Epilogue
"Ion and Pulse Scratch! If you're late to school again, I'm going to be furious!"
The voice of a certain DJ echoed out through the house, causing two small figures to fall out of their beds and topple to the floor. Two crops of bright blue and soft brown hair shot up from the floor, before both siblings looked at one another in fear.
The room lit up in an explosion of blue as the twins wove their way down the stairs and into the kitchen, grabbing their breakfasts and dashing out of the door in a flurry of magic and neon coloured lightning.
"Oh, you two…" sighed Vinyl Scratch, her crimson eyes softening at the sight of a note on the bench top.
We love you mommy! Say hi to Daddy for us!
Folding the note and slipping it into her wallet, Vinyl fell into a rhythm as she washed the dishes. Humming a random tune that had been bugging her far more than she would let on, simply going about her business.
The sudden sound of her mobile ringing, broke her from her daze and she checked the caller ID.
"Hey Octy, what's up?" said the unicorn with a yawn.
"Hello Vinyl, I was wondering if you and the twins were still on for dinner at the castle tonight" said the cellist; Octavia Melody.
"Yeah… will the boys be there?" asked Vinyl with hope in her voice.
Silence filled the line for a few moments.
"I don't know honestly, Add said they wouldn't be more than a few weeks this time but…" Octavia trailed off but Vinyl knew the meaning.
"Oh well, we'll talk to Celly and Luna about it tonight" said Vinyl with a sigh.
"Yeah, see you then"
"Catch ya"
Hanging up her phone, Vinyl let a tear roll down her cheek. She wasn't prone to worrying, but this was the longest that he had ever been away on a mission, she would have at least received a letter by now; she couldn't help but fear the worse.
Walking into the lounge, she saw herself in her wedding dress. He was standing right next to her, cloaked in a stunning black suit that set his piercing eyes apart perfectly. She saw Tavi in her wedding dress, Add kissing her deeply, dressed in grey as always.
Twisting the ring on her finger, Vinyl stared at the sapphire with soft eyes, unable to relax.
"Guess I'd better pick out outfits for the kids" she said with a reluctant sigh.
Later that Evening (Canterlot Palace)
"Aunt Tavi!" screamed Ion and Pulse together.
The twins crashed directly into their aunt with the force of a train, yet the cellist didn't budge an inch.
"Hello my dears, how have you been?" asked Tavi softly.
"Good!" said the oldest child Ion, his red and blue eyes sparkling brightly.
"Great, I made some pasta at school today!" exclaimed the youngest child Pulse, her matching blue eyes unable to stay still.
Tavi smiled before gesturing for her daughter to come forward.
"Adel, come say hello to your cousins" said Octavia with a sigh.
"Hey guys…" said Adel shyly, her grey hair covering most of her face save for one eye.
Ion and Pulse grabbed her hands and rushed off to explore the castle.
Making their way into the main dining hall, Octavia and Vinyl saw the four princesses standing together, talking lightly about something. Discord and Whooves were sitting off to the side, talking about their own business.
"Vinyl! Octavia! I'm so glad you could make it!" said Twilight with a smile as she hugged her two friends.
"Hey Twi, how are things?" asked Vinyl with a smile.
"Well, it's been pretty chaotic around here but we've been keeping things together" said the newest princess with a nervous laugh.
"Worry not, things have been running smoothly. Especially since we no longer have to leave the kingdom to deal with foreign affairs" said Celestia with a smile.
A cold silence washed through the room, Celestia mentally kicked herself for bringing up the topic; and it was only the sudden arrival of the children that finally broke the silence. Ion, Pulse, Adel, Flurry Heart and Amnesia burst in, laughing all the way.
The son of Discord and Celestia, Amnesia, was transformed into a multi headed dragon and was chasing the other kids around the room.
"Mommy! Mommy! Help me!" laughed Pulse as she jumped onto Vinyl's back.
"You can't escape a Lord of Chaos!" roared Amnesia.
Everyone turned to look at Discord, said man simply turned his head away and acted as if everything was totally normal.
The scene was finally broken as the doors to the main hall were suddenly flung open, two hooded figures stood in the door way, their faces masked from view. They moved into the hall, their footsteps making no noise against the solid marble floor. Drawing back their hoods, two crops of hair, one a soft grey and the other a dark brown, popped into view.
"Sorry we're late, moron number one lost his eyes and we had to take a detour" said Add with yawn.
"Yes, it seems that my regeneration isn't as reliable as it used to be" said Ryan, a circle of bandages wrapping around where his eyes should be.
"Daddy?" said Pulse and Ion simultaneously.
"My, you've both grown so much in only a few weeks" said Ryan with a smile, sensing his two children.
Twin bolts of lightning burst across the room, smashing into Ryan far harder than they had into their Aunty. Tears rushed down their face as they sobbed into their father's shoulders.
Adel wandered over at a slower pace toward Add, before finally looking at up him and wrapping her arms tightly around his legs. Smiling to himself, he gentle rubbed her head, letting her silent tears soak into his pants.
Having cried all their tears, the children of the two morons dragged their respective fathers over to Flurry Heart and Amnesia.
"Your majesty, good to see you again" said Ryan with a bow.
"Yes, good to see you also Godfather" said the princess with a smile and a hug.
"Lord of Utter Chaos, second demon of the eight gates; excellent to see you in good health" said Add with a straight face, bowing to Amnesia.
"Likewise, First Demon, my father seems to have lost his chaotic nature since marrying mother, if your stories are anything to go by" said Amnesia with a sad expression.
Discord choked on his glass of wine, looking as if he had been mortally wounded by his sons words. Add couldn't hold back his smile before his eyes fell onto his beautiful wife, blinking behind her in a flash of violet light, he pulled her into a deep kiss.
"Miss me?" he asked after a few moments.
"More than I'd like to admit" said Tavi with a smile.
"Enough to make second?" asked Add wickedly.
Tavi blushed deeply before burying her face into his shoulder.
"Hello Vinyl" said Ryan.
"Hello Ryan… how are you?" asked Vinyl with watery eyes.
"Fine more or less, how have things been?" asked Ryan with a curious tone.
Vinyl couldn't stand it anymore and raced out of the room, her husband in hand. Everyone was confused by the sight except for Add and Octavia; having known the two far longer than anyone else present in the room; the gave each other a sultry grin before their friends re-entered the room.
"Oh, they are so having another kid tonight" whispered Add.
"I think they might have just made one then" giggled Octy.
Ryan and Vinyl were both totally red in the face and looking more satisfied than anyone had previously seen them. If the twin bites marks on Ryan's neck were anything to go by, then Vinyl was more than happy to have her darling husband back.
The night flowed peacefully after that, as the group of friends ate a dinner worthy of royalty. With Ryan and Add exchanging their latest stories and adventures, whilst they tried to keep their magically enhanced children under some form of control.
Later that Evening (Royal Castle)
Crimson eyes met neon blue, a gentle sucking sound echoed through the room as Ryan stroked his wife's hair. Vinyl's habit for drinking blood hadn't diminished since her youth, but her love for her mate's blood was more intense than she remembered.
"Good thing I get back more blood than I lose" joked Ryan as Vinyl finally stopped drinking from his wrist.
Vinyl blushed before kissing her love.
"Why did you lie about your eyes?" asked Vinyl curiously.
"A result of my magic, glancing through time to protect Add puts a massive strain on my human eyes. Funny, isn't it? The power of a god being bought down by a human problem" sighed Ryan sadly.
"Ten years and still looking after that dork" laughed Vinyl.
"I'm still amazed Tavi let him make a kid with her" stated Ryan in surprise.
"Well I'm sure…"
Vinyl was cut off at the sound of their kids dashing down the halls. Looking up at her husband, she smiled and gave him a kiss on the nose before he raced off after them.
"Alright you monkey's, time for bed!" laughed Ryan as he picked up Ion, Pulse, Flurry, Adel and Amnesia.
They had decided to stay at the castle for the night and as such, all the kids were having a sleep over together.
"Oh, thank the sun, I was trying to chase them but their speed is just too much" groaned Add as he appeared next to his friend.
Tucking the kids into bed, Ryan and Add were about to walk out when Amnesia spoke up.
"Uncles! Can you tell us a bed time story before you go?"
Looking at one another, they smiled at the same time and turned back.
"Which story do you want to here? The fall of Sombra? The Coronation of Twilight?" asked Add.
"A new story!" they all said together.
"Hmm… well I think we've got at least one, wouldn't you say?" laughed Add.
"Of course, want to start it off?" asked Ryan.
"Once upon a time, there were two brave heroes. One was handsome beyond comprehension, the other a genius of the highest degree" began Add with a sheepish smile.
"Yes well… one day, these two heroes were thrust into a world of amazing magic and fantasy. The total opposite of their own home. It was there they learnt of their past, their power and their destiny" said Ryan with a wave of his hands.
"They trained under two wise masters, learning how to use their powers. Both fell in love as well, falling for the ones who had taken them in originally" explained Add as he made fake kissing noises.
"However, there was a dark force at work, one that tried their hardest to use the powers of the two heroes for their own gain" growled Ryan in an evil manner.
"Yet the two heroes fought together, joining their powers with their masters and the rulers of the land, they took down the darkness and restored peace to the land. However, they made many sacrifices and lost many people dear to them" sighed Add.
"But, the two heroes didn't give up! They worked to undo the damage caused by the darkness, and, using a bit of brain power, managed to gain back those they had loss" said Ryan with a smile on his face.
"Woah! No way! What was the story called Daddy?" asked Pulse with wide eyes.
Ryan and Add looked out the castle window, two lights flashed across the sky, one blue and one violet.
"Two Morons Versus Equestria of course"
