLASH
A prominent sound of flesh against the sharp blade echoed around an empty garden, splattering and tainting the already bloomed white flower with scarlet blood.
"AAARGHH!" a scream followed by another similar sound of flesh, ringing around the originally peaceful garden of flower with such intensity that even the moon refused to watch it and hides itself behind the dark cloud of the night.
.
.
Silence...
"Heart as dark as the night, blood tainted deeply with sin and hands full with crime that you have done before...Will you confess you sins, Kazama-san?" again, the young man voiced out his inquiry with such kindness and benevolent that it doesn't even match with his facade.
The cold wind of the night whispers slowly and at the same time pulling the dark blanket of clouds away from the brilliant moon.
The light immediately showered the young man fully, showing a brown hair that sway along the wind, small pair of brown eyes that filled with softness inside it and a kind smile on his lips that was smeared with blood of his victim earlier. His tainted white coat moved slightly as the wind blew a bit harsher than before, pulling the white and red petals away before it awkwardly dances around him.
"Please...don't...I confess...don't kill me..." the man, Kazama-san, pleaded with such earnest voice along with painful moan as he tried to ignore the pain that gathered around his severed right hand and left leg. He was crawling slowly, using his last strength to the young man feet and bowed his head although he was lying on the ground with such disgraceful manner.
"Of course Kazama-san, even though I didn't take your life directly, even so, you will die, slowly..."the young man brought his head down towards the pitiful man, bringing his right hand that was holding a bloodied silver knife towards the man face, slowly and carefully pointing it towards his nose.
The young man continued again, "Slowly, little by little, your soul will be pulled out, bit by bit as you remember back all your sins back then...and then, you will see it, one by one, all the people that you have hurt, that you have betray and kill. They will hold on your legs as you try to run away and dragged you towards one place that you belong, for eternity..." the injured man face scrunched up in fear and shock as his eyes followed the young man stature as he straighten up his back and pulled the sharp knife away from his face.
A smile suddenly adorned the young man face, "See you in hell, Kazama-san...Ah, please, don't forget me alright, I'm Furihata Kouki...We will see each other again..." again, with a kind voice he stated with a calm smile and turned his back as he walked away from the injured man that was watching his back with horror mixed with confusion.
"He is..."not another word after that, his face fell on the ground with a loud 'thud', blood seeping out from his severed hand and leg and he was left alone, unmoving to his death.
"The angel that fell from the stairway to heaven..."
...
Next day,
"Furihata, you looked tired. Are you okay?"
"I-I'm okay coach..." Furihata stammered lightly with the replies as he face his young coach, a girl with short brown hair and brutal personalities as he had been drilled hard in the training regime earlier, curtsey by his young coach.
"Mattaku Furihata, if you feel unwell just tell me beforehand, alright?"
"A-Ah, I will remember that..." silence ensued between them before the young coach voiced out her though suddenly.
"I noticed that you body seemed different these days? Are you getting extra training outside the school?" Furihata eyes widen slightly.
"AH! NO, no, I mean, yes...I did some training during my free time. Is it bad?"
She patted his arm lightly with a proud smile, "It's okay but don't overwork yourself like that idiot, okay?" she jutted her thumb behind her as she pointed towards the unsuspected red-head.
"Ah, O-okay coach..."
"One more thing..."she asked again with a sudden timing and it startled him for a moment.
"You looked very matured somehow Furihata, different from before, ah, it's a compliment alright?" she added with a smile before turning her back and heading towards the red-head before.
"BAKAGAMI!"
He chuckled lightly, watching his coach interaction with his other team mate, the red-head Kagami Taiga.
"Haha, matured huh...What happened to the scared Chihuahua?" he muttered slowly as he brought his face down and slowly turned his back. Bringing his head up, he smiled, the kind of smile before.
The kind smile that filled with innocent and benevolent nature, "My, my, a lot of problem occur every day, ne..." he whispered silently and heading towards the entrance, steadily with strange confident that it caught the interest of his other team mate that was sitting a bit far from him.
"Furihata seemed different, don't you think, ne Hyuuga?" The tallest member of Seirin asked with worried filled inside his eyes.
"You're thinking too much Kiyoshi, he looked normal to me..."
Kiyoshi heaved a long sigh as he watch the disappearing back of his kouhai.
"He seemed a bit far from us...As if he already stepped into the darkness..."
"D'AHO!Since when are you this poetic?! Shut your mouth or I shoved this towel inside your mouth!"
"Eeep! Just a small talk and he already into his clutch mode?!" Koganei stated loudly before inching away from the bickering duo.
On the bench just beside the bickering duo, a folded newspaper in black and white lay still, untouched. The front cover showed a body being wrapped with black plastic and a bold title on top,
"WANTED CRIMINAL FOUND DEAD IN A ROSE GARDEN"
...
"A smile doesn't always meant happy, as crying doesn't always meant sadness"
