Disclaimer: I do not own Kuroko no Basket or the character.
Summary: As we all know, Teiko Middle School is a prestigious school, so why does Kuroko even went there? What if Kuroko's true purpose is to actually get revenge on the Kiseki no Sedai aka Generation of Miracles? But with his revenge failed, he planned to try again in Seirin High School.
Authors Note: This does not happen in the anime or manga. I know I am incapable of creating three stories at once but ehem, first, I'm trying to test my limits. So don't be surprised if created another story after this. Second, I can't wait to share this idea with you! First part is Kuroko's first person POV. And it was probably KagaKuro but well. Not decided yet.
Warning: Major ooc especially Kuroko. Cold/strong Kuroko. Unbetaed/English error.
CHAPTER One
Kuroko's POV
"I'm sorry, Tetsuya."
Was the last word that person said before he left me.
It was that person's fault, it was my fault but out of all, it was their fault.
I've planned a revenge on them.
First, I always wore a poker face. To never show them my true intention. To never show positive AND negative emotions. Those are unnecessary. They are just a burden.
Enter Teiko Middle School using connections, done and succeeded.
Join Basketball, done and succeeded.
Know them, done and succeeded.
Got close to one of them, done and succeeded.
Being part of them, done and succeeded.
Revenge, failed.
But one thing I did not expect was to love basketball again.
When I was close to love basketball and forget the revenge, I hated it once again.
.
Kuroko was standing in front of Seirin High School's gate. Students slowly walked in since there is still time. He looked at the building with an unreadable expression.
He sighed as he went through the gate. The scenery changed to a crowded and noisy area. Many students were shouting for the freshmen to join their club. It was a tradition for their school that from the very first day, clubs will try to get people to join their groups. It was so that the first day can be fun and freshmen can learn more about the school via clubs. It… kind of does not have logic but well… it worked. Sometimes.
Using his handy misdirection skill, he skilfully ducked the different hands sticking out trying to hand out flyers. He already knew what he was joining.
He just looked at the map and walked to the direction.
Without being noticed, he silently took a piece of form and started fill it in.
Name: Kuroko Tetsuya
Middle School: Teiko
Goals: Bring my 'friends' back. (It was written in a very not detailed way for a reason.)
He then put in on the table and left. Even though, it was an act. It disgusted him to think of them as friends and thus added two unnoticeable bunny ears at the side of the word 'friends'.
.
"Alright. Everyone seems to be here. All the freshmen come this way." A voice said across the gym.
"Hey, isn't that manager cute?" A freshman whispered to his friend.
"She's a second year, right?" His friend said.
"But that's true! If she was just a bit more sexy…" Another said.
"You're wrong, idiots." Hyuuga said as he hit them.
"I'm the boy basketball club's coach." She introduced herself ignoring the visible shocks at their face. "Aida Riko. Nice to meet you!"
"Eeeh? Coach?" They all said in unison.
'If she can helped us win, I don't really care if she is a man or woman, old or young.' Kuroko thought as he looked at them.
"It wasn't that guy?" One asked pointing to an older man sitting at the side.
"That's the advisor, Takeda sensei."
"Seriously?! Wait, is that even allowed?"
But before they can finish their line, Riko shouted.
"Well then, first. Take off your shirts!" She said receiving a loudest 'EHH' from them except for the two.
But well, in the end they did took off their shirts and well she walked past each of them and told them their weakness and strength plus what they should improve.
And she reached to the assuming last person, Kagami Taiga.
Even without superior eye like Riko's, Kuroko with observant eye can tell that Kagami Taiga was an unusual person.
'If he is strong, he can help me to defeat the Kiseki no Sedai*.'
Kuroko uncharacteristically smirked. Smirk, is a very different thing from a smile. Even if these two means tilted the lips upward. They mean different thing. Smile? Kuroko had long forgotten how to even smile.
After snapping off her daydreaming, Riko called out, "Was Kuroko kun here-"
Before she even finished the sentence, Kuroko walked towards her while adjusting his presence.
"I am Kuroko."
After a few blinks, Riko started screaming as she saw Kuroko.
"Eh? Then that means this guy?! From the Kiseki no Sedai-" Izuki shouted
'Again with the Kiseki no Sedai?'
To be honest, Kuroko really hated that name.
"No. Please don't clump me with them" He said coldly which slightly shock the rest.
But quickly change to his blank tone before anyone can question him, "I had played in matches in Teiko."
"Wait. Take off your shirt!" Riko ordered.
Kuroko silently sighed as he did what he was told.
…
It was unreadable. Riko cannot see the numbers. It was like how a body looked to a person with normal eyes. No numbers or what, nothing at all. Well surely, if you just look at the appearance, he looked like a weak kid but nonetheless; this kid here was from that Teiko and had played in matches. Never judge a book by its cover.
"Eh?" She narrowed her eyes trying to focus but still nothing came out.
"Yes?"Kuroko asked.
"N-nothing. You can put back your clothes." She said nervously as she was trying to think what happened.
.
Kuroko sighed. He did not really enjoy the practice that much. Well, I doubt anyone will if you are constantly being stared or more like glared by certain someone. (Riko)
Even though Riko did not say anything, Kuroko know that it was probably because his stats were unreadable. Not that he did something but it was something that he does not need to do. His strength was unmeasurable. It depends on him afterall.
Kuroko Tetsuya, the person that was capable of 'borrowing' strength from others but most often his teammates. But even without the help of his teammates, of course Kuroko is still strong. It is just with them, it can bring his potential to the fullest. He WAS part of the Kiseki no Sedai afterall, as much as he hated the name.
In another words, strong or very strong depends on his surroundings such as his teammates. But he can also do the opposite. Which is lending his strength but this was something he SWORE not to use it. Why use? For something called teamwork? What is teamwork anyway?
However, none of the Kiseki no Sedai know anything about this. This style. His basketball style was just created right after the last match in Middle School. He trained day to night trying to find a style that fits him the most. A style that can show his hatred the most. Both towards the Kisekis AND basketball.
He was busy thinking as he saw Kagami Taiga with a whole tray of burgers walking to his seats.
He… was pretty sure he has disabled his misdirection in order to prevent this kind of things from happening. Ahhh. It was not Kuroko's fault.
Kagami was busy thinking about something Kuroko don't know as he was not a psychic.
"Hello." He said making his presence knowned to the other person.
Well, it was amusing. Even if he disabled his misdirection, this fellow here is still capable of not noticing him. Wow. He was really a Bakagami kun.
Realising Kuroko was right in front of him, Kagami got a big shock which Kuroko found it interesting.
"Where from… Wait what are you doing here?" The taller teen asked clutching his two hands on the chair like his life depend on it and ask carefully.
"I was sitting here from the beginning. It was really fun watching Kagami kun being scared." He said with his blank face.
"What?!" He shouted as he coughed slightly trying to be the more mature one but well, it was ruined by the next thing he suggest, "Anyway, tag along with me for a bit. Once I'm done eating that."
.
"You… What the hell are you hiding?" Kagami demanded once they reached a basketball court.
The bluenette remained silent as the other continued.
"I was in America until the second year of Middle School. I was really shocked when I came back to Japan. The level is just too low. What I'm looking for is not playing basketball for fun. I want to play in matches that make my blood boil at full strength," He paused, "But I've heard a nice thing earlier. It seems like there are strong guys called the-"
"Stop there." Kuroko interrupted.
"Eh?"
"Please get to the point, Kagami kun. You want to play a match right? A one on one."
Before Kagami can say anything, Kuroko walked towards his bag and picked up a basketball then throw to the red head. He also took off his blazer and pulled up his sleeves.
"You get me, don't you?" Kagami grinned as he also took off his jacket and was in the defending stance.
Without warning, Kuroko had already behind Kagami and tossed the ball before Kagami blinked his eyes.
"Huh? W-What did you do?"
"I won, Kagami kun." Kuroko stated the obvious.
"No! What? Why? How did you get behind me?"
"I just did." Kuroko shrugged and walked to his bag getting ready to leave.
"Wait! One more time."
"Kagami kun. You reminded me of Aomine kun."
"A-Aomine? Who is that?"
"Someone… I hate the most." He said as he left the court leaving Kagami standing there not knowing how to respond.
Note:
*Kiseki no Sedai: The generation of Miracles. (Aka GOM/ Kisekis)
Again. Planned to make a 2000 words.
For Kuroko, erm, he can control his misdirection. And erm.. about his skills. Heh. You got it. He is going to be strong. So if you don't like overpowered Kuroko well…. I got nothing to say.
And please tell me if it is nice! Because I don't really know.
