Wow it's been a while,

But I have returned! College is done, I have graduated with a Bachelors, and now I am working on building my career and trying to get in the entertainment industry. But more importantly, I'll be working on this story for you guys once again! This chapter turned out to be more than I anticipated. I had to make a major detour in terms of story, but I managed to make it work. I'll be updating once every 3 weeks(or sooner). This is mainly due to focusing on personal works to build my portfolio, but it gives me enough time to draft, edit, and make changes to the story as I need. Also, I've added (not a lot) more content in Chapter 16. For those who haven't seen my tumblr post, if you want to go back and read, it'll mainly be updates on Cloud's retelling of his life.

But anyway, here is a big boi chappie for you since it's been a while ;)

Chapter 17: Redirect

Code of Conduct – 6: If found acting outside groups designated terms, the acting Prince must renounce their position and give power to the next in line.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Students lined the halls as they waited to head out to the soccer field where they were holding this semester's rally. Usually whenever students decide to show their support, they would wear all white but this year they wanted to mix it up with t-shirts of their school mascot; the Destiny High Crest of Royal Kings. Students that decided to attend bought the shirts or wore red and gold; that being the school's colors. Not only did it help for funding for future events, but it allowed for the students to show their pride in their own way if they wished. Sora, and a few other members of his club stood at the exit holding boxes containing miniature pom poms to pass out to everyone. The Royal was glad that they were able to make the preparations and make it within schedule so everything was ready to go. He was sure to check everything himself before he gave the all clear to the school administration and anyone else working the event.

The walkie talkie in his back pocket gave some feedback until he heard his name being called on his end. Reaching around, he pressed the call button.

"Yeah?"

"We're ready for you over here."

"Cool, awesome. We'll bring them right over. Thanks!" The brunet slipped his talkie back in his pocket then turned to clear his throat over the loud chatter of students. Once all the other teens settled down, he put on his best smile.

"The rally is about to start and now we're waiting for the best part. You all. Now, if you want to show your school spirit, grab a pom pom from me or friends." Sora turned and jerked his head at the other two and they nodded in kind and opened the door. "See you all at the field!"

The students cheered and began to file out. The prince thanked them as they grabbed from the boxes until they ran out then followed behind the remaining. The day was thankfully forgiving and gave them a healthy amount of sun and not much chill. However shielding his eyes from bright rays, the sun was a little too blinding for his taste.

"Prince, would you want to borrow my visor?"

The brunet turned to his clubmate. "Huh? Oh no. I'm okay. I don't need it, thanks."

"Don't worry about it. You look like you need it more than me." He heavily insisted.

"I really don't-"

"Just take it." His clubmate demanded. Fair frowned but took it begrudgingly.

Sora honestly thought it weird when people like him would insist and suspected his needs. To the brunet, it was a bit uncalled for and made him feel a bit strange. He didn't want others to feel that they needed to tend to him. Yes, he was the Royal prince and all, staple of the whole high school, and kind of an important representative. It wasn't too much pressure or anything, but he could see how and why people would be inclined to such treatment towards him. Granted, he did like the respect, but he didn't like to be tended to hand and foot. But as of recently, he felt that he had been working hard. Given that he had been slaving away to make sure everything was proceeding as planned. Fair would be damned if it somehow all went to shit, so he wasn't going to let it happen. So maybe… letting himself be spoiled this one time would be fine. Although he was to be sure not to abuse it as an advantage.

They continued to make their way to the field entering from the east end. Sora and his clubmates stopped to stand center of the field. Fair took a glance at the stands smiling at the sight of red and gold pom poms among the seas of students and hearing the soft chatter of teens over music playing. A random student among them started their school chant: "LET'S GO ROYALS, LET'S GO!" Stomps and claps thundered through them and it instantly made the brunet feel proud of all of his work.

They had all the band members lined up; chatting light waiting to begin. On the opposite end to the students, their jumbotron displayed the school's crest, and it would periodically flash the best moments of Destiny High's sports teams. The Cheerleaders winning nationals, the basketball team crushing at regionals, best pitches in baseball, and of course, the unforgettable moments of their famous football team. Everything was placed accordingly it seemed.

"Hey, Sora!" Fair turned and locked eyes with the assistant principal as she walked towards him.

"Ms. Lawson. Thanks for joining us. Everything ready to go?" Sora smiled and greeted her in familiarity as he had worked with her many times for school activities. She was dressed in a floral pencil skirt, pale blue blouse, and walked on the grass with the thinnest heels the brunt had ever seen. He was almost baffled that she somehow didn't sink into the ground in them.

"As long as you have your speech ready." Her face beamed as she handed him a megaphone. She patted his shoulder and stood beside him and the other members. "Like every year, you make a good rally. We owe a lot to you, Sora." She humbly thanked.

"I try my best for the Royals and the school. They are my accomplishments."

"See? What could we do without a respectable person like you?"

Fair almost snorted. "Thank you."

Ms. Lawson waved at the press box to signal that they were ready. The jumbotron transitioned to images of player's faces, sports paraphernalia, and the school mascot. The music quieted and the students settled down. Most, if not all, eyes were focused to the center of the field awaiting the Royal prince's message. Sora could never get used to it. The eyes and attention. It all still made his heart quicken and tremble a bit, but he had gotten better at handling his nerves. Under the eyes of many -and his own-, he had to make sure that everything was as it should be and he delivered.

"Whenever you're ready, Sora."

"Huh?" He snapped out of his thoughts and readjusted the megaphone in his hand. "Oh yes." He clicked the button to make sure it worked then slowly raised it to his mouth. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, then reopened them. He smiled big and projected as loud as he could.

"Goooooood Morning Destiny High!" Sora boomed and it was soon followed by cheers, hollers, and whistles. "Now, how many Royal members do we have out here today?!" Fair pointed to the crowd and a majority of shouts and hoots responded. Fair laughed. "Good to see my people representing!" He cleared his throat before continuing. "First, I and everyone who has worked tirelessly for today are glad to have you for our rally. You've come here to show you loyalty, values, and drive to remind all who have joined us this year: who we are, what we do, and how brightly we shine and rule as Destiny Royal Kings. And I know most of you want to believe..." He paused. "Ms. Lawson." He interjected quickly and there was collective laughter from the students and the brunet received a playful smack from the women. He restarted again. "You guys want to believe this was all me. But it wasn't. It was also the boys and girls in our prep club that made this all possible. So, I would like everyone to applaud them."

Everyone, including himself, clapped for his team. But in the midst of the long moment of applause, Fair caught movement at the corner of his eye. He took the chance to take a quick glance and saw what had caught his attention was someone dressed in all white. He realized that it shouldn't have distracted him until he realized that that person was Roxas. Confused, his eyes followed him until he parked himself in the throng of students. He watched as someone he recognized as a Royal member leaned over and whispered something in the blond's ear making him laugh. In response, he whispered back then turned and made direct eye contact with Sora. He winked.

The brunet's lip twitched and he squinted.

"Uh, Sora?"

"Y-Yes? Oh, Sorry." He blushed having realized that he paused too long during his speech. Coughing awkwardly, he finished up his speech.

"Now, I'm not planning to talk your ear off, but before we get to it, I want one more thing out of you. Our battle cry. Our cry that carries us from game to game, test to test, and school to life. So everyone… remind me who we are!"

"Destiny High Royals!" Screamed the students.

"I'm sorry. I didn't quite catch that." Sora cupped his ear and bent to the crowd.

"DESTINY HIGH ROYALS!

"And what do we do?!"

"SHINE, HONOR, AND WIN!"

"WHAT DO WE DO?!" Sora asked louder.

"SHINE, HONOR, AND WIIIIIIN!"

The brunet grinned as he heard the students cheer and chant. He had done what he needed to and it was time for him to enjoy the fruits of his labor. Sora handed the megaphone to Ms. Lawson, thanked her, and then walked off to join his friends and other students. Walking back, he took another glance at the blond and saw that the royal from before was not-so-subtly latched to his neck. Were they for real right now? Seeing them like that made him suck his teeth in annoyance. He had to force himself to look away and meet the smiling faces of his friends and supporters. However, even when he sat down, his eyes drifted to the laughing Rebel and didn't appreciate the blatant flirting with one of his members. But Sora couldn't spend all of the rally being distracted by whatever they were doing. Sora was there to also support his friends, so that was what he was going to do. Or try to do.

Throughout the first half of the program, the Royal was having difficulty paying attention. The band started it out spectacularly. Pieces from competitions and fun were played to help rile to students into excitement. The color guard came out and likely performed a great routine and so did a small group of the cheer squad. He couldn't stop his focus on the opposite end of the bleachers. He didn't understand why it was so distracting but it was increasingly frustrating as he watched Lockhart. Even the fact that he changed his get-up was a little off-putting. It wasn't like the Rebel to personally show up at school events without any type of disruption that was unexpectedly incorporated. And to show support for an opposing group?

The consideration brought anxiety to Fair of the possible impending disasters to come. The Destiny High Rebels were classic pranksters, and their scale could reach any blindspot.

The brunet watched as the girls Lacrosse team ran out into the field and made a show of passing the ball and assuming a mock play. Sora glanced about the field looking for any oddities that stood out.

"Hey, I'm gonna check a few things. Be right back." He muttered to his friends and stepped out into sidelines away from all the groups and band members.

He jogged around to check behind the stands but found nothing other than a few teens making out or sneaking cigs and alcohol. He made a mental note to get someone on that and then turned his attention elsewhere. Fair returned to the sidelines and looked through the band's equipment and the coolers they set out for the performers. Nothing. He eyeballed the crowd of students to see that there weren't any noticeable congregations of rebels. He could normally tell them apart since they were typically students that looked bored, pissed, or carried an air of 'I would rather be anywhere else but here' vibe. However, there was an even mix and the majority, like before, were royals.

But he had to walk on. He grabbed his walkie and requested any available club members to check equipment that weren't currently being used. There was a time when rebel members tampered with equipment from past events, so now they had to triple check that everything was in proper order. His next destination was the press room. He thought that it was the most likely place someone could slip through and pose as a worker for the event and ruin the broadcast they planned. The aisle with the easiest access happened to be along the path Lockhart was sitting, and he was of course too busy flirting to actually pay attention to everything else around him. Fair clicked his tongue.

Glaring at the blond as he came around, Sora thought how unbecoming it was for Roxas not to even try to hide his hickies with his low-cut shirt. He was clearly abusing the fact that he is a prince to bend every rule and break multiple codes of conduct. A prince shouldn't be conducting themselves this way, but Roxas seemed to be the one hell-bent on doing just that. It was a wonder as to how he was able to reign for so long and no one seemed to notice or care. Did anyone? Everyone about them were too preoccupied with the rally to even give them a glance. So, did that mean that what they were doing didn't really matter? Did it really have to bother the brunet as much as it did?

A waist-high chain-linked fence separated the stands from the field. Sora's hand ran through the metal bar producing a soft hissing, hollow sound that eventually caught the Rebel's prince's attention as he drew near. They met eyes and the blond gave him his classic wink.

"Lockhart."

"Fair." His tone was flirtatious, obviously set in the mood thanks to his new partner. Sora tried to ignore it.

"You're here. I wasn't expecting you to show up." He gestured to his clothing and he then noticed the Rebel's hand resting against the other boy's thigh. "Seems like you're having fun..." He paused leveling his gaze to his. "With the rally and all. Your presence is appreciated." He lied. Out of all times, the brunet wished he didn't have to try so hard to keep appearances; especially in a public setting like this when he really wanted to rip him one.

"You do throw good events. Parties too I bet. Had to be part of it this time around." Roxas detached himself from the royal member and moved to lean on the short railing. "But it saddens me of your insinuation of my lack of school pride. May I ask, did you possibly make your way over here to seek my aid in anything or…?" He quirked a brow leaning in closer. The collar of his shirt opened a bit wider and Sora could see that his love bites ran past his neck. Repulsive.

"I was just passing through," He said flatly. "I'm on duty." He withdrew his hand from the fence and made to climb the aisle beside them.

"Two things before you go, Sora." Lockhart called after him.

The Royal prince huffed and turned to him. "What?"

"First, you need to work on lying better." Roxas gave him a knowing look as he sat back down and hooked his arm around the other boy's shoulder. "And two, you'll be needing help soon." He smirked then turned to watch the teams.

Fair stared feeling crossed and confused but he proceeded on his way. He climbed to the top and knocked on the metal door. The door had a glass window and a familiar face came in view from the other side and opened the door.

"Sora!" A beaming dark-hair ravenette greeted and gave him a tight squeeze.

"Yuffie!" The brunet gasped until she let him go. "Hey. Is everything still good up here?"

"Yeah, everything is fine. Going in?" The girl stepped aside and let Sora in. "I thought you would be in the forefront."

Sora chuckled. "I was. But then I saw something that got me paranoid and I wanted to double check." He walked on over to a music student who was working the soundboard and noted a desktop setup beside him. Displayed was the program they scheduled and was being projected on the screen out on the field. Fair greeted the club member that was overseeing it all.

"How is it?"

"Good, sir. I lucked out and was given the easiest job." They laughed and then returned to staring at the screen.

The brunet nodded and then nearly jumped out of his skin when Yuffie latched onto his shoulder.

"Look! There's Kairi!"

Fair wasn't surprised that she was about to single her out of the crowd. She was running on the field waving with her pom poms as her other cheerleading mates held the banner for the cheer squad. They were dressed in their cheer attire, red long-sleeved crop-top and red, and gold skirt-shorts. Or what Kairi liked to call them, skorts, with white tennis shoes. They watched as she threw up her pom-poms and performed a cartwheel into three backflips then effortlessly catching them after her perfect execution. A cry of cheers and applause followed and the Royal could not be more proud of his best friend.

"Man… she is so good. You're so lucky to be friends with her. Vice-captain of the cheer squad and all…" Yuffie bemoaned, not hiding her jealousy.

Sora chuckled and shook his head. "She always had it in her. When we first came to this school, she was so afraid of joining the cheer team. If I hadn't pushed her, she wouldn't be where she is now." Azure eyes met dark brown. "If you really wanted, I could put in a word for you if you audition. They'll need new members since a majority of the team are seniors."

"Oh no!" She furiously shook her head. "That won't be happening. The girls are what I'm afraid of." She muttered.

"The… girls?"

Yuffie rolled her eyes and crossed her arms together. "For someone who is almost surrounded by preps and jocks, it amazes me you don't know what really goes on behind those lockers."

Sora didn't say anything not sure if he wanted to delve into the topic further. He turned away and instead paid attention to the field. He could still feel the girl's eyes on him so he assumed that there was more that she wanted to say.

"What?"

"I'm curious. How did you become friends with Kairi?"

He blinked, then his gaze turned upwards. "How?" He hadn't had to think about that for a while. Having to think back now he realized that he forgotten a good bit of the details.

He thought to his earliest memories. That being his time in preschool "Well, I met her when I was four or five maybe? It was easy since she really stood out with her red hair."

He retold the story of remembering the day their caretaker brought in the very tiny girl. It was clear that she wasn't from their part of own since there weren't many people with her hair color. She was very shy, with big fearful blue eyes, but Sora was the first to introduce himself. His first impression of her was that she could see her becoming the sun and the stars in her future. She would shine bright in the world, and the brunet wanted to be a part of it. Since then, he always found himself by her side. But as a child, he didn't realize that she was his first love.

"Ha! There is it! I knew you had a thing for her!" Yuffie interrupted jabbing a finger into the prince's side.

Sora hissed and playfully shoved her aside. "Keyword: 'had'. We did kiss once, but I'm sure she did it out of pity." He paused. "Don't tell anyone I said that." Fair thought again and pointed to everyone else in the room. "That goes for you too who had been listening." They chuckled.

The ravenette giggled. "Sure, sure. But what about now?"

"What about now? Those feelings have been and are gone. I care for her, but not in that way. I'm pretty sure it's Riku that likes her. He always likes to find a reason to compete with me whenever she's around."

"Oh?" She turned away. "That isn't what it seems like to everyone else." Yuffie muttered low.

"What?"

"Oh, nothing. You didn't hear me say anything."

Fair thinned his lips together and returned his attention to the field. The band was starting back up again with the drums and percussion coming to a gradual crescendo into the next song. At the boom of the brass and the eruption of fog and confetti at the west end of the field, the football players rushed out hooting and hollering. Some of them clashed and butted heads and the students started up their team chant. The brunet smiled as he quickly spotted his other silver-haired best friend wave at the students and expertly catch a sailing football that came his way.

"So, who do you like now?" Yuffie once again came into his view, but this time asked in a hushed tone. Sora resisted the urge to push her away.

"Jeez, Yuffie." He rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Come on! There must be someone! Do they have red hair?"

Was she really going to do this now? He didn't feel like amusing her. "No. I'm not doing this with you today Yuff."

"Blue?"

"No."

Green?"

"No."

"Dark haired? Are they cute like me?"

"No." Yuffie punched him and Fair readjusted his tone. "I mean, I didn't mean they aren't cute like you!"

"Oh? So you're into me?" Her voice turned flirtatious and she ran her fingers up his arm. It gave him an unpleasant chill and he batted her away.

"You know what I meant."

She hummed. "Pink?"

Oh, my god. "No. None!"

"I bet it's some pretty blond that has a daddy that is loaded with cash. Probably lives in a three-storied house and has a dog and mom that all the boys want to go down on. Wait, oh my goodness. Sora Fair, prince of the Destiny High Royals, don't tell me you're into MILFS?!"

She was getting on his last nerve and he couldn't hold back from practically exploding. "No! no! No! And Noooooo! It's a BOY for christ sakes!" There was a beat and Sora clapped his hand over his mouth. He said that on impulse and Sora's heart fell to his gut and his face blossomed red. Everyone else in the room jumped and turned at his shout and asked if everything was alright. He apologized but then turned to Yuffie. Clearing his throat, he holds his head high and carried his normal air of dignity. His next words felt so malicious that he almost felt bad that this was the side of himself he had to expose to the raven.

"We didn't talk about this. You didn't ask so many god damn questions. And you weren't so fucking irritating. Not a lick of this outside this room. You understand me?" His words held bite and the small girl nodded nervously in agreement. Their moment was tense, but they were brought out of it with the sound of keys being hurriedly tapped away.

"Uhhhh…. this is not good."

Fair turned furrowing his brow and came to stand next to the Royal at the computer. "What's the matter?"

"Well, nothing is happening. I'm pressing the keys and the presentation is stuck on this slide. I think the computer froze, but the display out there seems fine."

"Maybe it's just having a hiccup." Sora waved for him to move aside and opened the task manager. However, no matter what keys he pressed the computer did not respond. "What?" He muttered in confusion and looked up at the jumbotron. He didn't see it at first, but he the more he focused on the screen he saw it was ever so slightly glitching out.

"What in the world?" Looking between the desktop and display, Fair's anxiety began to rise. Of course there would be some sort of technical issue at the most inconvenient time. Then suddenly, both screens went black.

There was a moment and then chatters of confusion from the students arose below and Sora cursed under his breath. Not soon after, voices called for him on his walkie and he soon requested that any available I.T. support to come and quickly fix the issue.

"Excuse me everyone. It'll be a few minutes." He excused himself from the room and headed out.

He was making his way back towards the field to meet with Ms. Lawson, but his trip came to a stop when the screen flashed white and gave the Royal a sense of relief. But that relief was dashed quickly when the Rebel's crest; a stylized X resembling the token he had given Lockhart, displayed on the screen. It was only there for a second before quickly transitioning to videos of students and candids of teachers dancing and twerking to My Neck, My Back. Before he could realize it, the whole field succumbed to the vulgarity and laughter of students all over.

The Royal's features turned sour with embarrassment and anger. He stormed down the rest of the way and zeroed in on the blond laughing away amidst the situation. The royal boy still has his arm wrapped around him, so Sora snatched it away and yanked Roxas' sleeve forcing him to face him. Blue on blue, one dripping with anger and the other in amusement.

"Enjoying our presentation? We worked hard on it." Lockhart hummed with his usual teasing grin.

"Fix it. Now." He jerked him up making the blond stumble a bit and laugh.

"Hey now. Settle down, I'm going." Roxas straightened himself and turned to his company. "I'll see you later, sweetheart. It was fun." He winked and met eyes with the glaring Royal Prince. "Guess I'm leading the way."

Fair said nothing but shot a hard glance at the other boy making him shrink where he sat. He followed the blond into the press box and asked everyone else to leave so it was just them. They sat for a moment until Fair spoke first.

"I should have known that any time you show up to anything we do, something goes wrong."

"What? Us rebels can't show school spirit in our own creative ways?" Roxas strode across the room and sat down on one of the swivel chairs, spun a few times, then stopped to meet his eye. "And have a little trouble-making in the process?"

"Asshat!" Sora exclaimed throwing his hands towards the Rebel. "You knew how much stress this whole event gave me and you choose to do this?" He gestured to the video playing. "Get rid of that and you can go back to your new plaything." Sora crossed his arms and leaned his back to the door.

Lockhart reached behind the monitor and pulled out the tiniest thumb drive the brunet ever seen. "I wouldn't call him a plaything. He was more like a distraction."

Instantly, the video, music, and computer returned to normal. The initial program resumed from where it froze displaying the girls' basketball team. Roxas got up from the chair and waved the thumb drive with a cocky smile and walked over to where Sora stood. "A distraction for you." He raised his hand and lightly tapped Fair's chin.

Sora scoffed. "Yeah, right. You did all of this just to grab my attention? How childish and a waste of time." But despite that, Sora had to stop himself from thinking it was kinda sweet but greatly idiotic.

"But it got you, didn't it?" The Rebel snaked his arms around the brunet's middle and came in close. "I worked hard to figure out a way to get you away from all this just so we could have a moment alone." He purred into his ear.

This was one of the blond's ways of keeping him within his confines. However, the brunet was not in the mood of entertaining and definitely not appeasing him.

"No, we are not doing this. Are fucking you serious right now?" He gave him the hardest glare. "You call interrupting our event and possibly humiliating many teachers a way of calling my attention?"

"But we haven't hung out since the locker room!" Roxas whined. "I missed you." He whispered the last bit low and nuzzled into the crook of his neck and shoulder.

"And you couldn't have chosen a better place and time to meet up with me?! I'm busy, Roxas. I can't put all my time aside just for you. Also, you were blatantly and openly flirting with someone from my faction and were practically down each other's pants. You shouldn't even be doing that!"

"And you're any better?" Lockhart rolled his eyes. "Excuse me. My memory might be a little foggy but…" He trailed off leaning closer to Sora so their noses touched. "A couple days ago, I remember giving a certain someone a good shower fuck. That someone also happens to be a prince too, which if I remember in our old, ass crack timey rules, that anything in secret association is a big no-no."

Sora didn't want to be reminded, but that event was miniscule and shouldn't be mentioned anywhere else on school grounds. "And the number of honorable things you've committed doesn't hold a candle to that. You should be dethroned." Sora shot back.

"But I haven't, have I? Only you have the power to do that, right? However, you, and your people have yet to do anything about it. So what does that tell me?" He stepped back looking down on the brunet. "You have and will always tolerate me. You won't do anything because you can't. You won't. Sora, you are just as guilty as I am just by willingly going with my whims. And now you think you can decide what I do and what we did is right or wrong and dare to threaten me? You see, one thing I really don't like about you is your pride being too strong to see your own flaws. You're just falsifying an age-old legacy while trying to maintain a win-win situation." Roxas frowned hard at Sora but continued on before the latter could interject. "But now I'm triple sure that your jealousy makes you even worse. I bet you don't even know it's there because like everything else, you ignore it. I'll return to my 'play-thing' as you call him. if that makes you feel better."

The Royal just stared at the blond for a long while. Sora drew a blank to how he could combat what he just said, but he wasn't too sure if there was anything he could deny. Sure, he was prideful. Many before Roxas had commented on that, but he wouldn't have thought that it would influence his judgment. And typically his decisions resulted to being good. Although, one thing he could care less about was his plans with that other boy.

"I don't care about him or whatever you do together. He is good as gone from my group if he deals with you." Sora pushed past the blond then turned the knob to open the door.

"And now you've done what I've asked of you so you can leave. I want the rest of my rally to go in peace and there better not be any more altercations."

"Fine. Alright." Roxas held up his hands in compliance. "Guess I've been too much of a hopeless romantic. I'll keep to my company then." He side-eyed him on his way out.

The door slowly closed shut and Sora heaved a heavy sigh before closed his eyes. It was silly that Lockhart thought he would go along with his stunt. What were they going to do here while hundreds of students were put on pause? Fair had known that the blond was a thrill-seeker at some points but not to this level. All for what? Seven minutes in heaven? The Rebel certainly hadn't changed in this regard since their kindergarten year. Although, some of what he said before bothered him. With all he is and for all he does, Sora has still kept him around. That much was a fact and he wasn't sure if he had to put everything since the time they had been appointed into question. Why had he tolerated him for so long? He wondered

A sudden knock at the metal door brought Fair out of his thoughts. At the other side, Yuffie swung it open and nearly hit Sora as she popped her head in.

"Are we good now?"

"Um, yeah." He stepped aside to allow the crew back in. "I think I'm gonna go though. Thanks for waiting guys and page me if you need anything."

They muttered their goodbyes and Sora left the room. He grabbed his walkie talkie and sounded off with an update and hoped everything else was working as planned. However, it didn't distract him long enough to notice Lockhart ahead of him with the other boy in tow. Fair watched them go arm-in-arm heading eastward towards the school. They were laughing and Roxas stuck to him close leading the way. The brunet forced himself to divert his gaze and commune his way.

He didn't care.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-

It was a new week and a new day and that day was a Friday. Fridays were the days when Sora and Lockhart met to work on their worksheets, but the brunet was getting increasingly annoyed that the blond was running late again. They choose to meet at his house and Roxas would be meeting him once he finished whatever errand he had to complete. Whatever he was doing was taking longer than Sora expected and it was starting to get pretty dark out. It didn't help that today of all days was when he was in his moods and hoped Lockhart wouldn't flake on him. Although, he's been doing that a lot recently.

But to Sora's relief, things were mostly returning to some sort of normalcy. To be back in his regular schedule was rejuvenating with managing his expenses, time, and doing whatever else that needed to be done. In terms of academics, he had been improving and Lockhart had proven to be useful in that regard. Since their little chat in the press room, the brunet's attitude towards him changed. It was neither good or bad but there was a clear shift. Before, the brunet found himself in his unexpected company. Roxas always seemed to find a way of getting into his personal agendas and the boy was slowly getting used to it. But after the rally, the royal found that he saw less and less of him. Sora didn't think much of it at first since he would imagine that everyone has their own agenda, but his appearances were becoming less frequent.

In place of him though, he was spending more time with his friends which was a good thing. Riku had been more present. Kairi was also there, but most times she would spend her times with her girlfriends. Spending time with the boys became less frequent it seemed. Although, Riku would wait for him after class or sometimes drove him home, or go out of his way to help him with errands. The brunet didn't mind it since they got to spend more time together outside of school and sports, but some of his actions were starting to feel a bit overbearing. It was strange as if he was some sort of helicopter parent and ever-present at the times he'd least expect. Such as the times when he volunteers to help his teachers, Riku would come with. Or the times when he went to the bathroom, oddly enough the silvert may join too. It was as if he was making every excuse to be within his presence. Anyone would have passed it off as playing catch-up, but the brunet was starting to notice that he seemed to be looking out for something. He just couldn't quite place it.

Through all of it... still felt lacking, and Fair noticed everything else more.

He heard it in the cafeteria when Lockhart laughed at some sort of joke a few tables down. They would meet eyes and he would still see that they were kinder and gentler before he would quickly look away. They didn't always share a glance, but when they did it would snap Sora back to their moments. Involuntarily and instantly, he would remember the feel of his lips on his skin, the soft caress of his fingers, or the shivers that would ripple through him. Fair didn't want to think about it and he was finding it increasingly hard to calm the warmth and arousal he felt. Everyone around him was none the wiser of what they had done or would do. It was their secret, and if anyone found out it would cost him everything.

Roxas had been right about one thing, and the brunet was sure that he understood what he meant. All of this... was all a sick joke, and Sora was riding on the exhilaration it gave him.

The tricky part of the matter was that it should have meant nothing to him. They would have their exchanges and the Royal would get what he wanted at the moment. They had their agreement so there shouldn't have been anything that was so trivial. But it was. He was getting used to it. He was expecting it. But right now he felt that he was being ignored, and he wasn't liking that very much.

Over a week since the rally, Sora had remembered what he'd forgotten. Lockhart was almost never lacking in "companions". Like the boy from the rally, he would see them wrapped around him like some sort of accessory. There were many moments when he would run into them together. He would spy them in not so hidden areas: bathrooms, behind buildings, among the mid-rising bushes, or even not so empty classrooms or rec areas. He could see that the Rebel was spending more time with people of different characters, and he seemed to be making sure that the brunet could see it too. He was going back to his old habits and Sora didn't quite know how to feel about it.

Sora sighed in annoyance.

The brunet turned over in his bed and checked his phone for any new messages. There were none.

It was a few minutes past seven and Sora thought it would be best to put away some of the snacks he had laid out for their session. This time, he made an assortment of fruits but he didn't want them to go bad on the account of someone failing to show up. Grumbling, the Royal slide off his bed and took the bowl and headed out of his room and towards his kitchen. As he was making his way down the stairs, his phone vibrated in his pocket and fished it out to see it was from Roxas.

I'm on my way in

7:07pm

Fair sucked his teeth and continued on route into the kitchen. He pulled out the saran wrap when he heard the front door.

"You could have told me you were going to be late." Sora called as he wrapped up the bowl and heard Roxas shuffle into the room.

"Well, I got held back." The blond intoned moving towards the brunet and spying the assortment. "Ooooh. Are we getting fancy with the snacks tonight?" Roxas snatched the bowl from Fair, unwrapped it, and popped a few pieces of honeydew and watermelon in his mouth.

"First, rude. And second, I would have greatly appreciated any sort of notification without waiting since 4pm!" He turned and finally laid eyes on Lockhart since he walked in.

The Royal wasn't expecting the Rebel's appearance. His hair was dampened and there was a slight fragrance of soap. He was also wearing an oversized sweater and baggy cargo pants. This wasn't how Lockhart normally dressed, and Sora would have dismissed it since it was chillier out. But his way of arrival told the prince it was something else. The question played on his tongue. He wanted to know but didn't. The answer was so very obvious.

Sora bit his inner cheek to subdue whatever negative emotion he almost felt and said nothing.

"Taking these up?" Roxas asked with a mouth full of fruits.

"No, actually. I was about to put them away since I left them out for so long waiting for you." Sora made to grab the bowl but Roxas flinches away.

"I'm starving so this'll do. Let's get to it. Leon is expecting me back at nine so I can't waste time."

But you've wasted mine.

"Sure, fine. Whatever." Sora mumbled in irritance and followed the blond out and up to his room.

Lockhart was the first to dive bomb into his bed before the brunet closed the door. Chimes of notifications from the Rebel's phone sounded but he yet paid attention to them.

"Before we do anything else, what do you need help with?" Roxas unzipped his bags and pulled out his worksheets. Sora joined him sitting at the edge of his bed and picked up his packet from his desk.

"Uh, yeah. For number three and five, can you help me solve for the isotopes of these equations?"

And so both teens worked.

This was what they did when they came together. The Royal mostly worked on his sheets and Roxas helping him anytime he got stuck. Occasionally, Lockhart would ask for him to help with his chemistry, but they would also aid each other in memorizing terms and concepts for their upcoming tests. What had started just for algebra, it turned into their private study time. This was their routine every Friday; however, this time around it was different.

Throughout most of it, Roxas would receive messages. Normally, Sora didn't care if he was carrying a conversation through text or over the phone, but this time it was persistent. The sound of him chuckling and sometimes replying aloud made the brunet lose his focus. It was irritating enough that he showed up late, so what could have been so interesting for him not to use his time efficiently when that was what they were supposed to do?

Glowering and having about enough, Sora reached over and plucked the blond's phone from his hands.

"Hey!" Roxas barked. "What the hell?" He tried to reach after his phone but Sora moved away like he did with the fruit bowl.

"Who the hell are you talking to?" Fair stared at the screen looking through the recent messages.

"That's none of your business. Now give it." He grumbled reaching further.

Sora ignored him and clicked through his phone. He saw messages from people he clearly didn't recognize. There were crude jokes, not so very safe for work messages, and very nasty messages directed to the Rebel. It almost shocked him with how many of those types he received. Sora almost commented on it until the phone buzzed with a new message.

"Stop Sora! I'm serious!" Roxas exclaimed almost reaching his phone but Fair hopped off his bed and avoided the blond as he chased him.

Fair skimmed through the conversation. Whoever Lockhart had been talking to was getting really hot and heavy with details of what they wanted to do with each other. When he scrolled up, he almost gagged seeing a very shaky image of a dick pic. It was certainly not one of the best penises he had seen. The football comparatively left much to be desired.

"Jesus Christ, Sora." He finally managed to grab his phone from the brunet. "Don't you know when to lay off?"

"Do you ever?" He retorted. The blond side-eyed him and tapped a few buttons shutting off his phone.

"Didn't think you were so hell-bent, but if that is what you want." The blond turned and returned to Sora's immense bed and continued to lounge amongst his work.

Fair didn't join him immediately. He instead felt a small bit of dejection but a lot of frustration. Shaking his head, he wanted to change course. He moved to his bed and moved all their papers aside and Roxas gazed upon him confused.

"Now what?" The Rebel questioned watching as Sora sat beside him. His hand reached over and rested on the other side of the Roxas' body as he laid along the bed.

"I'm getting tired… and bored." The Royal normally wouldn't initiate putting himself within the blond's personal space, but for all this week Sora had been seeking some sort of stimulation from him.

"And what do you want me to do about it?"

Sora bit his lip and eyed Roxas' sweater. "Doesn't have to be anything in particular." He made to touch the hem of the collar but the Rebel sat up straight looking him in the eye.

"Sora. What exactly do you want right now?" His tone didn't have its usual flirtatious drawl. He sounded to be asking a genuine question and not a hint of anything the brunet was used to. So he answered.

"I want to stop doing homework right now."

"And?"

"...I…" He paused, searching for his words. "I would rather be doing something more fun." Fair leaned a bit into Lockhart eyeing his soft looking lips.

"And that would be?"

"You already know what it is." He said softly before confidently taking Roxas lips into his own.

The blond didn't respond to the kiss at first, so it forced Sora to be more aggressive in encouraging the other. Not breaking their contact, Sora straddled Roxas and brought his head into his hands putting him at an angle to deepen the kiss. The brunet then lightly wrapped his arms around his neck tasting a hint of strawberries and melon on his lips. Sighing through his nose in contentment, his body decided to take control and he barely registered himself pushing Lockhart down onto the bed and pinning him beneath him. Sora could feel his body relax in familiarity feeling Roxas' hands slowly creep up his thighs and hips. The Royal's skin rippled with goosebumps as the other's hands rode up his shirt and felt the cool touch of his fingers.

Fair gave a soft gasp. The more the two stretched themselves out against each other, the more tangled their arms and legs became. Sora tried not to shudder as Roxas brought his leg up and brushed it against the brunet's growing hard-on. But the Royal had learned this time around to not get so greedy. He took his time kissing Lockhart. Letting their mouths and hands wrestle and feel what they wanted at a comfortable pace. Fair took some joy hearing Roxas' sighs below him. He even dared to move away from the blond's enticing lips and moving down his jaw to his neck. Sora could still smell the soap on his skin and it was a grim reminder of what the blond had done before coming to his home. The thought nearly put him off and Sora didn't want to smell it anymore, or ever again.

"Wow, um…" Roxas said low in a whisper. "...this is different."

"Mm." Sora hummed reaching behind himself to reach the blond's hands that were lightly wrapped around his middle. He took them in hand and laid them down on either side of his body. Sora pulled away and took pride in the Rebel's state. His face as slightly flushed pinked and his hair tousled.

"I got tired of waiting. I've decided to do what I want without asking since that seems to work for you." The brunet intertwined their fingers and gave a small grin.

"Oh." Roxas blushed redder and it almost made Sora chuckle.

Because things didn't seem to be going the Royal's way, he wanted to change things up. He wanted to do something different so that he wasn't just sitting there expecting things to just happen. Seeing the blond pushed down to his sheets brought him a sense of excitement. Thinking up another idea, Sora grabbed the hem of Roxas' sweater to pull it over his head. However, in the next moment he found himself dizzy. It took him a moment to realize that Lockhart had somehow flipped them so instead the blond was hovering above the Royal. Sora felt slightly uncomfortable with the papers and pencils stabbing at his back and side, and yet he gazed up at the blond wondering why they were like this longer than he liked. Fair took the moment to figure out what Roxas was going to do, but he did nothing and stared down at him.

"What's wrong?" Sora questioned in confusion.

Lockhart didn't immediately answer. "As much as it makes me hot and bothered to have you see me the same way I see you…" He hung there but slowly removed himself from the brunet. "I don't want to do this right now."

Fair blinked once. Then twice.

"...What?" He blurted aloud.

The blond busied his hair. "You heard me...I'm not really feeling it right now."

"Oh." Sora breathed. "Huh." He gently brought himself up and stared at his feet then turned to the blond.

There as an awkward moment and neither said anything for a while. It was strange. Roxas had been acting different recently, but it wasn't like him to reject any sort of physical interactions he had with the Royal. Normally, he would be all over him in the drop of the hat as soon as his differences were down. His hands weren't on him and he hasn't been flirtatious. Sora watched as he once again checked his phone. Roxas looked to be distracted. Uninterested.

Sora clicked his tongue. "I understand. You must be tired from giving before you came here." Roxas gave him a sharp look. "Maybe it's best that you go home. Matter of fact," Fair paused and slid off his bed and started collecting his worksheets to put away. "Since you have time to play around, why don't you continue that?" He suggested trying to ignore the disappointment he felt.

"Excuse me? What's with the pissy tone and attitude? I don't know what you talking about or what you thought I was up to before coming over." The blond held a deep frown and swung his legs around to hang off the bed. "I had to go home and take care of some things that Leon wanted me to do. A friend came over uninvited, so I had no choice but to deal with them." He shook his head and rolled his eyes with a smile. "I knew you had a temper, but I wouldn't have thought your jealousy would influence your degree of passive aggressiveness."

"I am NOT jealous. I'm pissed because you're wasting my time." Fair huffed.

"Because I said no? Wow. What are you in a hurry for? But still, it gives me great joy that would be so impatient for all of this." Roxas motioned up and down of all of himself smirking.

Fair scoffed and turned away blushing. There was no way of denying it. The brunet has been sexually frustrated as of recently, and Roxas was the only person whom he thought was the safest to seek that attention from. There weren't any others that the Royal could turn to that had the same level of trust and history like they did. Although, he had to make one thing clear so there wouldn't be any future misunderstanding.

"Okay, I'll be honest. I didn't care much to study today. I wanted sex. Period. And I'm mad that you've been purposely avoiding me, turning up whenever you want to, and expect me to just take it and wait until you feel like it? But for some reason, you can easily do it with whomever you can get wrapped around your finger. Anywhere at any time!"

"And who do you think you are compared to them?" Roxas sighed. "Sora, you're just as much of a teen as I am with raging hormones and lots and places to put them. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I'm just not up to it today. We have all the time to do that and more later."

"There won't always be a later." Fair spat back.

"That doesn't have to be." The blond muttered.

"But that's the thing Roxas." Sora turned to the blond looking at him square. "All of this isn't going to continue. All this is temporary and so are you." Lockhart as silent, clearly not expecting Sora's statement as he commenced. "I don't know where you think this thing between you and I will last. It won't. Like this assignment, our classes, this year, and everything else that immediately concerns us lasts for a period. Eventually, we will move on and I won't need you for my temporary fixes. In the future, I'll likely find someone else, so I don't want you banking on me since I'm not on you."

There as a pregnant pause as Roxas' features were flat then turned stern. "Oh, so now your keen on talking the 'short term'. Well, bluebird, I've been past that now. Since it seems we're gonna just lay it out there, it's my turn to be honest. I'm trying to make choices that change that for you and me. So instead of being fixated on the now, let's address us for the later."

"I don't see anything that needs to be talked about between you and I right now." The Royal crossed his arms. "I don't think you're listening to me, again. There will be no later for us."

"Not if we don't take the time and talk about when we were kids!" Roxas stood to his feet now. "I would rather revisit that than this."

Sora upturned his gaze. "This again?" He was tired of that coming up.

"Yes, this again." Roxas' shoulder slumped a bit. "I'm serious about it...and you. I want to be able to sit down and fix things. You have no idea of all the things I've had to do to get here with you and try to mend our fractured relationship."

"So you call harassing, taunting, inserting, and interfering with me and my work a way of fixing things? Lockhart, your methods are absurd. Why did you think any of that would work?"

"Because, Sora, I couldn't think of anything else! You became someone practically untouchable. Unreachable, even."

"So whoring yourself out, misusing your influence, and messing with people in my group was the way to do it? That red-headed friend of yours was likely cleaner about it than you! At this rate, you shouldn't even keep your title at the school!"

"But those things don't fucking matter!" The blond came over and gripped Sora's shoulders. "Listen. You and I both know I did fucked up shit when we were younger. But after a while and when I got out-"

"Got out?" The brunet brushed Roxas' hands aside. "What do you mean 'Got out'? Of where?"

The latter chewed his lip realizing that Sora probably didn't know what happened after they separated. It wasn't some type of secret, but most of everyone around him knew where he had been for many months and years. Roxas breathed in deep then let it out.

"...Juvenile detention."

Fair lifted his head a little and blinked in a way that the blond recognized him non-verbally saying; I see. "So that is where you've been? And for some reason, you think it is okay for me to associate with someone like you with this knowledge?"

"That was then. This is now. I've done a lot of changing since and I would greatly appreciate it if you'd allow me the chance." He pleaded.

A snort and a laugh were all the blond gotten in response. "You do realize that I'm not married to you Lockhart? I don't owe you shit and I'm through talking about this, jailbird." Sora bit pushing past him. It only seemed to irritate Roxas more and he grabbed the brunet and spun him around to face him.

"So, when are we gonna have this conversation? Huh?! I'm trying to put some effort here to make things better but you're giving me shit! You can love, support, and be there for your friends but you can't even bat an eye to the old one standing in front of you! How is any of that far?" Lockhart's voice raised bringing the Royal to a momentary silence.

"Roxas." Sora breathed. "I know how you look at me and it's very apparent. I'm not stupid. I can see that you want something other than friendship, right? That is where that conversation will lead and I want neither to happen. But do you know what's fair, Roxas?" The brunet took one step and bruised their lips together. Sora forcibly made the Rebel part his lips, brushed his tongue along Roxas' and traced his upper lip. They shared a challenging look as the brunet retracted. "This... this is what's fair after all the shit you put me and my friends through… and now. This is all I'm agreeing to. Nothing more."

Quiet fell between them again. Roxas opened his mouth ready to combat him but closed it. He shook his head smiling, his bit the side of his lower lip that made it hard to distinguish if he was in disbelief or amusement. He watched as he glanced at the floor, one hand shaking as he looked to be thinking of what to say next. Said hand stopped and moved to reach Sora's but stalled then instead took his chin. Icy blues laid on stubborn cerulean hues. Roxas' eyes were unreadable and blank. Piercing and steely.

"Still in the mood to fuck?" Lockhart deadpanned, but Fair felt ultimately unfazed.

"You successfully got me out of the mood."

Roxas gave the emptiest smile the Royal had ever seen. "It's okay. Hate fucking is fun too."

Puffy bottom lip, quivering legs, vice grip on his hair, curling toes, and panting breath was all Roxas could envision and hear as he was throat deep into Sora's cock. Through pitiful attempts, the brunet tried to pry him off, but Lockhart steadfast refusing to listen to Sora's wanton pleas. He kept him still by digging his nails into his skin when he pulled his locks too hard.

"Haa! Ah...please w-wait. Ngh!" Sora panted. "Y-You're doing... haha...too much!"

But Roxas knew exactly what he was doing. He alternately used his hand when he broke for air, and then went back to going down on the whimpering Royal with his tricks. Lockhart lightly raked his fingertips across his upper and lower thighs and lapped his tongue around Sora's dripping head.

"Ah! Don't!" Fair cried as the blond ever so gently ran his teeth along his shaft and sucked roughly at the tip. "Fuck!"

The Rebel would have laughed with how much his counterpart unashamedly swore when he felt immense pleasure. But Roxas couldn't do that right now. His main focus right now was just pleasing him. There wasn't much else he cared for at the moment; not even himself.

Using a free hand, the blond gentle cupped and massaged Sora's scrotum. Occasionally, he took one testi into his mouth and marveled as the brunet tightened and pulsed in his hand as he teased every sensitive part of him. When Fair wasn't vocalizing, this was his way of telling Roxas that he felt good. He glanced up to see Sora capsizing over his bed barely managing to keep himself up. His face was bright red down to his neck. His refusals turned to demands and soon not bothering to resist bucking further into his mouth.

"Mmff! M-more at the tip. Yes, yeeessss-" Sora choked on his word, gasping and rolling his hips and further pushing the blond's head down. "S-Shit! So close!"

Lockhart came up just enough to speak around his shaft. "Then cum." The reverberations of his voice sent chills through the brunet and he grabbed for the sheets below him.

"N-No!"

"Cum."

A beat followed by a strangled cry and Roxas swallowed all of Sora as he released long and deep in his mouth. He closed his eyes allowing the Royal to empty himself and tried not to think of his taste and how thick of a load he gave. When the Rebel believed he as done, he pulled away and climbed over the gasping brunet sprawled about his bed. He entertained the idea of bending down and giving Sora a taste of himself, but he decided against it and took a hearty gulp.

"You… could have just… spit it out." Sora mumbled breathless having not yet come down from his orgasmic high.

Roxas shrugged whipping the corner of his mouth with his wrist. "Spitters are quitters."

"But-"

"Just shut up."

The blond shifted and grabbed for his discarded backpack and searched around the small compartments until he pulled out a couple of condoms. He looked back at the brunet then the few he had in hand before stuffing all but one back.

"This is more your size." He muttered unzipping and removing his pants.

"My...size?" Fair propped himself back up on his elbows and watched the Rebel unwrap the latex condom and uncoil it around his softening member. "What are you doing ? I-I just came! Nmph!" A groan escaped his throat whilst Roxas stroked him.

"Stop bitching and just feel, okay?" Lockhart leaned forwards and pressed his lips to his jaw, nipping his heated skin and grazing his teeth to his earlobe. "We're going to be doing something different" He trailed off, straddling the brunet and brushing his backside to his shaft. "You are gonna do me."

At that, Sora paled. "I-I-I can't!" He tried to sit up but the blond blocked him. "I've never done it before. I don't know how! Can't we just keep it simple? A handjob is fine." He averted his eyes swelling thickly and blushing.

"Blue, it's not hard. Also, you don't have to worry." Roxas pushed him back down. "I'll do all the work." He smiled reaching moving just so Fair dick rubbed against his awaiting entrance. He grabbed for Sora's free hand and guided him to his neglected member. "Stroke me."

Sora worried his lip but did as the blond said. The Rebel closed his eyes and hummed in satisfaction at finally being tended to. He could feel the brunet's eyes on him analyzing every twitch of his face and movement he made. However, Roxas didn't want to show how much he was enjoying this or make too much of a sound of arousal. This wasn't about him after all.

Gradually, Lockhart worked Sora into him. There wasn't much resistance or need for preparation since his body was used to this sort of penetration. Quietly encouraging the Royal to keep stroking him as he adjusted, Roxas let out a deep sigh feeling Sora twitch within him and trying to suppress himself. He had thought that this moment would have been more pleasurable. Almost equal to the time the blond had taken the brunet in the showers. Although the change in personal incentive has shifted Lockhart's expectations of the moment. This wasn't how he wanted to do it at all.

"Ooh, fuck…" Sora breathed. "D-Does it always feel like this?" He questioned. His head falling back into his pillows.

Roxas couldn't stop a chuckled passing his lips. "This is how I always feel." The Rebel brought his hands up to press them flat on either side of Sora's head. "Doing okay?" Sora silently nodded.

"Ready for me to move?"

"N-No. I need a second-"

"Too bad." Roxas interrupted and slowly rolled his hips forward and back taking in Sora's hisses and groans into his lips.

He thankfully wasn't too big or small. The blond could take him easy. Lockhart let him grip his hips as he whimpered into their kiss and grinded into him. Even though it was all one-sided, it was enough for the Rebel to know that Sora's fulfillment was also his own. At least in this regard, he was doing something right. But since they began, Roxas was still miffed to everything leading up to it. Only for a moment, he allowed his anger slip and so did his tongue.

"How does it feel?" He asked between breathy words. He had picked up his pace riding the brunet.

Fair's hands were at his sides guiding him as he rode. Roxas could tell he wanted him to pick up his tempo by how he tried to move him along his grind. "G-Good."

Lockhart grinned. "Good." He remarked. "It must be knowing that the most looked up to figure of our school is fucking the Prince of the Rebels. Have you forgotten that's who I am?"

"Haah- n-no!"

"I knew you were some sort of freak. You like this don't you?" They locked eyes. "Doing something you know you damn well shouldn't." As he glared down at him, he tried to burn the brunet's expression in his mind.

His eyes were glistening, jaw clenched, and his skin looked to be on fire. He certainly liked being talked down to during sex, Roxas guessed. This only spurred the teen to move harder and faster until he could hear the bed creaking beneath them. Sora moaned louder. Lockhart continued on even through troubled breath.

"Mmm, you like doing a detention bird?...Hah... H-Huh? S-Someone so troublesome and difficult as me in your pants?" Roxas words got progressively louder and he then braced himself against Sora's headboard to give him more leverage. As much he didn't want to, the blond was feeling good and was losing his composure.

"You think...this is what I wanted?... D-Damn." He hissed. A shiver ran through him. "To make you one of many?"

"L-Lockhart. What are you-" Roxas covered Sora's mouth with his palm. He didn't want to listen to him right now. He was going to say what he wanted to say no matter what.

"Do you t-think I'd settle…. for this? W-Well…. I don't want to! I'm trying Sora! Changed even. Loved even...and this is what I get in return? Bullshit?"

The Royal's breath was hot on his hand. His lids flickered trying to keep them open. His heaving chest told the blond he as close.

"So I'll do this… like you want….because I…give a damn."

He removed his hand but then pulled him to his lips before he could say anything contrary. His tongue dove deep and licked every curve and crevice. He stayed latched to him wherever his mouth could reach. For the last few moments, all words were dismissed and replaced by ecstasy filled moans and gasps. Sora was at a loss for what to do or feel after the blond's angered rant. And the Rebel felt everything was heightened by said anger and wanted nothing more than to just ride out the moment. It must have been the sight of Lockhart pulling back that did it for the Royal. His rumbled sweater that heated him enough to form a shine of sweat on his skin and the now stretched and lopsided collar hanging off his shoulder. Him changing his angel and constricting himself around Sora that finally set him off the edge.

"R-Roxas! I c-c-can't!" The brunet squeezed his eyes shut.

"Then don't." He slowed himself down. "Finish." He commanded and Fair did.

Roxas tilted his head back and sighed finally glad that he could have himself a rest. He didn't quite obtain his release, but that was okay. When the Royal below him quieted, Lockhart climbed off the brunet and removed the condom to tie up and discard. Roxas grabbed a handful of tissue from Sora's desk and toss them beside his immobile form. Sliding off his bed, he found and shrugged on his underwear and pants.

Roxas could hear the beginnings of Sora's questioning of what he was doing but he ignored them and slipped on his shoes. "It's nearly nine. I'm leaving." He mumbled fixing his clothes and hair.

"But R-Roxas." Sora coughed once clearing his throat. "You didn't….What you said earlier-"

"Doesn't matter."

He quickly walked out of his room and slammed the door before he could hear Fair say anything more. He also ignored the fact that Xion also happened to be in the hall as he stormed past her and ignored her call. Roxas was fast and out the door before either of them could follow.

Walking home, it all came crashing down with how unsatisfactory everything was. He hadn't had to think of the last time he had sex that felt like nothing to him more than the moment he had with Sora. Anything he did with him - even something as innocent as kissing - felt so different. With him, it felt real. It was nothing like the previous he had experienced. Although in accordance to the revelation he had received tonight, the moment that had felt good turned sour.

But he should have guessed it.

A fitting deal for fitting ways. Had the blond realized sooner that Sora was only amusing him for his sexual gratification, he would have taken a different approach. Right now, he felt used. Although, the saddest part of it was that he thought he had learned enough not to end up feeling this way. Hurt. But was there any blame? No doubt the blond's infamousy and identity around his town influenced it. However, was he solely at fault?

And for a long while he has tried conveying Sora his wishes. He tried chiseling away at his defenses to reach anything civil. Tried to be honest and in his own way… appear normal. There was so much the blond was holding back. There was so much he had wished to share with his old friend. But what was left for him to do if he wasn't given that chance? How could Roxas get Sora to see him outside what everyone else saw?

Lockhart wasn't sure. He wasn't too sure of anything anymore.

[Luka, remember when I asked you about the switch thing? Well by now you know you called it LOL]

I love the fact I can look at Sora in my story and call him an asshole. LOTS OF REVELATIONS WERE MADE AND I'M EXCITED BECAUSE WE'RE SOOOOO CLOSE. The next chapter is gonna be Sora-centric, and I'm hoping I can stick to the outline this time and not have to change too much.

But I'm honestly amazed that I was able to stick with this story for this long. And I still thank those who have waited during the time I was focusing on my academics. I appreciate you all, but I still would love to know how I'm and the story is doing. Your reviews are a big part of why I keep going, but I don't want to end up coming close to discontinuing this like I nearly did years ago. You guys are my flame, and I want to keep this burning to the end now that we're less than halfway through.

Please, any type of criticism and opinion on what you think will happen next. Share it. I love it all!

Until next time,
