I'm new to this site, and this is my first attempt at writing a fan-fiction. I would appreciate some comments and feedback on the writing.

I like the mixed pairing concept (especially brickercup ^_^). I haven't watched powerpuff z, so my story is based on the original american series only.

This story might turn out to be long, but I don't know yet. I'm just going with the flow as of now.

Hope you enjoy it though!

Prologue

High school had started to take its toll on the girls. Everything had been so easy before. It seemed like only yesterday when they were juggling homework and fighting crime, managing both effortlessly. There wasn't a lot of pressure back then, and beating up the bad guys had been an important part of their daily routine.

Now; however, things were different. Blossom was in the science club, and all her fellow classmates looked up to her. Her academics had to be the best, and maintaining her good records was of utmost importance. Bubbles had enrolled in the art club, where she had to constantly keep working hard to produce something beautiful, as was expected of her. As for buttercup, well the high school swimming team kept her on her toes—or floating on her belly—since she was their best bet for winning the championship.

Not that they didn't enjoy all this, obviously they had joined their respective clubs because it was their chance to finally live their own separate lives. But all of this, along with trying to save Townsville from the "super villain of the week" was becoming way too much for them to handle. After all, they were only teenagers! Sure, they had super powers, but that didn't stop them from being walking and flying bodies of hormones! They were prone to getting crabby too. Why, only last week, the usually cheerful Bubbles was heard yelling at some classmate over the phone. When the professor asked her what was wrong, she replied with a grumpy, "Nothing!" and slammed the door of her bedroom shut. Nonplussed, the professor had to glance at the other two with a quizzical expression on his face, and ask them if they knew what was bothering her. The older girls shrugged, implying that what went on with her life was as much a mystery to them as it was to him.

Another thing which the girls could no longer deny, thanks to their building hormones, was their increasing attraction towards the opposite sex. Now, everyone around them had started out a lot earlier. Most of their friends had been on the dating scene for a long time. But the Powerpuffs simply couldn't afford to date. For one thing, their schedules were too busy to include guys in their lives. But the other, and the more important reason that they hated to admit, was that the boys in their school were intimidated by them. They never acted like it, but the girls could feel it nonetheless. Last year, during the Halloween dance, they had to act as volunteers instead of enjoying themselves like everyone else had been. Blossom had turned her nose up, declaring that it was her responsibility to see to it that the event was a success and everything was running smoothly. She never admitted to anyone that she had been secretly hoping for someone to ask her to the dance. The other two had been equally disappointed, and had hidden behind the we-have-more-important-things-to-worry-about excuse. Even Buttercup, who everyone regarded a complete tomboy, had been itching to dance with someone. All those students had looked so happy, giggling at each other and playfully hugging their partners. She couldn't help but feel a bit alone.

Yes, it was safe to say that the girls were missing out on a lot. They expected that their entire high school life was doomed to pass in this manner, without even a shred of excitement.

Which is exactly why they weren't at all prepared for the whirlwind that took place, when a certain teenaged trio, transferred to their school the following week.
