Disclaimer: I own nothing.
It's finally over! This story is finished!
I got the idea from that sgt frog fic idea kicking around of what if Saburo was a man in black. Sorry it wasn't as epic as it could have been.
I gave it an open ending if I ever wanted to continue it or make a sequel at the time I thought I might, but now, not so much. If anybody wants to know what I had planned just tell me and I will tell you.
What will I do now? I'm thinking of either doing lots and lots of homework (Realistic goal) Starting a new fic called the Harvest (Which I have planned out and I personally think is going to be pretty cool. It's got an Evil Fuyuki, one of my guilty pleasures) or planning out a new collab fic with my sister. (Not the Hinata House, something over the summer that she has agreed to do with me.)
Also I'm thinking maybe I'll edit Happy End's chapters, give more detail change typos. Nothing major. What do you guys think I should do?
Anyway, here's the last chapter of this fic.
It had been 7 months since the men in black had been beaten, but Fuyuki knew it was hardly over. The tragedies that had happened were still plaguing everyone's lives.
He remembered having gotten back home to the Hinata house and everybody splitting up. He remembered it like it was yesterday.
"The mission to invade Pekopon is probably over with by now," Kululu had told him. "There's no reason to stay here on Pekopon. Especially since most of my platoon is dead."
"Are you going to return to Keron?" Fuyuki asked curiously.
"And be seen as a failure for not invading? Nah! I'm going to leave out to space. Where? I don't know. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Might as well figure it out during my space travels. I'm not an invader anymore, after all."
"Why not stay on Earth with us?" Fuyuki asked hopefully. He didn't want to lose anymore friends. He wanted to keep what little of the Keroro Platoon there was left together.
"Well... It's because of the Men in Black. Who knows if they'll restart, or if other governments have their own Men in Black? It's not safe for aliens on Pekopon. Ku, ku, ku. Sorry," Kululu told him. "I have to take Mois and leave. It's best that way."
"You're taking Mois with you?" Fuyuki asked.
Mois nodded, "We're going to tour the universe together, looking for stuff for Kululu to do and destroying planets! Every time you look up at the night sky and see another star has disappeared, it'll be because of me." She hugged Kululu affectionately. Kululu blushed.
"So... Bye, I guess. Thanks for all your help," he had told Fuyuki. They shook hands, and soon enough Kululu was gone.
Fuyuki missed them both, but they tried to send letters to him to keep him in the loop about what was going on. It was nice of them to at least keep him in the loop.
"Fuyuki!" Momoka, his girlfriend, ran up to him before he entered school. She hadn't been with him on the adventure infiltrating the Men in Black facility and she was still mostly in the dark about what had happened there, what had changed him and his sister so much. She was still always supportive of whatever had made him so frightened of hurting others, though.
He didn't know why he hadn't known she had a crush on him so long. As soon as she had told him a few months after Kululu had left, he had at first been happy, and then felt guilty. She had no idea what had truthfully happened to her friend Tamama, and that was thanks to him.
He had vowed to never let her learn the truth so that the Nishizawa corporation wouldn't get mad at the government. She still believed Tamama had died during a horrible mission gone wrong.
"Hi, Momoka." Fuyuki gave Momoka a kiss on her forehead. She smiled. "Paul received some letters from both Dororo and Kululu for you."
The Nishizawa corporation had better access to the postal services so Dororo and Kululu were only able to send letters to him via Momoka. She didn't read any of the letters, and he was thankful for that.
"That's great!" he smiled. He took the letters in her hand and put them in his backpack. He'd read them when he got home.
Soon enough, he was home, and ready to read his letters. He opened Dororo's first so he wouldn't forget it.
Dear Fuyuki, it started.
It was nice to hear your latest letter and how well you are doing. I am sorry that Lady Natsumi is still not feeling well. I will remedy that when my quest for Lady Koyuki is complete.
Fuyuki smiled. Dororo had promised to return with Koyuki eventually. He had left determined to find where the Men in Black had taken her.
I have found some clues to where she is. Well, I at least know she's alive. She was taken to some sort of facility to be trained to be a soldier. I do not know if she's still there or has escaped, but Lady Koyuki is not dead and that thought fills me with peace and happiness.
For as long as I live, I will search for her until I will reunite with her. And when we reunite, I will bring her to Lady Natsumi so she can see her friend again.
Until then, good bye.
Fuyuki smiled. At least Dororo was having some luck on his search. He hoped that Dororo found his friend soon.
He opened the second letter, the letter from Kululu.
Fuyuki,
I'm selling inventions all over the universe. I'm getting tons of cash. It's been going well. After I've sold someone a faulty invention (Get it, faulty? Because there are fault lines and... Oh never mind, your Pekoponian brain wouldn't get the joke. Ku, ku, ku.) Mois usually destroys the planet before they can hunt me down. It's great.
I live in a giant ship that I myself made. It's the best ship, if I do say so myself. Definitely kicks the Garuru platoon's butts. I did have to file away my resignation to planet Keron, and although I'm not banished, they are looking at me with shame, but who cares about them? I'm sleeping with the Lord of Terror. I'm a bit more powerful than they are. That was more information than Fuyuki wanted to know, and he shuddered a bit at the thought.
It's pretty good. I mean, Mois and I are still trying to get over the terrible things that happened in that facility. (Like some of the janitor's singing when they cleaned my cell. That terrible voice will haunt me forever now! Ku, ku, ku.)
But there's no Men in Black in space. Other planets are way more civilized then Pekopon.
- From the biggest jerk till the end, Kululu
Fuyuki frowned. He flipped the page to read the second part of the letter that seemed a lot neater and had less kus on it. He assumed Mois had written it.
Dear Fuyuki,
Don't worry! Kululu and I are having loads of fun! We're super happy wandering around the big, wide universe and seeing so many things.
We go on beautiful romantic date locations, like, every day. It's super lovey-dovey. And he's so great at kissing. It just totally sweeps you off your feet. I could kiss him for hours.
Touring around with him, just him and me, you could say, like an early honeymoon?
Hahaha, but we aren't really married yet. I've heard the phrase on Pekopon is, living in sin? Is that what we're doing? It's all right. Kululu says that someday he'll get around to marrying me. And we'll totally invite you when that happens and then we can all see each other again.
Until then, Kululu and I are going to be super happy together and put the past behind us.
(Don't tell him I told you this, but he still totally has that staring problem and it's super cute and adorable.)
- From the super happy and in love Angol Mois!
He noticed how filled with hearts Mois's letter was. It was just like her. Although he didn't really want to know so many details.
He was happy that they were happy, though. Unlike his sister was. He looked up the stairs to see if she had left her room yet.
She hadn't. She hadn't gone to school in seven months. Natsumi was completely reclusive, muttering to herself and shivering from what had happened. It had really broken her.
He and Aki had talked about Natsumi a few times, and although she talked to Aki, she didn't talk to many others. There wasn't the chance of getting her therapy, since nobody knew about aliens so she wouldn't be able to talk about her problems.
Fuyuki just felt sorry for his poor sister. She was stuck in a terrible mental state, muttering Giroro's name over and over again believing it was she who had been the weak one for not being able to save him.
He had read about the five stages of grief, but she seemed to be stuck. She never ever got to the acceptance.
And for that, he felt sorry.
Guys... I know you all had to do your own thing, but maybe it would have been best if you stayed. For Sis. To tell her it wasn't her fault.
We all fell for Saburo in a way, we all lost friends, but she needs more to relate to than just me, Fuyuki sighed.
They had all gone, though. He was on his own with Natsumi, and he had to be the sibling to step up and help her.
Hopefully, someday, she could recover.
Kululu put the ship on auto-pilot for a moment.
"You think Fuyuki got the letters?" he asked Mois. She nodded.
"Probably. I hope he's as happy as we are." She smiled.
"Probably not. I doubt anybody can be as happy as you." Kululu teased, giving her a quick kiss on her cheek.
"I mean... Do you think he ever got over Uncle's death?" she asked. She was still working through it, but she could have moments of happiness for herself.
"No. But I think he's happy," Kululu responded. "It's so... Weird how many people died because of my mistake of befriending Saburo."
"It's not a mistake to befriend someone. It's their mistake for betraying you," she insisted.
"Yes, but... the Captain, Giroro, and Tamama all died because of Saburo. They tried to force us to breed so they could take our child. It was sick!" he reminded her.
Mois nodded. "They're gone now. They won't take anything from us." She smiled, seeing that Kululu's hand was on her stomach. He was worried, more so than she was. She knew she had destroyed them well.
"Shhh..." She held him close. "It's all right. They're not here. And even if they were alive they can't follow us into space."
"Do you think we should have mentioned this to Fuyuki? Th-the... child?" Kululu asked, gently rubbing her small baby bump.
"It'll be a surprise," she smiled, "Okay?" She held Kululu's hand.
"Okay," Kululu agreed. "Are you sure, though? I mean... nobody will take it away for being half-Angolian, right? It's going to be okay?"
"Nobody even knows I'm pregnant, Kululu. Besides you, of course." She gave him another soft kiss. "Now stop worrying so much." She leaned in to kiss him more deeply.
Kululu accepted these kisses happily.
There was nothing to worry about. The Men in Black were behind him. His new life with Mois was beginning. He had to stop being in the past and move on to the future.
He wrapped his arms around Mois and kissed her, hopeful about their new life.
"I love you, Mois," he told her, briefly looking into her eyes.
"I love you too," she sincerely and lovingly told him.
He sighed into her kiss. They were safe. Now and forever.
