(Jack POV)
The NightMares were surrounding Sandy left and right, until they formed a complete circle around him.
Slowly...they started to enclose on him.
"Guys!" Jack shouted over the noise of the battle, the Guardians all turned to him, "We have to help, Sandy!" and he flew off to the Sandman, freezing NightMares when they got too close for comfort.
Jack continued to fly towards the Golden man, growing faster as the Nightmares got closer to, Sandy.
Out of the corner of Jack's eye, he saw Pitch smirking, but didn't have time to wonder why when a NightMares flew in front of him. After he froze the horse, he snapped his head towards where he last saw, Pitch, to make sure was in the clear. Only, when he turned his head, he didn't see a the Boogeyman, nor a trace of his shadowness. But when he swerved to see where he was, only to see him staring at, Sandy, and out of nowhere, he formed a bow of Black Dreamsand, and aimed the newly formed arrow at the defenseless Sandman. Jack's eyes widened when it was set loose.
"Noooooo!" Jack screamed as the arrow whistled in the air. He had to get to Sandy, and quick. He knew that he wouldn't be able to get to, Sandy, and get them both to safety.
There was only one option.
Jack flew towards Sandy, the wind aided him, not knowing that he was about to make a life or death decision. Jack got to, Sandy, and seconds before the arrow struck, he shielded the Sandman with his body.
Then it hit.
The arrow that was aiming for Sandy hit its mark. But instead of him, it hit Jack's chest, exactly where his heart was-or so they thought.
In his last moment of movement, he pushed Sandy away to the other Guardians. He collapsed to his knees, and when he looked to the side to see, North, Bunny, Tooth, and Sandy standing together staring at the scene that had just played by like a video.
He gave them a sad smiled.
He looked up the moon.
His eyes dimming.
His vision blurring.
His spirit breaking.
A single tear sliding down his cheek.
The last thing he heard was the Guardians yelling his name as the darkness overtook him.
(Guardian POV)
The Guardians watched in horror as their youngest member was surrounded by Black Sand;slowly hiding him from view.
"Jack!" Tooth screamed, and flew towards him faster than the others thought her wings could go.
Bunny hopped on all fours, racing towards him.
North jumped from Chimney to Chimney to get to the building her was at.
Sandy still in shock, formed a platform of sand, and flew towards him.
They arrived little too late.
The Sand completely closed around, Jack.
Sandy hit it with his Dreamsand whips, only for them to change to Dark Dreamsand, and crawl towards him before letting them go.
Tooth tried slicing at it with her wings, only for the NightMares attacking her.
North sliced at it with his Starlight swords only for no avail.
Bunny kept hitting it with exploding eggs, and his boomerangs only for them to bounce back.
Even the Light of the Full Moon couldn't break the Sand.
With a burst of power, the Black ball of sand exploded and knocked all the Guardians backwards.
"J-Jack?" North shakily called out their friends name.
The sand soon disappeared to show Jack Frost.
But the Immortal that kneeled there was not Jack Frost.
Jackson Overland Frost was no longer with them.
The being that kneeled under the Moon had Jack's features and clothes, but even those were slightly changed.
He had hair Black as Raven feathers replacing his Snow White hair. His eyes were no longer an Electric Blue with a mischievous glint to them, but Deep Purple that shined with Sorrow and Pain. His Smile now a straight line. His skin had a Grayish tint to it.
He stared up at the Moon...and sneered at it.
Bunny slowly hopped towards him, "Jack...mate?" he put his furry paw on Jack's shoulder. For a second, he swore he could see Jacks old blue in the deep purple, but it was quickly consumed. Still staring at the Moon, Jack smiled, his Snow White teeth now as Sharpened to a Point. Jack's head snapped at Bunny's voice, and saw his paw on his shoulder, and grasped it tightly.
He twisted Bunny's arm until there was a cracking noise that echoed in the silent air. For the first time in who knows how long, Bunny was afraid, but hid his Pain and Fear as he tried to pull away, but Jack's grip was too strong.
"I think he's had enough, Jack...Let him go.." Pitch's voice was life silk, as all the Guardians looked towards the voice, and saw Pitch with his hands behind his back, slowly making his way toward the teen.
Jack's head snapped towards Pitch, he growled but let the Pooka go.
Bunny quickly bounded back towards the others, cradling his twisted wrist.
"Bunny, you alright?" North put his hand on his friend's back.
"Yeah mate, but what happened to, Jack?"
"I do not know, but it has something to do with, Pitch..I can feel it...In my belly!"
"Oh stop with this stomach nonsense old man.." Pitch sneered, he floated on a platform towards, Jack.
"What did you do Pitch!?" Tooth screamed at him.
"Nothing, it was his choice to save the Sandman, it just so happened to be my arrow.." the Nightmare King quietly laughed.
Tooth flew straight at him, only to be stopped by NightMares attacking her.
"Foolish Fairy, you all now realize that you lost this battle before it even started!"
"Pitch!" North roared, Pitch had finally crossed the line in his mind. North always say Jack as a son to him, and was always protective over him.
"Goodbye Guardians! Thank you for Jack, and I hope you have a swell realizing this was your fault, I would stay longer but I need to get Jack home!"
Pitch was next to Jack in an instant, and he put his arms around Jack's chest, sneering at the Guardians.
The Black Dreamsand surrounded the two again, hiding them from view, and stealing them away from the world.
But the Guardians knew that what Pitch had just done was the last straw when they saw a Tear Fall from his eyes. For a moment they were their Old Electric Blue, but turned back to the Deep Purple when the Black Sand enclosed on them, and disappeared.
Jack was gone from them.
But they swore to get him back.
For the Children.
For the Guardians.
For the Moon.
For the World.
For Him.
