I chapter 13 hermione/pansy
plot: when an insult from Ron goes too far hermione learns that pansy isnt as horrible as she seems
The great Hall was a flutter with kids of all ages rushing around to get their breakfast, most chatting others eating and the occasional hex being thrown about, this was like any normal day at hogwarts.
Three people walked into the chaos as they usually did a boy with ginger hair and freckles covering his face a small amount of drool was also present at the amount of food on display, on the right stood a girl with bushy hair and holding a couple of books for her class and in the middle was the most famous of them all, known for his scar, his bright green eyes and unruly hair.
"im starving" Ron mumbled as he fell into a seat and shoveled food into his mouth, Hermione watched with disgust at her friend.
"Do you think of anything but food?" she asked as she poured herself a glass of orange juice.
Ron didnt reply to her she rolled her eyes and went about reading her book just as Ginny made her way over.
"Have you guys heard?" Ginny asked Harry and Ron shook their heads hermione said nothing "apparently pansy parkinson is a lesbian" Ron nearly chocked on his toast as he laughed, hermione didnt look up from the book but had heard what was said.
"shes a dyke!" Ron laughed Hermione slammed her book shut and glared at him just as pansy, malfoy and blaise walked in.
Ron saw them and smirked "alright dyke!" he shouted across the hall which had gone quiet Hermione looked at the girl who seemed shy malfoy snarled the red head "cant believe your something as disgusting as a dyke" he laughed once again.
"RONALD!" screamed Hermione he looked at her confused "your disgusting how dare you use that language!"
"b...b...but she calls you mudblood" he sputtered out Hermione snarled him in response.
"am I bothered about that? no ive gotten over it but you dont ever use someones sexuality against them!" nobody noticed pansy had left the room, hermione huffed grabbed her things and left her friends.
Hermione made her way down the hall when she heard it a soft sob she stopped wondering if it was a first year, she made her way to the disused class room and opened the door.
Sat in a huddle was a girl in slytherin robes their dark hair covered their face.
"Are you OK?" Hermione said softly the person looked up she saw it was pansy her face red and blotchy from crying.
"granger" she said in a soft voice hermione walked into the class room more.
"ignore what Ron said in the great Hall hes a prat" pansy snorted.
"I guess I deserved it I mean inwas down right horrible to you" she replied hermione sat next to the girl.
"I got over the mudblood thing having it carved into your arm and seeing it every day means you cant let it get to you" hermione shrugged.
Pansy looked at the other gjrl fully "I thought that was a rumour" she mumbled, hermione smiled but lifted her sleeve to show the other girl who gasped.
"Courtesy of Bellatrix lestrange the blade was cursed so I can't ever heal it" she watched as pansy let her fingers glide over the word.
"did she really torture you?" pansy asked.
"Yes for what seemed like hours but that was nothing compared to watching dobby die" hermione whispered her voice strained pansy then held her hand to comfort the girl
"I liked dobby he used to bring me sweets when I went to the manor" pansy smiled she paused biting her lip "gran... hermione would you like to go on a date with me?" Hermione looked at her in surprise.
"ive always well found you attractive especially when you get angry" pansy grinned hermione laughed and leaned into the girl more.
Hermione surprised them both by cupping the other girls cheeks and kissing her lightly on the lips not passionate but a promise that it one day could be.
