Evangeline followed Hannibal into the kitchen as the rest stayed in the dinning room.
She closed the door behind them, quickly drowning the mild chatter and clanging glasses.
Hannibal looked up from the sink. She greeted him with a simple question.
"Male or Female?"
He frowned.
"I'm sorry, what?"
Evangeline slowly made her way to the cooking island where she took her seat. She ran her hands over the dark surface. It was pristine. In her other hand she held her wine glass.
"I said. Male or Female? I found females typically suit my palate. What is your preference Hannibal?"
She crossed her legs and leaned forward on her hands. She saw him stop and slowly put the plate in a dish rack. He folded the dish towel and placed it next to the sink.
She caught a glimpse of a rather faint smile on his lips. Evangeline watched as he came to the island.
"Miss Moors, am I assuming what your asking me correctly?" His dark eyes stared her down.
"If your assuming that I am asking if you like your humans female or male. Then yes. You would."
He smiled at her, his teeth on display.
" I haven't found a difference truthfully. Have you?"
She shrugged. She brought her glass to her mouth, inhaling deeply she took a drink before speaking.
"A slight one. The muscle tissue I believe, the males tend to taste more gamey. But it depends on who you get."
"Indeed it does. "
Evangeline returned sometime later to retrieve Will. He was in a drunken stupor as he laughed with Jack.
She bid everyone a farewell as she led him to the car. She pulled his keys from his pocket and unlocked the car. Evangeline put him inside buckling his seat belt.
She walked for the drivers side and started the car.
She pulled up to her house as she didn't know Will's and he was far too inebriated to drive.
She walked around the car unlocking it and helping her friend out.
He slung his arm over her shoulder as she helped him up the steps.
She unlocked her door and he began to talk.
"You know you are verrryy. Pretty." He said as she flipped on the light switch.
" Thank you William. Time for bed. "
"I don't feel like going to sleep, unless someone is with me."
She rolled her eyes and helped the man into her guest bedroom he flopped on the bed giggling.
She sighed and turned out the light.
She woke up with the sound of a shout. She flipped off her covers and walked to Will's room. He had sat up straight, he was shaking and sweating.
"Are you alright?" She turned on the light.
He sat the corner of his bed rubbing his eyes. "No, no I'm not."
She bit her lip. She gently sat down on the corner of the bed.
"Nightmares?"
"You could say that."
