Qetesh looked over the reports she had gotten from Tranit for the past three months. The first month was the first two reports. The reports were pretty normal. Hayato joined into regular Jaffa training fairly easy. He started learning how to wield a staff weapon, and from what the reports said he was making great progress. He seemed to be a natural weapon wielder if the reports were to be believed.

It was the third report that she had a feeling things were changing. Hayato if the reports were to believed began training at night, and had several Jaffa joining him. When the fourth report came Qetesh couldn't help, but smirk. Apparently Hayato was taking to the jaffa way very quickly, but also influenced some of what the young jaffa thought. The report spoke of how instead of being noble, and dieing with honour. Hayato spoke of being unhonourable, and gaining the chance to live to hopefully serve their goddess longer. The report even quoted what he said.

"What use are you to our goddess if you're dead. If you're all dead then who will follow are goddess. It be better to be unhonourable, and live long enough to serve her until she deems us fit to retire. Then we can go to our families."

Tranit mentions soon after that jaffa began using everything to win, and that Hayato was teaching them combat moves that helped improve them.

In the fifth report Tranit reported that Hayato surpassed most of the jaffa in skill. Hayato understood tactics well, he could fire a staff weapon or Zat'nik'tel with unnatural accuracy, and Hayato could beat everyone when it came to hand to hand combat. Even if it was a group against him. He also showed the young jaffa the importance in having a knife wherever you went. He showed them how it helped them in combat for close, and mid range if thrown, and how it was an important survival tool.

The sixth report basicly recommended that Hayato be sent to the advanced camp. seeing no reason not to send him Qetesh said the a jaffa nearby, "Go to the young jaffa training area, and tell Tranit that Hayato is approved to move to the advanced camp." Qetesh watched as the jaffa in regular grey armor bowed, and left. Three months, and already this former slave was proving of some use. He was improving her jaffa, and was making them more prone to survive to serve her another day.

Hayato looked around the camp he was in. Around him he could see many jaffa running around the camp, a group of jaffa sparing, and another group of jaffa practicing their aim with staff weapons on wood post.

Currently he was just standing after finishing another spar with three jaffa. They no longer posed much of a challenge. He had learned their combat style, and found it very lacking. It seemed slow, open, and far too easy to beat. After his talking of being unhonourable the jaffa had increased in skill some, but they still didn't compare to his peoples close fighting abilities.

Their staff weapons were somewhat interesting, but still seemed slow, the energy fire was easily seen, and dodged. The Zat'nik'tel was far better weapon do to it being harder to dodge, and a blue energy burst was a little harder to see. The only real problem was that it took two shots to kill, but it really wasn't hard to shot twice when the first shot stuns the person.

Hayato remembered his first day at the camp. Tranit thought it would be a good idea for them to spar, and see what he could do.

(Flashback)

Hayato stood across from Tranit. They had just left the large white tent. Tranit walked over to a rack that held wood looking staff weapons. Picking two up he threw one to Hayato. He then got in a stance while Hayato looked at the weapon. It wasn't balanced very well, and seemed far too bulky.

Hayato stab the staff into the ground, and simple got in a stance for hand to hand combat. His personal style was basically reacting to his opponent, and then attacking. He hadn't practiced in years, but it's like all things. When you do something long enough it's hard to forget.

Tranit acted first. Jumping forward he brought his staff down aiming for Hayato's head. While the attack was some fast to the jaffa around him it seemed slow to him. Stepping to the side Hayato avoided the attack. He then retaliated by bring his knee into Tranits stomach.

Tranit quickly found himself losing his breath, and falling to the ground. His armor did nothing to stop the force of hayato's attack.

Hayato gave Tranit time to recover. Normally he wouldn't, but this was a simple spar, and the man's skill seemed pathetic now that he had seen it.

Tranit got back into his stance again. He looked to now be acting more careful, and looking for a opening. Finally have enough of not doing anything Tranit attacked again. he brought his staff forward in a stab like motion. Hayato swiped the staff aside to the right. Tranit went with the movement of his staff swinging it toward Hayato's left side. Seeing the attack coming Hayato simple caught the staff. Tranit looked somewhat surprised by his strength to stop the attack. Hayato used that surprise to attack. Bring his right fist around he punched Tranit's face. The last thing Tranit saw was Hayato's fist then everything went black.

Hayato let go of the staff as he saw Tranit fall to the ground knocked out. It was somewhat sad that the jaffa was knocked out so easy.

(end of flashback)

Soon after that Hayato came to the conclusion that his people were naturally stronger than all other humans in the galaxy. He might have know the jaffas strength if he had fought against them when his planet was first attacked, but he honestly couldn't care. he had grown sick of the constant battles in the first war. True he became an assassin, but that normally didn't include much battle. When the jaffa came to get him he had been in a small fishing village sitting in a chair. He'd seen the jaffa gathering people, and figured that if the people left then there'd be no reason to stay so he simply followed.

Ever since there spar Tranit became a regular sparring partner. The young jaffa at first were weary of someone who could beat their camp leader, but soon got over it.

In the second month Hayato remembered going out at night to train his body so that it would be back to its previous form when he was a shinobi for hire. It was the third night that a group of four jaffa had found him training in the woods, and asked what he was doing. When he explained that he was training they asked if they could join him in training.

At first the young jaffa failed to match his training standards, but he eventually decided to make a easier version for them. The training program was still far harder than what the regular jaffa would experience. The training consisted of improving the jaffas reflexes, and hand to hand combat skills. He had them running around the forest while he would keep up.

Eventually when he felt it was right he would swoop down from the trees, and attack forcing them to defend, but they also had to keep running. It forced the jaffa to learn how to dodge attacks, and also when needed they would block a attack. When they first started blocking Hayato would attack faster breaking their block, and hitting the jaffa. They learned to block only when needed, and when they did they learned to attack back quickly so that Hayato would back off. The running helped them build stamina. Hayato decided later to let the Jaffa use a Zat'nik'tel or a wood staff weapon so they could learn how to use weapons better in close range. It also helped him learn to fight against said weapons.

He continued the four jaffas training until last night. He knew that he would be leaving soon. His three months here was up. Hayato started walking through the camp answering jaffa greetings as he walked by them. Eventually he found himself in front of Tranits tent. It was the same color as last time. White. Going inside Hayato could see Tranit behind his table most likely trying to come up with a new training program. He seemed to like his ideas when it came to fighting.

"Tranit what are you doing?" Hayato said trying to get the head jaffas attention.

Hearing Hayato question Tranit looked up to answer, "I'm trying to make a new training schedule because your blasted kachee had to show up, and ruin my regular training plans." While Tranit wouldn't say it out loud he was happy to improve the Jaffas training. If they did well in the field it reflected well on him which would mean he'd begin having a high statice.

They talked about Tranits new training program for a while with Hayato giving his advice on certain subjects.

"You know Hayato Qutesh has decided that you are ready for the advance camp." Tranit said while relaxing in a sitting position. There was training plans scattered around them on tables, and a water skin on the table that had been passed back and forth.

"I was wondering when she would decide to advance me. Any idea when I should start packing to move?" Hayato asked while sitting across from Trant. "I should have told you sooner, but we began talking so I put it off. She wants you to move within the day." Tranit said a bit stiff because of his forgetfulness on Hayato's moving.

"Then I shall leave immediately after my few belongings are packed. Will I be having a escort to this new camp?" Hayato asked while standing to leave. "No you wont have a escort. Its part of their initiation. You have to find the advance camp through tracking. All I can tell you is that the camp is to the east of us toward the mountains, and i'm not even sure how far in that direction the camp is. Tranit answered while seeing Hayato leave the tent with just a nod.

As Tranit watched Hayato leave he had to wonder what had happened to him, and his camp. Everything was going normal intel that man showed up, and changed everything. Maybe he was his goddess true messenger bring a sign that things were changing. He could almost feel it in his bones. The man that had just left his tent would bring change like none other.

Hayato jumped through the trees while searching for the other camp. He'd already said his goodbyes to the jaffa that trained with him the most. He had a feeling that he would see them again. Whether that was as allies or enemies was still to be decided.

He had no doubt in his mind that after he learned everything from Qutesh that he could, and when he found no more use for he would set out on his own. That was another thing to be decided. Should he act as a goa'uld, or become a bounty hunter that served under the different goa'uld? It was a hard decision that was a long time away for now.

Hayato jumped down from the tree he had just been on. On the ground were animal tracks which means he'd just found dinner for the night. Following the tracks Hayato was lead toward a cave. Tracks were for a medium size animal.

The jaffa called them ferti. Ferti were about the size of his worlds dogs. They walked on four legs, and had a fluffy tail. What actually made them different from dogs was the ferti eyes, tongue, and claws. Ferti eyes were always white, and very sensitive to light to the point the bleed while in sunlight which made them nocturnal animals. The Ferti tongues were like frogs when they caught bugs. A ferti tongue was four feet long, and strong enough to pull a jaffa of his feet. Lastly was the ferti claws which were made for climbing up rocky surfaces.

Luckily ferti weren't pack animals. Ferti actually cannibalized themselves if they were the same gender.

Walking into the cave Hayato pulled out his only weapon. A hunting knife. It was actually the only thing he took with him. He didn't even bother grabbing his spare clothes. Jaffa as a group didn't seem to have even thought of inventing a pack to carry their belongings in. The cave was dark, but his training at night had payed off.

It was surprising really. This cave seemed to go on for quite a ways, and the ferti seemed to have retreated farther than he expected. While walking Hayato could swear that he was hearing a low humming sound. He kept walking until he arrived in a fair sized chamber. To one side was the ferti resting. If there was one thing he thanked being a shinobi for was the quietness of his foot steps. If you were heard you were guaranteed a harder battle then what was needed; just like now.

Hayato still remember his training, and started looking around his surroundings to get all the facts. Across the room there was some sort of device attached to the wall with two circular devices below the device, and there was a consul in the middle of the room. It was in a hexagonal form.

Hayato decided to mess with the device later for now he still had a ferti to kill and cook. Turning around Hayato came to the site for the ferti standing, and looking at him like its next meal.

Hayato was shocked, that cost him as the ferti tongue flew out of its mouth, and pulled the knife out of his hand. seeing no real option he rushed forward, and jumped over the beast. He planned to land on the fertis back, but the beast turned around while rising on its hind legs so it could swipe across his face. Hayato fell back, and the ferti rushed him. it pounced forward. Hayato reacted by bring his feet up so he could kick up. It worked, and the ferti went flying across the room.

Hayato rushed toward the knife that was on the ground were the ferti used to be. Picking the knife up Hayato looked toward the beast. It seemed to have hit the wall fairly hard, and was just regaining its senses. Hayato used this to his advantage by jumping to the ceiling. From there he used the gravity to help him fall toward the beast that was still looking for him on the ground.

Hayato landed on the fertis back, and plunged knife into the beast head killing it instantly.

looking down at the beast Hayato watched as the fertis blood came from the beast head. it was surprisingly yellow. Signing Hayato began walking toward the device on the wall. Then the adrenaline in his body left him which lead to him feeling the pain from the claw marks on his face. Groaning Hayato stumbled forward. raising his hands to steady himself on the wall he looked up, and right into the device.
