I really should be writing for my other story, but I'm at a writer's block (so this is what it feels likeā€¦). Here's a new story that won't leave my mind if I don't write it. This is my first story that has a lot of action. I feel like it can use some more work, but anyways, I'm out of school because of snow and I kinda lost power earlier this morning so I had time to write. The next chapter may or may not come any time soon. We'll just have to see. Thank you for reading~!

Bound

Ch. 1 A New Mission

The sound of running footsteps echoed through the abandoned building. A large man huffed his way to the exit door to escape from his pursuers. They may have thought they had cornered him, but he had an escape plan from the beginning. Just as planned, his cell phone rang.

"Are you there yet!?" The man yelled into the phone to the caller.

"Yes boss, we have men waiting at a car around the corner. They won't be able to catch up to you."

"Ha! They thought they were smarter than me. They're nothing but a bunch of idiots." He ended the call. Just a little more and he can escape from this chase. The fat man smirked. No one can out smart him; he is after all one of the best drug dealers out there.

"There he is! After him!" A group of black clothed men chased after him. On the back of their uniforms were white capitals letters that read POLICE.

"Shindo Gen! You have no place to hide! Stop running and turn yourself in!" One of the officers yelled after him.

Out of nowhere a metal can was thrown from the top of the building; it was a smoke grenade. Men in black suits appeared out of nowhere and began firing at the police squad. Gen made his way around the corner and smirked. As reported, his getaway car was there waiting for him. Bodyguards surround the car as he slowed down to catch his breath and walked up to the car.

"Sir, we should leave as soon as possible." One of the bodyguards spoke to Gen, only to receive a smack in the face.

"I know that! Why couldn't you useless people choose a closer place?!" Gen huffed as he wiped sweat from his face.

"You know, for someone fat like you I thought you would have been caught by now." A man with blond hair who looked no older than 25 years old bluntly spoke his mind.

"What was that!? Who is this kid!?"

"Oh, don't mind me." The bodyguard took off his shades, revealing blue eyes like a clear autumn sky. "I'm just here to do my job."

"Well then stop talking and do what you're supposed to." Gen was getting irritated with the so called bodyguard and was about to get in the car until the blonde man closed the door.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? I DON'T HAVE TIME TO WASTE ON TRASH LIKE YOU!" Gen was furious at this point, but earned a chuckle instead.

"I told you didn't I? I'm doing my job." He playfully replied to the raging man in front of him. "My job...is to capture you."

"WHAT!?" Gen was taken aback by the statement. He looked at the other bodyguards who stood there dumbstruck by what their colleague had said. "WHAT ARE YOU STANDING THERE FOR!? GET RID OF HIM!"

The other bodyguards got into position and surrounded the mysterious man. He didn't make a move; instead he just stood there as if he looked like he could take them all. That was until they all pulled out their guns.

"HA! NOT SO-" One by one Gen's bodyguards fell to the ground. Gen stood there scared for his life. There was no way the man in front of him was doing all of this. Blood seeped from their bodies as they laid on the ground like lifeless dolls. Gen was shaking in his sweaty suit uncontrollably and fell to his knees.

"W-wait. P-please don't kill me. I'll give you whatever you want. J-just let me go."

"Well then I want you to come w-" A gun was pointed at the young man's face and he immediately stopped all movement.

"Did you really think I would let myself get capture so easily?" He spitted his words at the person in front of him.

"Of course not." The blonde sighed.

"Ha. Of course- wait what?" with those last words Gen was knock out from behind. Another man with red hair, no older than 20, was standing behind him.

"You know you could have taken him yourself." The redhead bluntly stated the comment at his comrade with unamused amethyst eyes.

"Aw~ what fun would that be for you?" The blonde gave his friend a smirk and pressed a finger against his ear.

"This is Soldier 01; the target has been captured."

"Roger that. Bring him in and the three of you can return back to HQ."

"Yes sir. Solider 02 did you hear that?" The blonde replied back and helped the redhead carry the unconscious fat man into their car.

"Loud and clear. I'll be there in a bit. Solider 02 out."

After dropping off Shindo Gen they arrived back at HQ. Hoping that they could finally get some rest they made their way to the 25th floor of the building.

"Well, now that that's done maybe we can get some actual rest." The blonde stretched his arms as the trio listened to elevator music.

"Knowing the commander, he might have something for us though." The redhead replied while playing with his bangs.

"Thanks for popping my bubble. Geez, can't you be honest and just say you want a break too." Blue eyes eyed the red bundle of hair that stood beside him.

"Hey, I never said anything about not wanting one!" He tried to retaliate his blonde friend only to be stopped by a certain blue hair.

"That's enough you two. We're almost there." Amber eyes gave the two a warning before they made their appearance their commander.

"As calm and collected as ever." The blonde gave the younger man a teasing look before they stepped off the elevator. They made their way to the front desk to be greeted by their commander's secretary.

"Good work you three; I'll let the commander know you're all here." She gave them a warm smile and phoned the man they were to meet.

"Thank you Saori-san." The navy haired man returned the smile and waited patiently.

"You can go in now." She put the phone down and lead the three men to the office.

"I'll bring in some tea in a bit." The secretary closed the door behind the three and they were left facing the man known as 'the commander'.

Izumi Jin. He had dark brown eyes that could kill, that is, if looks could kill. His hair was slowly becoming more like salt and pepper, showing that he was much older than the youngsters. He gestured the three to take and seat.

They saluted the man and sat down on the couches making themselves comfortable. If others were to see them right now, they would have shocked faces seeing the way they acted in front of their superior. But the commander didn't mind them one bit, after all he has known the three ever since they were young.

"Congratulations for the successful mission. As expected, I can always count on the three of you."

"Of course. We were trained by the best you know." The redhead responded only to receive a jab in the side by the blonde.

"Haha, I'm glad to hear that my years of training you didn't going in vain." The older man smiled at the young men sitting in front of him. Closing his eyes he could look at the past when they were still children as if it was yesterday.

"Masaki, the police department would like to thank you for getting their squad out of that difficult situation. Eiichi, you did a good job being an undercover bodyguard for Gen. I'm glad your both okay." The two nodded at the compliments and gave each other smiles.

"Oh yeah, hey Ushio, thanks for saving me back there. Your sniper skills never cease to amaze me. Where were you?" The bluenette gave his blonde friend a small shrug and immediately became completely serious.

"I hate to ruin our little reunion, but, Commander Izumi I know you didn't ask us to come here if you didn't need us for a mission." All faces turned towards the blue haired man who was calmly staring back.

"Hey-" The commander held up a hand to stop the blonde from speaking.

"As expected, always quick to the point. I can never hide anything from you." The commander's words earned a small smile from the blue haired person. With all small talk out of the way, the atmosphere in the office became serious. "I need you three on a mission."

"So who's our target this time?" The redhead asked.

"Targets not target. And you won't be hunting anyone, you'll be guarding them." The words took the three men by surprise. Sure, they were used to going after, capturing, and sometimes killing their targets, but this was going to be their first time protecting someone.

"Wait, so let me get this straight, you want 'us' to protect someone, to be more exact, more than one person." The blonde was trying to process everything together without losing his composure.

"Yes, but you will each have a different person to protect. Don't worry though, they are close friends and you'll be able to stay in contact with each other if you ever need help."

"But...why us? We never had a mission like this before, so why do you feel that we are best for it." Amber eyes locked onto dark brown, a staring contest that was waiting for the opponent to blink.

"Because I trust you three more than anyone else. They are important to our cause and can make a difference to the world we live in." The all three boys nodded their heads in response and ceased to ask any more questions.

"We have been asked to use the best soldiers we have to protect these people. They are all important heirs that will take over after their parents that actually mean well for the country and also helps us when it comes to financial needs." The aging man began explaining to the three. "They are being targeted by other dirty businesses for that sole reason. Your job is to stay close and make sure that they will receive no harm. They know that they are going to be having bodyguards so there is no need to use a false name."

"Here is the information about your target." Saori-san each handed them a folder. "Make sure to learn about them so you'll know what to do if you're ever put in a difficult situation."

"Ayase Eiichi. Sonoda Ushio. Nishikino Masaki." The commander looked at the now grown up boys who once gave up on life. "You are to protect them with your life at all cost. Am I understood?"

"Yes sir!" All three stood up from their seats and saluted their commander.

"Good. You are to meet them tomorrow, so get prepared."

They left the office to return back and get some rest along with getting prepared for their next mission. The commander and his secretary were left in the office to discuss further businesses.

"...They really have grown, haven't they?"

"Commander Izumi...you really care for them don't you?"

"What makes you think that Saori."

"You went through a lot of trouble to try and let them have a regular life. And by the looks of it, your face looks like a father who just sent his sons off to school." Commander Izumi chuckled at her statement for it is true. He wanted them to try and live a normal life, because he never had that chance. He raised the three like his own flesh and blood.

Ayase Eiichi, leader of the special squad Soldiers, was the oldest of the three. He is highly skilled with blades and hand to hand combat. He was born with a quarter of Russian blood running through his veins.

Nishikino Masaki, youngest member of the trio, but can match up with the other two. Has a vast knowledge on first-aid and is skilled with weapons.

Last, but not least, Sonoda Ushio. The second eldest and most level-headed of the three. Highly skilled in hand to hand combat and all weapons (particularly long distance).

They all had a past they wished to forget. They all have a reason to fight. The commander internally sighed.

With this they can hopefully get to their goals. I don't want to see any more blood on their hands.

So tell me what you think. I would like to know. I also had a big debate in my mind on which genderbent name I should use for Umi. It was between Ushio and Umito.

Until next time~
