Chapter 1:

The Grand Magic Games, a famous competition that pitted Fiore's greatest guilds against one another had finally come to a close. This year's games were by far the most eventful in the history of Crocus, thanks to the unexpected arrival of a legion of dragons that came close to reducing the capital to cindering ashes. Thanks to the courageous efforts of the top guilds in the competition, they were able to save not only the capital but most likely the entire kingdom of Fiore.

The citizens hailed the mages as hero's weeks after the Eclipse project had ended, and were especially thankful to the efforts of Fairy Tail, who took the entire audience by shock as they climbed through the ranks to win the tournament. As they returned home, they held their heads high and screamed in celebration as their new guild building was the final piece that was needed to signal to the world that Fairy Tail was back in business.

Fairy Tail's victory didn't just change the opinions and views of their now adoring fans; it also morphed the former strongest guild Sabertooth into a guild that no longer valued power over bonds and trust. Ever since their defeat and the removal of Jiemma, Sting Eucliffe took it upon himself as the new master to shape his new guild into a family like Fairy Tail.

With a new outlook on life along with his best friend Rogue Cheney, let us join Sting and his adventures as the new guild master of Sabertooth and what troubles await him.

Near the south coast of the kingdom of Fiore laid Sabertooth's Guild building that was currently swamped with mages left and right. It was no big secret that the guild was well recieved by the citizens in town, and with Jiemma's leave of absence along with his daughter Minerva, Sabertooth's popularity had somehow sky rocketed despite their loss.

Mages who were too afraid of the father daughter duo were now actively trying to join the guild along with several other mages that admired the twin dragons, the memory make wizard, the lightning god slayer, and even their celestial spirit mage.

Unfortunately, the mages didn't get the chance to speak with any of their idols as the entrance of the guild hall was closed and a sign attached to the front read:

"We're busy so come back later, kay?" signed the guild master of Sabertooth, Sting Eucliffe.

Disappointed groans and murmurs were heard across the group of people who decided to come back at a later time.

"I wonder what they're doing in there?" a young mage whispered as he took one more glance at the guild building before leaving.

Standing face to face against one another were Sting and Rogue, both of them glaring intensely at the other from the opposite sides of the room. The members of the guild watched the two of them in awe from the second level of the guild building.

Lector and Frosch were standing next to Yukino, Orga, and Rufus and were too busy staring at their life long best friends to do any cheering.

Sting and Rogue simultaneously opened their eyes and threw their heads back as they began to recite their signature moves.

"Hakuryū no..." Sting began as white particles began to form around his mouth.

"Eiryū no..." Rogue followed Sting's lead and a tunnel of dark clouds gathered in his mouth.

"Hōkō!" In a swift motion, the two dragon slayers fired off their respective dragon roars in succession. The resulting clash created a shockwave that shook the entire area to its core and startled the spectators present.

After the dust had cleared, Rogue dropped onto on knee while panting heavily while Sting was still standing strong but looked somewhat exhausted.

A toothy grin was plastered on his face as he wiped the sweat off of his forehead.

"Not bad, Rogue"

Rogue raised his head to meet his friend's gaze and gave him a small smile.

"It seems you're still the more dominant one between us, Sting"

Before he could use his own strength to stand, Sting appeared right before him and offered a hand along with a warm smile. Rogue took his hand and the two crossed arms as their guild mates clapped at the amazing spectacle.

Sting felt so relaxed as the stream of hot water washed his entire body while he stood in the shower stall, along with Rogue who was right next to him.

"Ah~ don't you just love the feeling of water after a nice work out?" The White dragon slayer said to no one in particular.

"Mhm" Rogue silently agreed.

"Building that sparring arena was the best thing I ever came up with, well other than the pool"

"Mhm" Rogue responded once again.

Sting looked at his friend and even though Rogue didn't express the same enthusiasm, his relaxed facial expression was all Sting needed to see to confirm that.

"...Sting" Rogue suddenly said.

"Hm?"

Rogue's facial expression changed into a more serious one as he seemed to be distraught about something.

Now it was Sting's turn to take the conversation more seriously as he held a blank face at his comrade. "What's on your mind?"

"Do...Do you ever think we'll be as strong as them?"

Sting looked puzzled by the question, mainly because he didn't know who he was talking about.

"Them?"

"Gajeel and Natsu-san" He stated as in a nonchalant voice.

The usually unnerved Sting winced for an instant when he heard the names of his idols and he drew his attention to the ceiling, picturing their faces while lost in thought. Despite first initially believing that he and Rogue were in a class of their own and had surpassed their former "heroes", he still couldn't believe how powerful they actually were and how easily one of them had schooled them.

While Gajeel was definitely no weakling and was comparable to Natsu in strength, Sting admired Natsu to a much higher degree for more personal reasons. Ever since he was but a small child, Sting looked up to the fearsome fire dragon slayer and news of his exploits from the famous Fairy Tail guild. For someone like Sting who was already different enough from normal kids as it was, Natsu who was also a dragon slayer inspired him to hone his own skills and gain a reputation like him.

After what had happened during the invasion, Sting was eternally grateful that Natsu along with his guild had forgiven Sabertooth for their wrong doings and he now wanted to strengthen the relationship between them, as fellow dragon slayers. In fact, if it wasn't for his bond and ties with Sabertooth and Lector, Sting might have even considered asking to join but those were past thoughts.

He was now a guild master, of one of the strongest guilds in Fiore no less. He had to set an example and follow in the foot steps of Natsu who while may not have been a guild master, was easily the most iconic member of Fairy Tail.

"Sting?"

Snapping out of his thoughts, Sting had a baffled look on his face as Rogue gave him a curious stare.

"Are you day dreaming about Natsu-san again?"

"Mind your own business!" He retorted.

"You still haven't answered my question though..."

Sting crossed his arms and clicked his teeth.

"Yea I know, and all I have to say is that if Natsu-san can be that powerful, then I don't see why we couldn't do the same"

"I'd like to believe that but after finding out that it was my future self that did those despicable things... I want to become strong with my own power and protect my friends"

Rogue gave Sting a determined look that Sting hadn't seen in ages. Sting returned his glare with a confident grin of his own and raised a clenched fist.

"Your damn right, we're going to protect Sabertooth"

With that, the two of them finished their showers and put on their clothes while making their way to the guild hall.

"Sting-kun!"

"Rogue!"

The voices of their cat companions beckoned as Sting bent down to high five Lector while Rogue reached a hand out and placed Frosch on his shoulders.

"What's up, Lector?" Sting asked his furry friend.

Lector had a smug grin on his face as he placed his hands on his hips.

"You were impressive as always Sting-kun, that dragon's roar was amazing!"

Sting lightly blushed at Lector's praise and scratched the back of his head.

"Heh, it was nothing. Rogue's was pretty strong too" Sting admitted as he turned to face his friend which caused Rogue to give him a sympathetic smile.

"Stop flattering me, we both know that your's was-"

"Fro thinks so too!"

Rogue's attempt at modesty was cut short as his cat dressed as a frog companion agreed with Sting. The shadow dragon slayer couldn't helped but be touched by Frosch's words of encouragement and comical tears ran down his face.

"Frosch... you're too good to me!"

Sting and Lector laughed awkwardly as Rogue continued to cry into his sleeve. Frosch was the only person who could cause such a reaction from the usually distant Rogue.

"So, what's the agenda for today Master?" Lector questioned.

Sting stood straight and looked around the guild hall, analyzing all of the members of his guild. Most of them he knew, while a few of them were new to him and had joined literally days after the Grand Magic Games.

"Hm, maybe I should get to know them more?"

"Sting, most of them already know you after we hosted that banquet a week ago" Rogue reminded him.

As if a light bulb had gone off in his head, Sting had an "Oh yea" face on while he started walking along the hall.

"Shit, so what exactly is there to do?" Sting contemplated. He was new to the position of master and wasn't exactly sure on what kind of things a master did, other than supervise the guild and go to the boring guild meetings.

"What about we go outside and play?" Lector happily skipped across the hall as Sting gave him a grin.

"Yes! That sounds fun, right guys?" He turned to Rogue and Frosch who seemed to agree on the idea.

"Fro thinks so too!"

"If Frosch is going, then I don't have a choice in the matter" Rogue stated.

"That's more like it!" Sting smiled happily as the four of them had now passed Saber's request board. Standing in front of said board, Yukino had her eyes fixated on a certain request but was struggling to take it.

"Hey Yukino!"

Sting's sudden greeting took Yukino by surprise and she stumbled back a bit.

"Please don't scare me like that Sting-sama"

"Ah, my bad Yukino. I didn't mean to startle you, so what are you doing?" Sting asked.

"I'm... I'm having trouble taking this request"

Sting looked confused by her statement and along with Rogue, Lector, and Frosch, turned to examine the request that their friend wasn't sure about. From the looks of it, it looked like a simple mission that gave a decent reward for completion. The request was asking for a group of mages to help organize a "Grand Performance" that was taking place a few days from now.

The White dragon slayer failed to see what the big deal was. "What's so special about this request?"

Yukino walked next to Sting and pointed her finger down to the bottom of the paper that had "Special Notes" labelled on it.

Rogue decided to speak up and squinted his eyes to read the small font.

"It would be greatly appreciated if we could have a few Celestial Spirit Mages come to help the performance, thank you very much" Rogue read as Yukino sighed after he finished reading.

"But what's the problem Yukino, your a Celestial Spirit Mage right?" Lector inquired.

Yukino nodded. "Yes Lector-sama, but the request asks for several and the only other Celestial Spirit Mage I know of is Lucy-sama"

Sting eyed Yukino curiously. "Lucy? Oh! You mean that blonde haired girl from Fairy Tail, right?"

"Yes..."

"Is there a reason why you can't ask her?" Rogue asked.

Yukino looked at the ground and gave a forced smile. "I owe Lucy-sama and Fairy Tail so much, I don't want to impose on her"

"Yukino..." Rogue whispered.

Suddenly, Sting placed his arm on Yukino's shoulder which startled her again and stared deeply into her eyes.

"What happened at the Grand Magic Games is in the past, we're friends with Fairy Tail now and as friends, I think it's alright to impose on each other"

Yukino was taken back by Sting's courageous and inspiring words and gave him a true smile out of happiness.

"I understand. Thank you, Sting-sama"

Sting repaid her smile with one of his own.

"I should be saying that to you Yukino. I just stood by and let you get humiliated by our asshole of a guild master and I'm grateful you let me have a second chance."

"D-Don't worry about it Sting-sama, I've already forgotten about it"

Sting let go of Yukino's shoulder and swiped the piece of paper off of the board and handed it over to her.

"Then let's get going!"

Yukino grabbed the piece of paper out of his hand and smiled. "O-okay!"

Sting thrust his arms into the air and shouted with all of his might.

"We're going to Fairy Tail!"

Rogue grabbed his mouth and comically stretched it.

"Quit yelling, your scaring the new recruits" He reprimanded.

Lector and Yukino laughed while Frosch started dancing happily at the antics of their dragon slayers.

With their destination now set, the Saber gang prepared their supplies and were ready to head to Fairy Tail.

A/N: Welp, that's all folks. How'd ya like the first chapter featuring Sting as our main protagonist along with Rogue and Yukino. I've always loved the chemistry between the Saber group and now we're going to see them interact with our favorite mages of Fairy Tail.
