Hi yes, and welcome to the actual ACTUAL continuation of this story. This is the author including a missing chapter and then continuing because she forgot about it. I am going to eventually finish this story, I promise! I have been writing side-stories for it as well because I love it so much x'D I... think I said that last chapter but whatever!
Transformers do not belong to me! They are Hasbros and... I dunno; has anywhere else claimed them yet? BUT! I do own Skylar and... and these iterations of the plushieformers, I guess? I dunno; the idea's not mine, so hecc Dx
I didn't want to, but I had to for his sake. The Autobots weren't considering how he felt at all…
I stood at the doors to the store, boredly looking up at the sign while sheltering myself with an umbrella. Starscream needs them more than anything, and I don't think he's going to be reassured until they're with him. A gentle tap on my shoulder made me look back; said-seeker peeking out of my backpack as he got my attention.
"You, sure you're not mad at me?"
"No Stars, I would never be," I admitted with a sigh, quickly pulling my umbrella down as we stepped into the store. "What happened to Percy was an accident. What matters now is that you're both fixed up and happy."
Well, almost… I added in my head, shaking the droplets from my umbrella and setting it against the wall with the row of others. Cautiously I pulled Starscream out of my backpack, feeling strongly that I might need him on my search. I walked over to the familiar aisle I'd been down time and time again, but instead of turning down it, kept walking and turned down the next; setting the seeker on the ground at the emptiness and letting him walk beside me.
"So…?" he asked in confusion, looking up to the shelves as we walked. "… You're not serious, are you…?"
Yep… We'd walked into an aisle filled with clothing and accessories. More for the other dolls in the store, but I was sure they'd fit the plushieformers. Hopefully they'd have six sets of what I was looking for… or, make that eight…
"Well, I figured if you guys like going outside in the rain so much, I'd need to get you into something appropriate for it, right?" I pointed out, stopping at a particular spot and scanning the shelf. Ponchos, t-shirts, dresses, skirts, pants, shoes, hats… hmm…
I looked down to find the seeker trying to figure out a small, plastic umbrella, giggling as I knelt down and helped him put it up.
"You can use that when we leave if you want to."
All I got from that was a giggle and a happy seeker skipping along beside me – with an umbrella, might I add – as we continued down the aisle. Whenever I'd stop, he'd just skip back and forth, always keeping by my side in case someone unsuspecting happened to turn down the aisle, and that just happened when someone did; Starscream yelping and skittering into me. I looked down at him in confusion at his action; it being something completely different to what they usually did but, understood when I looked up and grinned at who had startled him.
"Someone's going around, scaring all the plushies…" I teased. My friend walked over with a cheery laugh, gently elbowing the plushie tucked under her arm.
"Not me. It's this one," Nikki laughed, scowling at the Decepticon leader as he struggled in her grip. "I'm glad he actually knows how to stay still around other people…"
"Put me down, human!" Megatron growled suddenly, causing the both of us to shoot him a blank glance. Starscream peered up from behind me in fear, dreading to do anything in case he was seen.
"No. You need to learn how to behave."
"Stars, it's okay; you can come out," I coaxed gently, glancing down at the seeker as I spoke. "Megatron can't hurt you with us around."
"He is my Second-In-Command; only I give him orders!" the warlord spat; Nikki quickly shoving him in her hand-bag with a small groan.
"I wish I could swap, but where's the fun in that?" she breathed, glancing down at Starscream with a smile. "What are you two shopping for anyway?"
"Funnily enough; rain coats, umbrellas and gumboots," I explained, indicating to the shelves and picking up the umbrella Starscream had dropped to show her. "They 'love the rain' apparently."
"Aw cute. Any plushies?"
Noting Star was distracted, I took a step towards her and coaxed to whisper in her ear.
"Don't tell him, but to make him happy, I'm getting Warp and TC…" I said softly, noticing her look of debate and spoke quickly before she could say anything. "I know, I know, but… it'll make him so much happier if they're right there with him. He won't have to wait for the days I come to visit you to see Skywarp anymore."
"… Good point, dudette," Nikki shrugged, glancing at the box in her hand. I mentally sucked in a breath; Limited Edition Thundercracker! I blinked in confusion when she held him out to me. "I, was going to buy him for myself, but… Star needs him more than I do…"
I took the box, looked at it, then looked back up at her. What could I say? She'd just given me the one toy she had been hoping for, and just gave it up willingly!
"Nikki, I… I can't! What about Skywarp!?"
"No Sky, it's fine; really," my friend laughed, shaking her hands when I tried to give the box back. "Besides, I realise now I don't have enough money for him, so… I'm gonna get Rumble and Frenzy instead, you know, to keep Sounders happy."
"Nik, cassettes are $15; plushies are $27," I put in blankly, correcting her mistake. "Buying those two cost more than TC…"
"Not if they're in a box together!" Nikki giggled, then hastily darting off and leaving Starscream and I alone in the aisle. I meet optics with the seeker and shrugged, looking away to gather what I needed, shoved them into a plastic bag then led the way off down the aisle we'd just passed. I paused as Starscream caught up and gratefully climbed up to my backpack before wriggling inside; he was safer in there anyway. As we walked along, I thought back to what I'd told Nikki. Maybe it was the best choice getting the two seekers…
Even if not, I knew I'd probably see some improvement in Starscream towards the other Autobots… Hopefully…
So basically the store is like a Build-A-Bear if you've ever been to one. The Transformers plushies are in boxes and already stuffed though cause, they're kinda like… I don't know; 'anniversary' specials or something, you know… yeah…
Other accessories are meant for other plushies but I think they suit the plushieformers better x3
