Here is my new fanfic Nightmares and Secrets. I don't think it will be very long, but you never know. Enjoy

It had been a long day for Jack. It was the middle of January and he was working his hardest to bring snow all over the world. Jack was hoping that if he made more snow days and started more snowball fights that he might get more believers. Not to say that he didn't love the kids in Burgess, but he did wish we had more than just seven.

It had been two years since the defeat of Pitch Black and Jack was to get used to having friends around to talk to. Now he hasn't told them much. He told them how old he is(physically and mentally), what he can do with his powers, and where he lives. Well, where he used to live.

One time during a Guardian meeting, Jack was just about to leave from that month's boring meeting when Tooth asked where he was heading.

"Oh, um...my place?" Jack questioned

"Ya. Where do you live?" inquired Tooth

"I live…..uhhhhh"

"I don't think Jacky here wants you coming over and snooping around his house, Tooth" chimed in Bunnymund as he sat in his chair talking to Sandy..

"No it's not that." objected Jack as he turned away, "It's just that...I don't think you'd like my place."

"Why, is it cold?" inquired Tooth.

"No, it's,"

"Cluttered and messy." said Bunny

"No."

"Tis ok Jack. Ve're all friends, ve von't judge you."(If my Russian accent is not written correctly then someone please send me something about how to write accents) interjected North as he walked over to Tooth.

"You promise?" asked Jack turning around to face them

.

North and Tooth looked at each other then nodded to Jack.

"Bunny?" grumbled Jack

"What?" asked Bunny as he turned towards Jack.

"You won't judge me?"

"Not unless you live in a castle." Everyone looked at Bunny giving him confused faces. "Alright, I won't." he grumbled as he and Sandy walk/floated towards the others.

"Okay… I uhhhhh" Jack looked at the others nervously as Sandy gave him a thumbs up. Jack took a deep breath,

"I live outside of Burgess."

"In the forest?" asked Bunny.

Jack nodded.

"Oh, so you live in a cabin. I love cabins!" beamed Tooth, "They're so cozy and nice,"

"I don't live in a cabin." interrupted Jack. "I don't have a house." he muttered.

"What do you mean no house?" asked North.

"What are you, a hobo?" joked Bunny.

"No," said Jack, "I have a home, Burgess, I just don't have a house."

"But, where do you sleep?" fretted Tooth.

"It depends," Jack said while rubbing the back of his neck. "When the lake is frozen I'll sleep on it. Or I'll sleep in the trees or on the ground."

"Vhat about your belongings?" asked North

"You're looking at them." Jack lifted his staff and pulled on his hoodie, showing them what he owned.

The guardians looked at Jack with a sad look in their eyes.

"Don't worry guys, it's fine," reassured Jack with a smile on his face, "I'm alright. I've lived like this for three hundred years, I'm used to it."

"But Jack, you need a home." said Tooth.

"I have a home," said Jack.

"Not just a town, Jack," added Bunny.

Sandy used his dreamsand and made an image of Jack climbing into a bed inside a house, while it rained outside.

"Guys it's no big deal,"stated Jack.

"It is, Jack," said North as he walked towards Jack, "Everyone needs a place to come back to after the day is over."

"Well I don't know of any place with extra beds for me to jump into, so I'll stick to my lake." said Jack and he turned to leave.

"Idea!" shouted North making everyone jump.

North grabbed Jack and put him over his shoulder.

"North, what are you doing?" howled Jack as North ran out of the room.

"I have an idea! Out of the way!" North called to the Yetis as he ran through the workshop.

The other Guardians ran/flew after North and Jack, trying to keep up. Jack struggled to get away from North as he bounded up the stairs and into a room.

"North! Put me down!" shouted Jack.

North then grabbed and put him down on a soft surface.

"What were you thinking?" growled Jack.

"I was thinking of solution," North stepped back from Jack and stretched out his arms. "Tada!"

Jack looked around the room and saw that there was a small room off to his left and a nightstand to his right. On the nightstand was a lamp and a digital clock. He also noticed that he was sitting on a bed with blue covers with the head of the bed by the nightstand. Jack looked behind him and saw a window big enough for him to walk through and a window seat below it. Next to the window on the left, was a brown desk with a roller chair in front of it.

At that moment, the other Guardians came rushing into the room staring concerned at North and Jack.

"What were you doing, North?" huffed Bunny, "Taking off like that with Jack."

"I was fixing problem."

Sandy made a question mark above his head.

"This is now Jack's room," North said triumphantly.

"What?" said Jack as he jumped off of the bed.

"Now you have room wis bed and roof," North explained.

"Perfect!" cheered Tooth.

"No not perfect," argued Jack. "I can't live here!"

"Why not?" asked Bunny.

"Because, I...I," Jack looked around the room trying to find a reason. "I just can't."

"Jack, I know this is fast," said Tooth giving North a stiff glare. "but it's for the best."

"No it's not," insisted Jack, "I was fine before you guys came and I'll be fine without your help."

As Jack finished talking, his stomach made a loud, rumbling sound.

"Wow Jack. When was the last time you ate?" asked Bunnymund.

"Umm….three days ago?" mumbled Jack.

"What?" everyone shouted. Except Sandy, who made an exclamation point point above his head.

"How could you not eat for three days?" asked North.

"It's kinda hard finding food in the woods." confessed Jack.

"That's it!" declared Bunny. "You are staying here in the pole, so you can eat and sleep!"

"No I'm not!" yelled Jack. "I don't want to stay here and I don't need to!" Jack started to storm out of the room, but North caught him by his right arm.

"Jack, you need to listen," said North.

"No, I want to go home!" argued Jack as he tried to get loose.

"Jack," cooed Tooth placing a hand on his left shoulder. "I understand if you want to go back to Burgess. It sounds like you really like that place."

"I've lived there all my life. I don't leave it behind." croaked Jack looking over at Tooth.

"You don't have to. You can still visit, but you need a bed to sleep in and food to eat."

Jack looked down at the ground.

"This is for the best, Jack." chimed in Bunny.

Jack looked up at all the Guardians giving him supportive faces. He dipped his head back down in defeat.

"Alright," divulged Jack, "I'll stay at the pole."

"Yay!" cheered Tooth.

"Now let's get some food in zat belly of yours." said North as he let go of Jack's arm and guided him out of the room.

That night Jack had a hard time sleeping in his new bed. First the comforter was too thick. He gets warm very easy being a winter spirit, so he threw it on the floor. Second he was so used to sleeping on the ground and in trees that the bed was too soft for him. He tossed and turned, but he couldn't fall asleep. At about midnight, Jack got out of bed, grabbed his staff, and walk towards the door. When he tried the door handle though, he found it locked.

"UGGG!" groaned Jack as he leaned back against the door. He couldn't believe they locked him in.

He look around the room and saw the window in the back of the room. He was about to fly out the window, when he thought about how the Guardians would react to him sneaking off. He looked back at his new bed and remembered what Tooth told him earlier. you need a bed to sleep in and food to eat. Jack put his staff against the window and slowly headed to bed. He climbed in, but he still couldn't sleep. Jack rolled over and saw the comforter on the floor. He hopped out of bed, grabbed his pillow, and laid down on top of it. He quickly fell asleep and woke up the next morning to North shaking him and giving him breakfast. North and him had a conversation about why he was on the floor and not in bed. Jack told him he would get used to it and he just needed some time.

Jack did get used to his room and sleeping in a bed within the month and has been sleeping there ever since. Nowadays Jack flies to his room and crashes there every night. North also makes sure that he gets enough food everyday and even packs him lunches in the winter. Today was no exception.

Jack had gotten up, eaten breakfast, grabbed his lunch, and flown off to spread winter. He worked all day and was pretty worn out. He landed on the balcony outside his window, that North had built him, and walked into his room. He closed the window behind him and walked towards his bed. He put his staff against the wall next to his bed and and walked back across the room to his desk. North had been asking Jack to keep track of where he went and how much snow he gave each place. Jack picked up a pencil and looked behind and to his left at his clock. It read 2:49am. Jack groaned when he saw what time it was. There was a Guardian Meeting tomorrow and they had them in the morning at 10:00am, so that Sandy and Tooth wouldn't be too busy. He wanted to go to bed, but he knew that North liked keep track of where Jack had gone and that he wasn't doing too many snow days. Jack tried to hurry, but his eyes kept drooping till about ten minutes later he fell asleep on his desk.

The next morning the Guardians gathered at the North Pole to have their monthly meeting. Everyone was there, except Jack. He was still sleeping soundly on his desk, up in his room. Little did he know that he was perfect bait for the man hiding in the shadows.

Hope you like it far! I'm working on the next chapter as I write this and will try to have it done by tomorrow. Until next time, be sure to check out my other fanfics!
