Hiya! My name's Qopster and I will try to entertain you tonight, or this morning, or whatever it is. this is my first League of Legends fan fic, and I hope this prologue is okay for you guys! And girls, I'm not gonna cut out half of the world here. Oh, one last thing. A Mister... Koiyaki? Author of "The chain Warden" Awesome story, you should read it, got me inspired to do this. I don't think she minds me saying this, but she kind of inspired me to write this. So yeah! Have a nice read!

Deep in the mountains to the mountains in the north, a dragon was licking his wounds from a recent battle. He had been able to kill the disgrace that had had a child with a human, but unfortunately, he had wounded him enough to where he couldn't risk fighting her. So he fled to the north, into the mountains and hid in a cave to lick his wounds. Unknown to him, things were conspiring against him.

Shyvana growled as a cold wind went over her scales, her leathery wings flapping as she flew towards where the bastard that killed her father was hiding. She could smell him, and she would kill him. But, she did have to rest soon enough. She began to slow down, and flap her wings more slowly as she landed on a pathway through a forest…right in front of a group of soldiers.

Are you fucking kidding me? she swore in her head. Of all the times and places. She changed to her humanoid form, and bared her fangs, ready to kill them all.

Just then, for some reason, one of the men stepped forward from the others and bowed to her. "Hello m'lady. My name is Jarvan the fourth, prince of Demacia. May I ask your name?"

"Hmph, you may, but you might not get an answer."

The other soldiers took out their weapons, causing her to respond by letting fire lick at her hands.

"Now, now," he said, looking at his men, telling them to lower their weapons. "Would you tell me your name, please m'lady? And why you seem to be traveling in the same direction as us. I hope it's not to terrorize anyone is it?"

She scoffed at him. "No, it's not. I'm here to hunt down a dragon for killing my father. And my name is Shyvana. Call me by it."

"If you say so Lady Shyvana. We~"

"I said Shyvana, no lady."

"Alright, Shyvana, we are hunting for a dragon as well. It wouldn't perchance be a dragon with black wings, black scales, a black heart, and golden eyes? A scar runs along it's chest?"

She blinked in surprise. "It might be…"

"Would you like to accompany us then? We are hunting for the same fowl beast. It has been terrorizing nearby town you see, and~"

"Yeah, whatever," she said rudely, interrupting him. "Don't slow me down, and I'm fine with it. Can I have a place to sleep?"
"I think we have an extra tent, don't we?" he asked, turning to his soldiers.

One of them nodded. "We have 5 in total, extra."

"Good, so, we shall accompany you. In exchange," she tightened up, ready to fight, but he raised a hand to calm her. "You fight with us when we find the dragon, don't kill us, and help us kill him to get your revenge, alright?"

She relaxed and blinked at him. Why is he trusting me? She looked at his eyes. He seemed, wiser than his age let on. Hm, whatever. "I accept."

"That is great news. You have some wonderful firepower," every soldier groaned at his bad pun, and he chuckled. "Regardless, welcome. We'll be setting up camp after we find a good spot. Is that okay with you?"

"Sure, I'm tired anyway."

True to his word, as soon as they found a clearing, they set up camp. There were 20 soldiers and then the prince. Everyone besides the princes and herself shared a tent, but she was glad she had her own. Someone might have had to die so she could get one by herself otherwise.

She heard someone hit the flap of her tent entrance. "Who is it?"

"Thomas," said one of the soldiers. "I was told to ask if you would like something to eat? We have a nice broth~"

"Does it have meat?" she asked, cutting him off.

"Um…yes…"

She opened the flap and accidently hit him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. "Then yes, I'll have some."

"Over there…" he said, pointing to a large, tent that had cookers than ran on magic, stoves that ran on magic, and lots of other cooking devices that were portable and ran on magic.

She came over and grabbed a bowl which she filled up with soup before sitting down. She began to eat it slowly, while the others kept their distance. Jarvan sat across from her on the grass, causing her to look up and smirk.

"What? Not even princes get someone to put a pillow under their ass when they sit on the grass? I'm shocked."

He smirked and shook his head. "No, this is just a trip for me to go fight with my men. I'm not special here. If we were at the palace though, it would be a different story."

"Oh really? Guess who gives a fuck, not me!"

"You should really watch your mouth, after all you are in front of nobility here," he said, acting pompous.

"Choke on a chode," she responded with, going back to her soup.

He just laughed at her, and smiled. "What do you plan on doing after you get revenge?"

She froze. She hadn't really thought that far. "I'll think about it once I get there."

"Alright, La-"a quick glare caused him to fix his speech. Alright Shyvana, later then."

The soldiers followed her as she led them through a mountain pass and to a large cave, where she said the dragon was hiding inside.

"Alright men," Jarvan said, turning to them. They all straightened up. "Battle formations." They did so, splitting off into four groups of five. "You guys know what to do, let's all get come alive." A loud cheer came from them, and Jarvan smiled.

"Shyvana, we shall allow you the finishing blow, and you may help us fight if you wish, or you could leave it to us."

"I want to see if you humans are all talk or actually have something to your name." Shyvana said as she leaned back against the cave entrance.

"Alright men, let's move in and subdue this fowl beast."

They rushed in, but the dragon was awake and had been alerted by the sounds.

"Oh look, dinner, it's a shame I already ate, but I can always have you humans tomorrow."

They surrounded him, one group by each leg. They then began attacking. Whenever he swung his tail or tried to breathe fire, the ones with sword in the front would swap out with the ones with shields, and slowly but surely, they were cutting him down. One of the most amazing ones was Jarvan in the front. He hopped into the air and slammed his spear into the ground, causing stone walls to pop up around the dragon and trap it. He then swung his lance back and forth across its snout, pissing it off even more. He hopped back as it breathed fire, turning to Shyvana.

"Would you like to finish it off now?"

"Fuck yes!" She changed into her giant dragon form, fire surrounding her body as she rushed the dragon, fire foaming at her mouth. She slammed the dragon up against the wall, butting her head against him again and again so that he was dazed.

"DIE YOU BASTARD!" She growled loudly, before tearing her fist through his chest, grabbing his heart and yanking it out. The soldiers covered their ears as she tore through his scales and ripped his heart out, letting his heartless body fall to the ground. She threw the heart at him, and changed back to her human form, throwing his blood onto the floor.

"Impressive," Jarvan said as he walked up, patting her shoulder. She jumped and swung around, causing him to jump back, "Hey, hey, what did I do?"

"Huh?" she snapped out of her rage, blinking at him. "Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to do that."

"Blood rage?"

"A bit, so, what now?"

"Now? He gestured to a nearby cave that had something sparkling in it. "We take a reward and steal his gold. You get a piece of it as well."

"Oh…okay…"

They ended up having to take a wagon from the closest town and get all of the gold onto it to take it down, and it took an entire extra day. Shyvana stuck around to help them carry it down, camping in the same place with them. In the morning, she sat by a tree and watched them pack up. Jarvan walked over and looked down at her, offering her a hand.

"Come on, we're going. Do you know what you're going to do?"

"No, not really," she admitted with a shrug.

"Well, your strength is quite admirable, I could use you with my group of elite guards. Or you could join the Institute."

"The Institute?"

"The Institute of War, have you never heard of it?"

"…no?"

He stared at her, confused. "Okay…well…that's a thing…"

"Could I do both."

"If you wish. I would give you money and~"

"I said I would," she said interrupting him again. "I'll join you first as part of your guard, and maybe with the League."

"Good to hear, well then, we have a long hike to the castle."

She thought for a moment. "If I'm your guard, does that mean I have to obey you?"

"Yes, why?"

"I'll give you a treat then for helping me kill that bastard who killed my father." She changed into her dragon, lowering a wing. "Hop on."

"I really should stay with my men," he said, walking back slowly, slightly intimidated.

She glared at him. "Hop on."

"Um…alright…men," he said, turning to the 20. "Guard the gold and keep it safe until you get to the castle. Alright?" They nodded and raised their swords in a parting gesture as he climbed onto the dragon's back.

"Hold onto my spikes, I don't slow down."

"What do you meAAAAN!" He said, screaming slightly as the dragon suddenly took off, his arms flailing in the air before he grasped onto a spine and held onto for dear life. He was glad the dragon was warm though, otherwise he might have turned into a popsicle prince fairly quickly. It wasn't long, only half an hour until they were nearing the city, Demacia.

"Um, Shyvana?" He called out through the fierce wind

"What is it Jarvan?"

"You should land outside, you might be shot down otherwise."

"Oh…right, you make a good point." She began to slow down and flap her wings more slowly, until she was landing with a thud outside of the city. Pedestrians all around her stared at her in confusion. Why was a dragon here with their prince? Did he tame one? She slid him off her back and he landed on his feet before she changed into her humanoid form.

"You alright?"

"Yes I am Shyvana, now let's go, my father is probably waiting for me. And if you could, please address me as Sir, or your heighness while we're here."

"Why would I do that?"

"It's…customary in a place like this. Also, you are now part of my guard, so you should show some respect."

"Hmph, I guess so, Sir Jarvan," she said with a bit of stubbornness in her voice.

"See? It won't kill you. Now c'mon, I want to show you around while I can."

It turned out that he wouldn't be able to show her around just yet. He hand business to attend to first, so she was told she could wander around or wait for him. Since she chose wait, he gave her a small toy to play with.

Shyvana sat, quiet as she twisted a small cube around in her hands. What had Jarvan called this, a…Rubik Cube? She soon grew annoyed of the fact she could never get everything to face the same side, and contemplated quickly incinerated it, growling. Why did he give her such a stupid toy to busy herself with? She wouldn't destroy it though, if it belonged to Jarvan. He was right though, she did now work for him.

I wonder what'll it will be like. Who knows, I will guard him though. She thought to herself, before looking up from the cube as she heard footsteps approaching. She bolted up, but only saw it was Jarvan.

"Oh, hello Sir Jarvan." She said, looking at him. Can you show me around now?"

"Yes I can." He began walking away, so she followed him. He gave her the grand tour. Where the cafeteria was, where the rooms of his guards were, even pointing out her room, where the barracks was, the throne room, bakery, everything.

"So what do I do?"

"Hmmm, follow me around mostly, that's all you have to do as my guard. Oh, but not if I'm at the Institute."

"Why?"

"It's protected, as am I when I go there. Actually, you should join me tomorrow when I go there and see what is there."

"If you tell me to I will."

He sighed. "You could really be a bit more human," he muttered.

"Did you say something?" she asked, not having heard him.

"Nothing important. So anyway, I wish you a good night Shyvana. Get a good bit of sleep, I would like to show you around the Institute tommrow."

"Alright, goodnight Sir Jarvan." She said as she watched him walk away. She went to her own room and looked around. Shower, bed, dresser, very Spartan like. But she didn't mind, she wasn't used to staying around places for a long time anyway. She could live with this, she probably would be on the run from someone else soon enough anyway.

She laid on the bed and closed her eyes, falling into a deep sleep where she dreamed of nothing in particular besides fire. Lots and lots of fire.

Anyway yeah, tell me what you think! I love feedback, as long as it's not stupid! Goodnight, day, whatever the fuck it is for you lovely people!
