The first years had just left the first potions class. Most were highly disappointed, some were upset. Harry couldn't understand. How could Snape be allowed near other people let alone children.
Harry said. "I would Fire him, if it was up to me he would be thrown out and banned from the grounds." He continued after a pause. "Of course if it were up to me Any corridor that could lead to gruesome death wouldnt be off limits, it shouldnt be allowed... At the very least the headmaster should be present before anyone can even reach it. i mean this is a school of magic. I would assume they could do that."
Harry and the others completely missed the sight of Severus Snape flying through the halls, across the grounds, and past the gate. Landing roughly in a puddle of mud he found himself unable to return. Snape stormed to the Three Broomsticks. Only to discover the floo to his quarters, and office blocked. When he tried to floo the headmasters office it connected, but only for a call.
No matter what he tried to do. The headmaster couldn't convince to castle to allow his precious potion professor back on the grounds.
After two days of research the Headmaster finally found the problem.
"Hello young Harry, Lemon drop.." He gestured to the bowl on his desk.
"No thank you, sir." Replied a nervous Harry.
"Do you know why I asked you here?"
"No sir." Harry was looking anywhere but the ancient headmaster, when a ball of flames burst into the room. A bird of red and gold sang a song that brought courage and joy to his heart..
"You must be the Fawkes." Harry said suddenly, with a smile..
"Hedwig said there is a flaming bird that kept trying to get her to nest. Just between us, I think shes playing hard to get." Harry winked.
"You speak with your owl Harry?" The headmaster wanted to get the focus back on him.
"Doesn't everyone? You speak to Fawkes don't you?" Harry asked.
"Well yes, but he doesn't answer back." The old man replied. At the same time Fawkes squawked, chirped, and ruffled his feathers.
"Really?" He asked Fawkes incredulously. "He says you don't listen." Harry scratched Fawkes back.
"I've been saying that for years.." The Sorting Hat butted in. "Old fart has it in his head he knows best and won't listen to good advice." It continued.
"Yes well. Back to why I called you here Mister Potter." The headmaster/ old fart in question changed the subject. "Somehow, a few days ago. Our potion master was expelled from the school property, and is unable to return. In the course of my investigation I found in the schools record that you expelled him and banned him from the grounds."
Harry was shocked. "I did that?"
"Yes Harry, You did. I would like you to allow him to return. After all we need our potions Professor to teach."
Dumbledor was happy things were back on track.
"But, from what I've seen and heard he didn't teach. He just insults people, then puts the directions on the board. He then walks around the room insulting people more. He would never be allowed to teach in a normal school." Harry frowned at the thought. "Maybe you should find someone who can teach instead. I was really looking forward to potions and defense. I mean in the short time I've been here I can already tell potions, defense, and history are a bust. Just because of the teachers. There are a lot of student who say Snape is evil, dark, some even said he was a supporter of you know who."
" I would trust Professor Snape with my life Harry." said Dumbledor firmly
Harry looked at Dumbledor and said just as firmly. " Ahh well, In that case. I now pronounce husband and wife. You can track him down and trust him all you like, but If its my choice I would rather lose you as a headmaster than put up with Snape ever again... So if its up to me, find someone else to teach potions and while you're at it do something about history and defense."
Harry turned and left a shocked headmaster behind his Headmaster's shock was only deepened by the owl bringing the official notice of his marriage and congratulations from the ministry and Gringots.
Albus Dumbledor was perplexed. He hadnt even remembered to ask why he had to be present when fluffy was fed in the third floor corridor.
Meanwhile Severus Snape was busy trying to flee the country. He always knew the Old Fart had taken an unhealthy intrest in him.
