"Erika, wake up, Erika! Wake up!"

Erika wakes up gasping, her breath labored. She feels her uniform sticking to her form, drenched in sweat. "Erich, what…what happened?" She asked, calming her ragged breath.

"You look so pale, and you can't stop moving around, mumbling something under your breath," Her second-in-command looked worried. "What were you dreaming earlier, Erika? Mind telling us what it is?"

Erika looks around and saw the rest of the tank crews looking at her with the same expression, while her troops are running to and fro in the background, officers shouting orders to mobilize and pack things up. "Are we mobilizing now?"

"Erika-"

"Are we mobilizing now?"

Erich looks at the sweating girl with concern, before heaving a sigh. "Yes, we are. I told them to get ready since I'm waking you up."

"Then let's get into the tank first. I'll answer your questions there." She leaves no room to answer, immediately pushing herself up from her resting place. Dusting herself off, she turns and climbs the Command Panther with haste, Erich and the others following suit. She lets Erich and the gunner climbs in first before joining them, taking the headphone and laryngophone given by Erich. "Testing, testing, one two three, anyone that can hear please respond," Erika tested the mouthpiece while getting responses from the others.

"Erika, here," The gunner offered her his flask, which Erika gracefully accepts. "So, about your dream?"

"After this," Erika downed the content in one go, wiping her mouth with her arm while giving the flask back. She then stands up on her seat, poking her upper body out of the tank's cupola. Gazing around, she sees that most of her troops are still not ready, what with the sudden order to mobilize. "Attention, everyone!" She barked, everyone's attention turning to her. "We will mobilize in ten minutes! Make sure to be ready by then!"

"Ja, Kommandant!" They replied curtly.

Exhaling, she went back into the tank and closed the hatch. She was met with expecting gazes from the tank crew, demanding answers for their questions. "Alright, what do you all want to know first?"

"What were you dreaming earlier, Erika?" Erich wasted no time asking his earlier question.

"What I dreamt huh…well, it's certainly a weird one," Erika frowned a bit, trying to recall her already blurring memories of the dream. "It's…good, worrying, and…terrifying in one."

"Let's start with why it's weird," Werner inquired, to which no one objects.

"It's weird because it's, uh, we brought Eastern Front's vehicles with us to this front. Also, I…think it's from one of our Espionage Doctrine members who survived USA's attack…which I find odd, now that I think about it, since they then decided to, uh, press on with their invasion later that morning for some reason. We should tell our troops about that too, just in case."

"I agree with that plan; even if it's just a dream, it's also a bad idea to get caught off guard to an enemy attack." Manfred writes it down on a note. "I will make sure to inform our spies about this, and tell them to be ready for any attack. What about good?"

"After the Americans managed to take the beachhead, since our help is minimal – which is also odd – but then one of the Americans, uh, I forgot who he was, brought his…uh, his superior and a squad with them since he saw me on a, uh, a modified Panzer 4 with a small, round turret –"

"The Kugelblitz?" Erich cuts off, surprised. "But we don't have those yet; they're still being produced in secret, and definitely not a tank we'd use for a command vehicle."

"I know, but disregarding that bit, the Americans went to my location, where I was briefing my men, and they got caught by a patrol squad since they're so focused on trying to hear what I was saying. They then brought them to me, there's a bit of uh, uh…threatening, fighting, and…and negotiating, but we managed to get them to our side to retake Germany from that idiot's grasp. I…think I also have a much larger hatred to Hitler for reasons I have yet to fathom."

"Who doesn't hate that idiot in your army anyway," The gunner's remark makes everyone chuckle. "But seriously, that's a very large boon to our side. Them joining our cause will lift a large strain on our dwindling resources, and maybe we can get their stuff too. I'd rather not use our heavy tanks for close range battles and use theirs as the spearhead."

"We're already reserving most of our stuff as is and being very careful not to get into any confrontation, so getting their equipment would be a much welcomed boon," Erich added his two cents. "Some of our soldiers have complained that they lack enough ammunition for prolonged fighting. We're not like the Russians, and we would much rather be not like them, fighting without guns and having to scavenge from dead comrades."

Erika nodded. She certainly would appreciate that kind of help very much, but she had a feeling that persuading the Americans won't be as easy as the one she did in her dream. She also wanted to tell them that a famous general will join in later, but then she remembered that that information is common secret by now, so she decided against it. "Oh right, there's more to why it's weird."

"There's more?" Manfred asks in surprise.

"Yes, and one of them is the fact that most of us can speak English with little to no difficulty." Erika gazes every member of the crew straight to their eyes. "How many of us here can speak English as good as me, which still isn't that good in the first place?"

"Well, other than the translators, there's, uh… there's…"

"Yeah, basically nonexistent. And then there's…there's… uh… fuck, I can't remember the other ones, but I do remember that Karla's still as…'flashy' as usual."

"Just like you from – ow!" Erich yelped from his superior's punch to the shoulder. "But that's the truth!"

"You don't need to remind me that!" Her cheeks became red, suddenly remembering the part where she doesn't wear her top when Rommel was sitting beside her, and the part where she – "A-anyway, let's move on to scary part! Let's move there!"

"I'd rather not, Erika," The gunner voiced his opinion, which the rest agrees with. "I have a feeling it's regarding about that side of you."

Erika went silent at that. She couldn't deny that that part of her dream is one of the few she vividly remembered due to how…graphic it is. "…yes, but at least I'm not as bad as the one in my dream!"

"Oh God, it's even worse there?" Werner's face paled from the thought, to which everyone shares the sentiment. "Please, spare us the details. We don't need more nightmares."

"Well at least I didn't torture and decapitate – "

"ERIKA!"

" – Nazis in public and shove it at the American's face!"

"Goddammit Erika, none of us need to know that…" Erich says in defeat, covering his face. "Now I won't stop thinking about that for the rest of the day…" Murmurs of agreement came from the others, too low to be heard by Erika.

She had to admit, seeing them scared like that is kind of fun in a weird way, but she also felt sorry for them now. "Also, the Special Doc – "

"Erika, please, just…stop." Manfred cut her off. "We…we're satisfied with what we already got."

"Yes, Erika, so please, no more of that scary bit…"

"It's bad enough that we know how you are when your mood is down the gutter in secret, now we have to know you publicly do it in your dream too? Oh, the horror…"

"Erika, it's almost the ten minute mark." Erich quickly informed, looking at his watch. Even if she knew that he just said that to change the subject, she did order to mobilize at that mark. "Go check how they are doing."

"Yes, yes, Erich, whatever you say." Erika giggled a bit as she stands up again, opening the hatch to check her surroundings. Only a few could be seen still running around, but most of her soldiers are ready. Good enough. "Alright, everyone, time is up! Full speed to the beaches!"

The sounds of engine starting filled the air as officers shouted her order to soldiers that can't hear her order. Soon the vehicles move forward, and they were off on their journey to the beaches Erika opted to keep standing, so she leans her body onto the Panther's cupola. She wondered if her dream is a sign along the way, but until it proves to be a reality, it will be stuck in her head for quite some time.

And with this, the story comes to its premature end.

I actually already had this written and just sitting for almost two years before I decided to finally upload this. This is written after I tried making how the rest of the story should go, but in the end I couldn't come with anything that I like. Some of the elements of the story also is not to my liking after I read them again and again, so I guess this chapter is to rectify how...absurd those elements are.

This story lasted shorter than what I had wanted, but alas. I couldn't make this into how I envisioned it to be, but I only have myself to blame for that. Hopefully I can do better next time. Thanks for reading this, and hopefully I'll see you again in another fanfic I write once I finish with the two story I have posted here years ago.
