Touka, and Yomo watch the rusty colored construction machines pick up the broken pieces of what's left of their precious Anteiku. That simple coffee shop was everything they had, and now it's just a pile of debris, and black bullet holes. Touka tried to cry, but she's shed enough tears on her pale skinned face. There's nothing left in her to even shed a simple drip of salty liquid down her lashes.

"C'mon Touka, lets go. There's nothing for us here. Let's just go to Helter Skelter."

"Right." Touka agreed with Yomo.

The walk to the Helter Skelter was decent enough; the peach blossoms flew through the park, car horns buzzing in the streets, and kids playing in the sandbox, but something did feel off. Perhaps too off for either Touka's or Yomo's taste, but then again. There's no proof that they're ghouls, so the CCG couldn't do anything about them.

"Excuse me, but are you Touka Kirashima." Says someone behind the two.

Touka simply sways to her back, and finds an investigator with white hair. Touka instantly thought of Kaneki, but the jacket really tore her hopes down.

"Who're you?" Touka asks.

"My name is Arima, and… you must be the rabbit ghoul."

Touka hitched her muscles, but Yomo put his hand over Touka for her protection.

Arima held out his hands to keep the peace, "Relax, I'm not here to kill you… if I were, you'd be dead now." He pushed his glasses up to the top of his nose, and relaxed his shoulders a bit.

"So what do you want?" Yomo coldy growls in his regular glare.

"I just came to drop this off, it had her name on it… Personally I figured you were the bunny ghoul… cause this letter is from… shall we say, the eyepatch ghoul."

Touka's breath stopped in her throat to that name, "What?"

"Yeah… just take this letter, and we can both forget we were here, okay?" Arima hands Touka the letter, and he just walks away. Touka quickly picks out the letter with her nails. Yomo noticed blood stains on the envelope. A few days old judging by how brown it's stained in the white color.

Touka littered the walkway with the envelope, but then the wind blew it away before it could fall to the ground. As she read the letter, line by line, tears came down in droves.

"Dear Touka,

If your reading this, I'm very likely dead. I'm sorry for being so blunt on the subject, but I just can't figure out how to tell you easily. After everything I've done; to Hinami, Hide, everyone at Anteiku, Yomo, Uta, and most especially you. After what you said to me, that all I care about is myself. Me helping everyone I love, you were right. I am trash, at this point I guess the only person I can help is just myself. I'm not sure how you're feeling to this right now, but I promise you. I'm not one to believe in heaven, but if such a place does exist, I want you to know that I'll be watching you. I'm always gonna be right next to you for as long as you live. I'll always make sure you're never alone from now on. This probably is very stupid, but, I just wish I could hug you right now, and tell you that the world hasn't ended for you. I can only hope that things will get better for you.

-Kaneki

Touka dropped to her knees and covered her face to the ground, and buried herself in her pale hands. Her crying was soft, and broken, but Yomo can feel how strong her grief is.

"I'm sorry Kaneki! I'M SORRY!"
