Back in the Swing of Things:
All the teachers enjoyed having Kendall back and by lunch she had already spoke to the student council to see if she had missed anything or if there was anything she needed to make up. However, they told not to worry, and that everything was taken care of, they only needed assistance on future events and stuff, and were happy to have her back. Kick and the others decided to meet in their spot under the gazebo since the weather from the previous days made it unlikely for the group to go to their usual spot under the tree. Once there though, they couldn't stop hugging Kendall and when Brianna saw her, she ran up and gave her the hugest hug she could muster.
"I'm so happy you are back! You are mine now, you know!" Brianna hugged her tighter.
"You can't just claim someone Brianna." Teena laughed.
"Yeah, especially not Kendall!" Nicolette, Loraina, and Ramia argued. Everyone laughed.
"Though I thought someone else would have claimed her before you did Bri." Scarlet giggled having a small glance toward a certain daredevil.
"Please… she is mine and I called it fair and square." Brianna replied sticking out her tongue.
"I'm not trying to start anything, but I thought Jackie owned me from like way back in middle school or freshman year." Kendall giggled at their silliness, oblivious to Scarlet's aimed look.
"HA! I win!" Jackie put her arms up at the victory.
"What?!" The other girls squealed as they joked about.
"Oh brother… looks like everything is back to normal huh?" Mouth questioned the guys.
"Yep." The twins replied. Kick smiled.
"Yeah…" He spoke quietly enjoying having Kendall there and seeing her laugh.
"Oh Kendall!" Gunther blurted out. "Did we tell you that Kick did the Creek Hollow stunt and the Callahan challenge?"
"What? You're kidding and I missed it?" She was amazed at the fact he did those.
"You didn't miss much… Kick barely made it on both." Brianna informed.
"Did not!" Kick argued.
"Oh really? Mister Slide and Fall?" She teased him.
"It's not as bad as your weekend pageant a few weeks ago, taking second…again." Kick retorted.
"Hey!" She glared.
"If you want to talk about making things." He smirked with his remark. Everyone laughed as the two siblings argued.
"Okay you two, knock it off." Nicolette pointed at them.
"Wow…. I've missed so much…" Kendall had a small smile, though she was enjoying herself being back, felt guilty for missing out on so much with her friends. Jackie glanced at her.
"Not on your own accord you know… it was completely understandable." She told her wanting to comfort her.
"Besides anyone would have done what you did." Teena added. "Hell I doubt if some kids would be even back in school. But we're just glad you are." She reassured. Kendall smiled.
"I am too…. But I am sorry I didn't tell you guys a lot…" She looked down. 'That's not how a friend is supposed to be…. Especially one who considers you guys as a family.' She thought.
"You didn't need to. We understand…" Nicolette began.
"You went through a lot and that's hard for anyone." Mouth continued.
"You guys don't feel like I betrayed your trust or…" Kendall brought up, concerned.
"Kendall we would never think that. We're your friends. Heck you're more than that! The only thing we ever worried about was you and whether or not you were going to be okay." Jackie interrupted her. "The other stuff didn't matter because we knew it was hard for you. We only cared about you Kendall." She assured her with a comforting smile.
"We just missed you a lot Kendall." Kick added. Kendall flushed, and thought she might even cry.
"I really have too good of friends…" She spoke, Jackie hugging her again. The others also going for a big group hug. She hugged back tightly.
"Oh how sweet…." A voice interrupted. The hug broke apart and Kick stood up glaring at the person. Jackie stayed close to Kendall. "Hug fest all around for the little one."
"Ronaldo." Kick was pissed.
"What the hell do you want?" Brianna and Nicolette were annoyed.
"Thought I come see the little thing, seeing as she decided to show her face finally." He glanced at Kendall. "You know there was a bet going around with how long you actually make it with everything that happened."
"Ronaldo say one more thing…" Kick sneered, as Gunther got up to stand next to him.
"Or you'll what Buttowski? Have another hollow threat?" Gordie came up behind Ronaldo, the Dipazzi twins following.
"Gordie." Mouth and Gunther glared as the others started to get up.
"Last time I checked I came through on all my threats." Kick retorted.
"Really? I don't remember that, I just remember you being stopped all the time, which you kept saying no one would stop you." Ronaldo smirked.
"I'd say those are really hollow threats." Gordie laughed.
"You really sound like a girl choking." Brianna mocked the way he said really. Gordie glared.
"Watch it princess wannabe!" Gordie shot back.
"What'd you call me?" Brianna got a look that could kill.
"You heard me pageant diva." Gordie smirked. Brianna was about to pounce and bring hell, but Mouth held her back.
"Oh you should talk." Mouth countered, keeping Brianna at bay. "Wearing make-up and fake eye lashes all the time." Mouth had his own sly look. Gordie got a little flushed embarrassed, but also pissed now. Kick's group laughed though.
"He wears fake eye lashes?!" Teena busted up laughing.
"No wonder he has girlish eyes." Scarlet added.
"Oh shut up! At least I look a hundred times better than all of you!" Gordie declared.
"You don't have to prove yourself to them Gordie." Michael stated.
"Yeah we know you're the best and no one is better than our group." Anthony continued.
"Oh really, you idiots believe that do you?" Brianna questioned calmer now.
"Please the only thing you blockheads are, are a ridiculous group of idiotic assholes." Scarlet folded her arms.
"Really?" Ronaldo narrowed his eyes.
"Please Buttowski can't even beat us. Hell everyone knows I beat him at everything from races to events to even being great." Gordie gloated.
"Only because you cheat!" Gunther, Mouth, Jackie and Brianna fired back.
"Not to mention you have an inflated ego and big ass head!" Brianna added.
"I do not!" Gordie argued. "My skills are just better and the judges know it! Plus I have more confidence." He boasted.
"That and you let your daddy's money do all the talking for you. Just so you can buy the results you want." Jackie retorted. Gordie glared at her.
"What was that four eyed freak?!"
"Don't call her that!" Gunther got pissed about ready to pounce.
"Oh but why shouldn't I?" He made a mocking sad face. "Everyone knows she's still wacky freaky Jackie. The girl who will always be a loser and hang around second best people to try and be cool." He started to laugh. Jackie looked away. "I mean she can't even see that she's not cool and is just annoying. I bet the people you call your friends don't even want to be around you and try to get away from you all the time. They probably think you're annoying and truthfully who can blame them." He laughed more. "You'll never have any true friends with the fact your still a whack job who doesn't know her place as a loser and who needs to stop trying to be cool. Though I guess with you trying to hang out with these losers, go figure. You'll still never have any true friends." Gordie sneered as he laughed at his insults as the three boys he was with joined him. Jackie looked down. Gunther was about to throw a punch for everything he said. However, the sudden sound of a smack halted everyone. Gordie was shocked as he felt his cheek as he was the one to receive the blow. He looked at the one who did it.
"Don't ever! Don't ever talk about my best friend like that again!" Kendall harshly spoke with a look that could kill. "You don't know a thing about her! You act all smug, but when it comes right to it the only thing people see when they look at you is money signs and a spoiled brat." Kendall retorted. "The only skill you will ever know is that of how deep your daddy's pockets go, but I bet the second your daddy cuts you off that money train, the one looking around for true friends will be you." She continued. "If anyone is uncool here it's you, the true loser." Gordie glared down at her.
"Well somebody is sure learning from their daddy issues, aren't they?" Ronaldo had a sly look, folding his arms. "Interesting you're standing up for her, when you can't even defend yourself." Kendall glanced at him, narrowing her eyes further. "How pathetic and weak."
"Last time I checked I gave you a pretty good right hook, as did he." Kendall glanced back at Kick quickly before returning her glare to Ronaldo. "You really want them to prove to your idiots how stupid you all are?"
"How would Buttowski and your pathetic friends do that?" Ronaldo glanced at the whole group.
"Quite a few ways if you ask me, since we're stronger than you." Gunther stepped forward.
"And smarter." Brianna added.
"Plus we have true real skill and talent. Not some fake status." Scarlet continued.
"Point is, you idiots will lose against us, no matter what." Kick stood next to Kendall, while the others were behind him in an A-like formation.
"Take your pick boys." Loraina smiled triumphantly.
"Either be embarrassed now or save your reputations and walk away." Nicolette finished the sentence.
"Because we can deal with any option you give us." Mouth informed. Gordie and Ronaldo glared.
"It's your choice." Jackie folded her arms.
"Funny you should say that…" A girl stepped forward, followed by her own group of girls.
"Debbie." Loraina just glared.
"If anyone should be talking about skill, intelligence and strength, it should be our group. Since you morons clearly are so down on the totem pole that the only reason people look your way is because of those two imbecile's fame." She countered. "None of you really have any popularity or brains."
"Plus adding second place Brianna really does nothing to help, in fact it only makes your group worse." Penelope snickered as she smirked towards the blond, folding her arms. Brianna narrowed her eyes.
"I guess the Buttowski's are always a second rate family…or should I say second place." Gordie chuckled. Brianna and Kick folded their arms.
"Excuse me?" Brianna spoke darkly and low. She was about to throw a punch, if not really throw down.
"Oh is poor Brianna hard of hearing?" Penelope mocked. "You really are stupid huh. Though what can I expect since you'll never match up to me." She laughed. "I mean your whole group is second best if not worst."
"I can agree to that." Gordie laughed, the others also chiming in.
"You are all really annoying you know that." Scarlet folded her arms, glaring.
"Down right pathetic if you ask me." Teena added.
"Well it's a good thing we didn't ask you then." Debbie stated with a sly look.
"You're just asking for it." Nicolette glared more.
"Oh really? I'd like to see you do something then, since you're always willing to throw the first punch." Clare chimed in.
"You don't know how to mind your own business do you?" Tess came into the conversation, André followed.
"Tess don't you know you're on the wrong side." Clare glared.
"As far as I can tell, I'm on the right side." Tess countered.
"Yes because these losers are such a great choice." Gordie rolled his eyes.
"Yeah." The Dipazzi twins agreed.
"Looks like we're all back in the swing of things now that she's back." Penelope snickered glancing at Ronaldo.
"Yeah I find it funny and interesting. Seeing as jackass over here doesn't seem to want to leave her alone." Jackie aimed at Ronaldo, who narrowed his eyes.
"Maybe he's having a hard time realizing she's over him and doesn't want to be around him." Loraina commented. Debbie shot her a glare.
"Please she'll never measure up to me, everyone knows that. Even she does." Debbie retorted, glancing slightly at Kendall with a smirk.
"You really are getting on my nerves." Ramia clenched her fists.
"Why? Because what Debbie says is right?" Ronaldo had a sly expression.
"Tell me if it's so factual, why bother coming near me? Want to gloat? It's not impressive in the slightest. In fact it just shows how idiotic you both are." Kendall spoke up. "And if I'm being honest here. You defended me Debbie during my absence." Kendall looked at her seriously.
"That… that was a mere fluke." Debbie played off.
"You sure about that? Because I don't think it was." Kendall replied. "In fact I think you were connecting with me because you were remembering when you lost your own mother due to an illness." Debbie glanced away slightly. "You saw yourself in me at that time."
"Like hell I did!" She barked back. "You and I are nothing alike!"
"You're right we're not. I didn't have to deal with a bitch of a step mom, as you called her." Kendall responded. "You know you were once a good person, what happened to you?" Kendall was genially curious.
"Like you'd ever know." She answered.
"I can probably guess. He got to you." Kendall pointed at Ronaldo. "He probably said sweet things, made you feel like you were on top of the world, the one and only. Made you feel loved. It surprises me how such a smart person has been so blind by him." Kendall remarked.
"You don't know anything about him. He's giving me more than you'll ever know." She smirked.
"Trust me when I say I know enough." Kendall stated. "He's completely changed everything about you and who you are."
"Or maybe he brought out the real me. Not that you would ever understand. I mean stealing him away from you was child's play." Nicolette was about to pounce when she heard that remark, however Eli kept her back. Kendall merely smiled which slightly shocked Debbie. "Just what the hell are you smiling about? I just told you I won."
"Finding it amusing is all." Kendall replied. "Seeing as we never fought, not that I ever would for him." She added. The girls all grew surprised at the statement.
"What?" Debbie just stared at her.
"He's not worth my time nor my effort. You want him you can have him. He's all yours." Kendall told her. Debbie got a pissed of look.
"Of course he's mine damnit! I won him, won everything! I stole him fair and square." Debbie retorted.
"Like I said, he's yours. I'm handing him to you." Kendall shrugged, then glanced at Ronaldo. "He not worth my time or worth fighting over." She added, glancing back t Debbie. "If you thought I wanted him or wanted to fight for him. I don't."
"Oou…." Ramia and Nicolette placed their hands over their mouths, still shocked by Kendall's comments, but impressed all the same.
Excuse me…" Debbie responded. "You didn't hand him to me!" She exclaimed.
"Why is it I feel you wouldn't even know how to fight for me?" Ronaldo intervened, gathering her and the other's attention. He smirked.
"Trust me Ronaldo, if I really wanted you I could fight. But you're not worth it. You never will be." She countered. "Not to mention you underestimated me, but that's your loss." She added with a smile of victory. He glared. "Now if you don't mind, we have class." She turned around, walking away, Jackie following. Debbie narrowed her eyes more.
"You'll never be worth it! You bitch! How dare you?!" She started to move.
"Oh give it a rest Debbie." Brianna got in the way. "Just face it. She wants nothing to do with him, and not fighting. Especially for him."
"Yeah lie she said, he's yours, you have him now." Scarlet smirked.
"Guess it's not the outcome, or fight," Nicolette shrugged, a confident look on her. "You were hoping for huh." Debbie grew more frustrated.
"Ever think maybe she just doesn't know how to fight?" Clare came in, folding her arms.
"She knows how to. She just won't waste her time on your idiots." Teena defended, a small triumphant smile on her lips. The bell rung interrupting them.
"Guess that's your que to leave." Jackie stated.
"With some dignity, what little there is, left." Brianna had a smug smirk. Debbie glared at them, especially Kendall.
"This isn't over." Debbie warned. "Let's go." The group walked away, going in the opposite direction of Kick's group.
