AN: I know I debated ended with you guys but I've sort of decided on one in particular that makes the most sense in my mind. Sorry.
Sighing heavily Allen walked into the house kicking off his shoes before making his way upstairs to his room. Allen sat on his bed going through his phone since Sheryl had mentioned someone named Devit but Allen couldn't recall who that was. Sure enough Allen had a contact saved in his phone labeled Devit. After some debate Allen decided to call the number. The call only rang three times before someone answered.
"Allen….?" A voice called but Allen really couldn't recognize it at all. So Allen stammered a little since he wasn't sure if the voice belonged to Devit or someone else. But they seemed to have Allen's number saved as him.
"H-hi…. Um… Are you Devit? I um…. This number is saved and you're really the only one I don't…remember…. B-but Sheryl said…. We w-were…. Together?" Allen was struggling to figure out what to say since it was so awkward right now.
"Oh….. Allen…. We were…. Before your accident… I mean technically we didn't really break up. But I understand if you want some time to yourself… or…. Decide you don't want to see me…Just focus on your recovery okay? And if you need anything or want to hang out… go ahead and call me any time or text." Devit responded softly though he was happy to hear Allen's voice. It had been too long since Devit had been able to talk to Allen. He missed Allen so much but he couldn't push Allen to see him if Allen wasn't ready.
"I…. okay…. Um…. Thank you…. I uh…. Have to go now…." Allen said before he quickly hung up the phone dropping it onto his bed. That hadn't really told Allen much… but there wasn't much Allen could do. He was so lost but at some point it had to make sense to him right? Why had this happened to him? Why had his life turned so upside down and confusing?
The next day when Cross was busy with work Allen left the house again. He went to Sheryl's house again since he had the feeling that the only person who could help him was Tyki. Of course Allen worried that Sheryl would chase him off again. Taking a deep breath Allen knocked on the door which was opened by a servant. The servant wanted to get Sheryl but Allen snuck past them trying to search the first floor since Allen knew Tyki was stuck on the first floor with his wheelchair.
"Tyki….? Can we talk?" Allen asked when he found Tyki in his wheelchair sitting in a bedroom that had been set up for Tyki after the accident. Startled by Allen's voice Tyki turned his chair around to face Allen who stood in the doorway.
"Borboleta…. You really shouldn't be here… It's breaking the restraining order even if it is you coming to me…." Tyki said softly as he resisted the urge to move closer to Allen. The poor albino, the love of Tyki's life, looked so lost and confused but Tyki couldn't help him. Tyki wasn't allowed around Allen anymore.
"But… I don't understand… I can't remember anything and it doesn't feel right…. Or fair…." Allen replied as he moved closer to Tyki.
"I loved you…. I gave you everything… But… Sheryl said that you…. Intentionally hit my car with yours…. I read the reports online… you strangled me…. When we tried to get divorced…? Why….? Why did these things happen?" Allen asked as he sort of knelt down some to be eye level with Tyki. Tyki looked at Allen before looking off to the side sighing heavily.
"Because I was an asshole…. I had the best wife anyone could ask for, who loved me unconditionally, and was always there for me… But you got sick… So to let you recover I left you alone, even well after you got better… During that time I started seeing someone… Lenalee… I didn't, don't, love her… I wanted to fix our relationship… but you were smart and wanted a divorce. You deserve someone much better than me." Tyki answered wanting to reach out and touch Allen but he knew it would not be right if he did.
"Allen…. Kiddo I told you, you can't be here…. I understand you are struggling…. But Tyki is going to get into trouble with you here….." Sheryl entered the room after the servant who had let Allen into the house had gotten Sheryl.
"But…. I need to talk to him…. My dad won't answer me and I don't know who else to talk to. I need to know what happened! There is no way that…. I would have wanted to leave Tyki…. But… if what he said is true…. Did I even try to forgive you….?" Allen asked looking from Sheryl to Tyki needing the answers from his ex husband.
"You wanted to…. But it didn't last long… we got into a fight and you decided you had enough of me…." Tyki explained as he moved his wheelchair away from Allen knowing his ex wife needed to leave.
"I…. Thank you…." Allen said softly as he walked up to Tyki gently kissing his cheek before he left the room and house all together. Rather than go home Allen roamed around for a while trying to think things through. Allen was still so confused but for some reason after talking to Tyki he felt a little better so he never went back to see Tyki after that.
"Thank you for meeting with me..." Allen said as he was joined at a coffee shop by Devit. He had called and asked Devit to meet him so they could talk face to face. After talking with Tyki and taking some time for himself trying to piece his memories back together Allen made some decisions that would affect a lot of people.
"Of course..." Devit replied having a feeling of how this was going to end given Allen's tone and body language. It was all different from back when he and Allen were considering dating each other. Of course that was completely understandable given everything that had happened.
"I'm sorry... Of what I remember... You're a really nice person... but I've made the choice that I will be leaving the country with my dad... And I want to cut off all ties with Tyki's family... So that... very sadly includes you... I know that I loved you and we never got a chance to really try but... It would be better for everyone involved if I no longer have anything to do with your family..." Allen felt terrible for basically leaving Devit because of his family but there was no way he could ever be comfortable again around that family given all the issues with Tyki and everything else. And he could never isolate Devit from his family simply to be with Allen, that wasn't fair to Devit. From Allen's perspective it was how could any sane person get involved with a family member of the man who cheated on him and tried to kill him twice. It just wasn't possible.
"I completely understand Allen... In truth I expected this when I learned what Tyki did... I want you to be happy so by all means get away from this fucked up family." Devit said as he stood up. Leaning over the table Devit placed a very feather light kiss on Allen's cheek before leaving Allen alone at the table. Allen sat at the table in silence for some time after Devit left before he left as well.
It was hard to move out of the country since most of Allen's friends were there but Allen needed a fresh start in life and there was no way to do that staying where he was. So Cross wanting to start a new company in a different country was the excuse Allen needed to flee the country. It took them two months to move to Ireland and find a nice place in the country side to live that wasn't too far from the city where Cross would be working. The land Allen and Cross lived on had two houses, the main house and the guest one off to the side which Allen claimed as his. It didn't bother Cross at all for Allen to live off in the guest house since it gave Allen a sense of independence but he was still close enough for Cross to watch over.
Allen spent his days painting landscapes and actually selling them as a way to make a living. It was very peaceful if not a little lonely but he felt safe so he was happy for the most part. Allen was perfectly fine with never falling in love again since he had felt he found and lost his soul mate so anything else was pointless. So he poured all his loved he couldn't give anyone into his artwork which was probably what made his work so popular.
About two years after moving Allen had learned from Sheryl that Tyki had killed himself only a few months after Allen had moved leaving an apology note and all his money to Allen but Allen refused both as he was sticking to his vow of cutting off all ties to that family including their money. Devit had found love again and had gotten married which Allen was happy for him, Jasdero was stuck paying child support for his son as Lenalee had left him for another man but somehow got the court to side with Lenalee over that. After that bit of news Allen never heard about that family again and he was fine with that.
