I wrote this eons ago, and just recently realized I
had not posted it here. This time, Faramir reflects on the loss of his big
brother and what that means. Reviews are appreciated. Surprisingly similar in
structure to the other poem...can it be? Have I actually stuck with a style?
*faints*
Disclaimer: Tolkien. Tolkien. Tolkien! All I have is two annoying original
characters (a Butterbur and a Ranger-*sough*GoReadTheirStory*cough*), dreams,
and Aragorn under my bed. Lifesized, not fuzzy. A Denethor poem is in the works,
probably sometime before the end of Christmas break.

Osgiliath Burns
Osgiliath burns, my brother
Does it shame you to hear it?
You have left this world
Does your land's fate still hold sway?
Two halflings taint your honour
Did you fall to darkness brother?
Is what they say true,
Have you left this fate to me?
A man of valour you were
Shall you never return?
You carried the symbol of our house
Did the horn go unheard?
Osgiliath burns, my brother
And dark days have come to our realm
You have left this world
Does your land's fate still hold sway?
