Hi! This is my first fic and my english is not perfect so... I apologize for that. This is just my version after the Cell Games and I dislike the Boo saga so I took it off. I'll put the budoukai in the future because I always wanted to see the fights. So, I hope you all enjoy it!

Disclaimer: I don't won Dragon Ball.

Chapter 1

A month has passed since Videl discovered Gohan's identity. He taught her how to fly and they were training with Goten every weekend, after all they had school to attend to. Gohan had to admit that she was pretty good for a human fighter at her age.

"So Videl, did your father taught you how to fight?" He asked her while the little break.

She looked at him and blinked, like she hadn't believed what he just said.

"Of course not! He's the strongest man on earth and does all his training in secret. All I know I learned alone. And you Gohan?" Videl looked at him with high hopes; maybe she could ask to learn from his teacher?

Gohan smiled a little.

"Well, my father and his friend I guess."

'I guess?' Who the hell don't know from who they learned how to fight? Videl let out a little laugh and it caught the boy's attention.

"What's so funny?" He asked while sat down on the grass in front of her. He looked up and make sure that Goten was doing fine before looking at her.

"It's just that it doesn't make sense. How can you don't know? Did you have a lot of teachers?" She was really curious.

Gohan considered what she just said and scratched his face with the index finger thinking.

"At first…" He stopped a little with a frown. "…It was an enemy? No he was already not that bad." He looked down, not letting the frown let go of his face. "Anyway, first was a friend that made me survive in the forest for a while when I was only four..." He let out a little laugh while the memories came to his mind. "And then my father. My mom used to fight too but she always wanted me to just study and it was a hard time for my father." Gohan then looked at her with a smile on his face.

Videl blinked.

"Wait, wait! What did you mean by and enemy? And survive alone for how long with only four years?!" She was stunned, she couldn't believe! If that was true then it explained why he was so strong!

"Well, my teacher was once a hard enemy of my father on the budoukai." 'It's not a lie, but let it like that.' Gohan thought before he started to talk again. "And I had to survive for a year. But in the end he started to train me." He finally finished and looked to the girl.

"So you really had a difficult childhood." Videl crossed her arms and closed her eyes in agreement with what she just said.

'You have no idea.' Gohan thought.

"And, where is your father? I'm being here for a month and I never saw him." She asked opening her eyes, but what she saw on the boy's face made her regret her curiosity.

Gohan's face had a dark shadow, as if something was troubling him. He bit his lower lip and after a few seconds he smiled as if nothing had changed.

"He's dead." Gohan smiled sadly at her. "For seven years. Cell…" He stopped. The memory and the guilty were too much.

Hearing the name Cell made Videl snaps out of her trance and changed the subject.

"I think it's time to finish this break." She got up and smiled at him. "Why don't Goten get tired?" As she finished talking she started to float in Goten's direction. Gohan looked at her and smiled.

"Thank you." He whispered and as he finished talking to himself she stopped her floating.

"Did you say something?"

"No, no! Let's train, train!" He then followed her in the air and then Goten joined them.

"Brother! Can we fight now? I'm used to fly already!" The little boy seemed excited with the idea.

"I don't think it is a good idea Goten." Videl said looking at him. "Gohan is pretty strong you know?"

Goten pouted. "I know! That's why! I wanna be strong like him so I can beat Trunks!"

Gohan then laughed hard. "He's older than you and that's why he always win, well that and he's Vegeta son." Seeing that the little one was getting mad he then continued. "Relax Goten, you're already stronger than me on your age. Don't worry; you'll be able to win soon."

Goten then spirited up. "Really?! Then you think I can win against Piccolo?"

'Piccolo? Where did I hear this name?' Videl thought and looked at Gohan and he sighed.

"You can already bet him, but don't let him know ok? He'll be mad at me."

"Hey, who's Piccolo?" She finally asked.

"He taught my brother how to fight!" Goten exclaimed happily. "He's very strong! When the saya…"

"Goten." The older brother stopped the little one to continue his talk. "It's time you go home. Tell mom we are going to dinner there today." He seemed angry, and Videl just knew that she don't want to know his side of him. Goten put his hands on his mouth to keep him from talking something that he clearly wasn't supposed to say, and nodded at his brother.

"I-I'll talk to mom. See you at dinner Videl." He then flew away.

Videl looked to Gohan and saw that he was still strange, the little anger was trespassing his face.

"G-Gohan?" Her voice seemed to wake him up and the usual nerd face comes back.

"Ah sorry! I said you were eating with us but I don't know if you want to…" He seemed nervous and as he cheeks blushed a little Videl started to laugh. 'This side of him… is just so cute.'

"Of course I want to Gohan! Your mom's cook is the best." She said smiling at him, with la little blush on her owns cheeks.

"Where are Gohan and Videl? He said they were coming to dinner." Chi Chi was already finished to organize the table with a lot of food and was getting angry.

"Mom." Goten said a little sad.

"What is it Goten?" Chi Chi sat beside him. "What's bothering you?" The little boy looked up to her and pouted.

"Brother was talking about dad today, and he seemed so… sad. It was like he doesn't want to talk about how dad died…" His mother grabbed his hand and smiled softly.

"If he talked about it then he was comfortable to do so, it's a difficult matter to him, especially to him. Did you ask him about that?"

Goten shocked his head, denying. "It was Videl. They were talking about how each other learned to fight and then she asked about dad…"

Chi Chi smiled. 'So he's opening up to her. It's a good thing; he doesn't talk about that even with me.'

"Let just give him time ok? I'm sure he'll be ok with that." Goten nodded and Chi Chi patted his head. "Go call them to eat right? The food will get cold." The little boy nodded and went to the door and flew to his brother.

"Goku, I think you should have gone back. The guilty is too much for our son." She spoke to herself and let a few tears fall down.

After a few minutes the three of them arrived and had the dinner. As usual Gohan and Goten were good eaters, and it always amazed Videl. How come they could eat like that and never get fat? Was it because of the martial arts? Yes, it must be.

"So Videl, how good are you at flying now?" Chi Chi asked as she put more rice to Gohan.

"I'm getting used to it I guess. But I want to fly faster as these two." She pointed at the two half sayans that where eating.

"I'm sure you'll with a lot of training. These two are abnormal."

"Mom!" Gohan said annoyed. "I'm not a freak."

"Me neither!" Goten protested.

"I didn't say that, but you two are abnormal, just like your father." Gohan frowned but in the end he had to admit that his mom was right.

"Ok, you got a point there. But we are just half-" He choked and after a few seconds talked again. "Half-freaks?"

Videl was getting used to Gohan's behavior of always hid things from her, but her curiosity wasn't that easy to go away. She did understood why he used a disguise to hide his strength but why does he have so much trouble in not letting her in?

"Yeah, half-freaks. Just eat right?" Chi Chi said looking at him whit a smile.

"But you're still a nerd." Videl joked and let out a playful smile, and it made Gohan smile too.

"Yeah sure, but it is her fault." He pointed at his mom.

"Of course! If you followed your dad you were going to be just a maniac-for-fights, and a delinquent! I couldn't let that happen!"

Gohan laughed at the memory of the time they went super-sayan and she preferred that he studied instead of saving the earth.

"Yeah, even Piccolo was afraid of you when he came here with dad and me!"

"Don't remember me! These two couldn't even get a driver license!"

Gohan laughed hard, that memory was the funniest. Noticing that Goten and Videl wasn't getting a hold at the conversation, he and Chi Chi started to tell every detail of their funniest moments and everyone enjoyed the rest of the meal.

In the Monday Gohan was flying to school as always and then he sensed Videl's ki rising at some point of the city. 'A crime in the morning? They just don't get tired huh?' Then he speed up and got to the crime scene. Landing he saw Videl talking to the police, and when she noticed him she smiled.

"Great Sayaman, come here!" She waved her hand to him and he smiled back walking to her.

"So, what is it today?"

"They robbed the Satan Bank and made everyone inside as hostages, and they have a bomb."

"We were showing Videl-san the plant of the building, you two can enter by the roof entrance." The policemen said, concerned about their safety.

"No need." The two looked at him. "I'll go by the entrance door. Videl-san, go to the back door and get the hostages."

"Are you crazy? They have guns and a bomb; we can't risk the lives of the hostages!" She yelled at him. She knows that he's strong but he can't stop bullets.

"Relax, I can dodge the bullets and in the worst case I can get the bomb and throw it on the sky." Gohan seemed confident, and Videl just had to agree with his plan.

"Ok. But we have to enter at the same time." She said serious and he nodded.

When they were ready Gohan destroyed the front entrance. The bandits were surprised when they saw that the Great Sayaman was standing there and they started to shoot at him. For a few minutes they used all the bullets against him and they smiled. All they could see was smoke.

"Even the Great Sayaman will die if it is against bullets." Videl, who was inside releasing the hostages and not noticed thanks to the noise they did, hear one of the men says. She looked at the spot where Gohan had to be and after the smoke disappeared she gasped. He was standing there and she saw that he had not even a scratch on him, and he was smiling.

"So," Gohan spoke as he opened his hand, letting out all the bullets on the ground. "What did you just say? That I'd die to bullets?"

Videl couldn't believe in her eyes. 'Did he just…. Stopped the bullets?! How on earth he did that?!' Then she noticed that she was losing time, she had to help the rest of the hostages to get out of there, and started to untie the ones who were left.

"So, who want to get caught first?" She heard Gohan speaking and looked at the bandits and they were terrified. 'I'd be too if I was in their spot.' As she managed to get the hostages out of the bank they went to the front of the building and saw one bandit after another being throw by Gohan. The police just had to handcuff them.

"H-He's a monster! How can you guys don't arrest him?!" One of the bandits say that while pointing to the green figure that was getting out of the bank.

"Shut up! You are the bad guys, he's helping us!" One of the policemen made sure to tie this bandit really hard.

"Great Sayaman!" Videl yelled and he went fast to her.

"What is it Videl-san?"

"That was dangerous! How on earth did you catch the bullets?" She was curious, but at the same time she knew that he was going to avoid her question, again.

He laughed a little nervous and then seemed to remember something. "Shit! I forgot the bomb!" Gohan was so into the fight that he didn't ever recalled the most important thing.

"What?!" Videl was surprised that he had forgotten something so important like that. "We have to disarm that right away!"

"I don't think we have the time! While I was having fun one of them said that it'd explode soon enough."

'Having fun? Is that what he thinks about fighting these guys?'

"So, what do we do?"

"Wait here, I'll take care of this." He flew directly at the bank and started to search for the damn thing, but he couldn't find it. "Shit! Where they'd put that!" He was starting to get nervous when he heard Videl's voice.

"I managed to get one of them talk! It's on the air conditioning duct!" They looked around and there were at least ten exits of it and no time to look them all. Then the two heard a click.

"Get out of here Videl!" She was near the door but it exploded. Gohan panicked and with his speed he covered her body with his, and felt the wreckage falling on him, not that it would hurt him a lot. The people outside yelled at the sound and started to run. The police was in shock, their heroes were still there and the chances of surviving were really low. The bandits were smiling as they thought that at least they had killed the heroes.

'Why I don't feel pain?' Videl opened her eyes and realized why. She saw Gohan protecting her by doing a cabin with his body, letting space to air.

"Gohan! Are you ok?" She was concerned, how much longer he could hold back that huge amount of wreckage?

"Yeah no problem. Are you hurt anywhere?" She then saw that he was bleeding on his left arm, but he was still holding up all the weight.

"I'm ok but you're bleeding!" She put her hand on his arm and he smiled softly.

"It's nothing, really. This arm was worse once." Then, with a little groan he started to get up and to lift the amount of wreckage from them. Videl was amazed by that, in just an hour she saw how strong he really was. They could hear the people cheer up when they raised up from the spot they were and smiled to them.

"Videl, I'm going first to school, I'll go to the infirmary just in case. See you there." He murmured to her.

"Ok, go ahead I'll take care of this." She answered and saw he fly away.

On the way to the school Gohan stopped in midair and took a look at his arm. He saw that it was just a cut and nothing serious and sighed in relief. 'How could I forget about a bomb? I'm not like Vegeta and father who enjoy fighting this much… I think I have to stop to train for a while.' Gohan never stopped to train after the Cell games; the need to be strong and not do the same mistake again was too strong for him, but he actually almost did it again, he almost lose someone he cared for. 'Shit.' He was mad at himself, but noticed that he had to hurry to get to the school before Videl. 'If she gets there before me she'll ask me a lot of questions again.' He let out a little smile and flew to Orange High School.

As Videl entered the school gate she went to the infirmary, just to know if Gohan was fine and that the cut he had wasn't anything serious. She knocked on the door and heard the female voice that always spoke softly.

"Come in."

"Excuse me." Videl said opening the door and looked at the room and saw no trace of the boy she was searching for.

"Oh my, Videl! Are you hurt?" The blonde nurse asked while getting up and did a checkup on Videl's body.

"No, I'm fine. Did by any chance someone stopped by here?" The nurse pouted and thought a little.

"No, no one. It's a quiet morning in the school I guess. You are the first to come here today."

Videl bit her lower lip and put her tomb on it thinking. 'He didn't come here? So it was nothing serious right?' "I see. I'm going then, thank you!" She said and just run out of the infirmary and went to the classroom. When she opened the door the teacher was already there and Gohan too.

"Sorry, I had troubles at the city." Videl said to the teacher that nodded.

"It's ok; we know that you have an important place with the police. Just go to your seat now."

"Thank you." She sat down on her spot and Erasa talked to her.

"So, we heard a large explosion! What was that?"

"It was a bomb. I and Great Sayaman couldn't stop it, but no one was hurt."

Erasa made a terrified face. "Oh my God! Are you ok?"

"Yes, no problem. The Great Sayaman helped me a lot." Then she looked furtively to Gohan and saw that he was smiling at her. 'You'll have to explain to me why you didn't went to te infirmary and how you stopped these bullets later.'

"Really? So you're close to him now?!" Gohan asked playful, but instead of Videl's answer he got one from Sharpener.

"What! She just needs to be with him while fighting. Right?"

Videl chuckled. "No. I'm actually pretty close to him. But I still don't know his identity."

"The four of you!" The teacher yelled and they got up. "I'm trying to teach here! Be quiet!"

"Sorry." They all said and sat down again. They listened to the class quietly and finally it was the last period. As the bell rang every student went home, but the four friends stayed behind, talking. The group of friends were talking cheerfully while walking into the school garden.

"So, the Great Sayaman covered and protected you?" Erasa was talking with joy; she was trying to made Videl say that she like him.

"Yes, I just told you!"

"So, do you like him?" Erasa was smiling at her friend and Videl got nervous.

"W-What? Why I would like him?!" She avoided Gohan's eyes, and he did the same, both of them blushing.

"So you like him!" Videl started to get redder and then she was saved by Gohan's voice.

"Trunks!" He yelled and run to the front gate, letting the three friends behind. They looked at each other and wondered who Trunks was. 'Wait… isn't he the boy that Goten wanted to beat?' Videl thought but she shocked herself when she saw a teenager like them. 'Huh?'

"Gohan-san! You're so tall now!" The teen was happily talking to his friend, and Gohan was smiling.

"Of course! It has been years here! So, what brings you in this time? Is there some problem?" Gohan looked serious for a little period of time, and while hearing the conversation Videl curiosity comes back. 'Here? What did he mean by that?'

"Hey." Videl grabbed Gohan's right shoulder. "Mind to introduce?"

"Oh, right, sorry! It has been years since I last saw him!" Gohan smiled at his friends. "So, this is Erasa, Sharpener and Videl. She's the daughter of Mr. Satan." He added at the end so that Trunks would know that he had to be careful. "And this is Trunks."

"Hi, nice to meet you all." Trunks smiled.

"Oh my you're so pretty!" Erasa said happily.

"Nice to meet you." Sharpener just said and narrowed his eyes. 'This guy is strange. More than Gohan.'

"Hi." Videl said and keep her eyes on the new guy. Gohan then turned to Trunks and spoke smiling.

"Then, did you go to your parent's house yet?"

"I just came from there! You know mom, if I didn't went there first she'd gone insane." Gohan and Trunks laughed at the thought of Bulma getting angry at him. "I have something important to tell you guys so she said that I had to catch you first, since you are near." Gohan frowned and decided to go with him.

"Sorry guys, it seems I have to go."

"Can't we go with you?" Erasa said grabbing Trunks right arm and that made him blush and Sharpener just rolled his eyes.

"I-I'm sorry, it's a…" Trunks thought for a moment. "Family issue." That rang a bell on Videl's mind. 'Family huh. He'll not get away with that. He's just like Gohan.' She grabbed one of Gohan's arm and pulled him closer to her. Trunks smirked at this.

"I want to go with you." She murmured and before he could protest she continued. "If you say no I'll let everyone on the city know that you are you know who."

Gohan sweat dropped. If Trunks made all his way to the past again, it was something really bad and he doesn't wanted Videl to get involved.

"I don't know Videl. Something is wrong." He answered murmuring too.

"Get a room you two." Sharpener yelled at the scene Videl and Gohan were doing and started to walk. "Go ahead nerd." He said mad and started to walk away.

"Hey Sharpener! That was rude!" Erasa walked to him and slapped his head. Gohan, Videl and Trunks sweat dropped. Trunks then grabbed Gohan's shirt and made a signal with his head, understanding Gohan nodded.

"Oh my it's already this time? Sorry Videl I have to go!" He started to run with Trunks but she didn't let go of his arm.

"No way Gohan! I'll tell everyone!" She yelled and he groaned.

"Tell everyone what?" Trunks looked at her with curiosity.

"Well, do you know the Great Sayaman right?" She smirked; she'd start with his family or whatever they are to each other.

"Sayaman?" Trunks blinked. In his time line Gohan was dead so there was no such a thing but at the name Sayaman Trunks noticed. "Oh, Sayaman." He started to laugh and Gohan stared at him.

"What?" Gohan and Videl asked at the same time.

"Really, you could at least try harder for a name Gohan-san. It's so obvious." Gohan sighed.

"It's obvious for us ok? People who doesn't know the sayans don't - " He stopped. He just said something he shouldn't. 'Shit!'

"Whats an sayan?" Videl asked with her hands on her hips and with a frown.

"It's an… type of… addiction!" Gohan said and changed subjects. "Ah Trunks there something you need to know! Kururin married #18." Trunk's eyes widened at what he just heard.

"What?! Did she change then?" He was trying to not let out something that he shouldn't.

"Wait!" Videl yelled. "You're not getting away this time Gohan! And how the hell did you managed to know it is him?!" She pointed at Trunks madly.

'Wow she's pretty good, Gohan-san have an interesting taste in woman.' Trunks smirked at the thought he just had and looked playfull to Gohan.

"You have a good girlfriend Gohan-san." Then he just laughed more when the two got flustered and as red as a tomato and said in unison that they weren't like that. After some time Gohan and Trunks gave up at trying to convince Videl to stay and she just came along. She smiled and grabbed her capsule jet.

"Let's fly once we are off the city if you want to." Then she threw it away and the yellow jat made it entrance.

"She knows how to fly?" Trunks looked at his friend surprised.

"I taught her. It was a… condition to not tell anyone that I am the Great Sayaman." At the mention of the name Trunks smirked and Gohan hit him on the arm.

"Ouch!"

"Hey you two aren't coming?" Videl was angrily looking at them.

"Coming." The two said and entered the jet.
