Chapter 29

It finally was here. I was standing on top of our hill with the girl I realized I loved so much. This was my last chance to turning back. This was the last day. So why do I feel at peace. I don't mind this one bit. 3 months had finally passed and I began thinking about our so called plan.

"Hey Jazzy." Cindy said as she swung her arm around Jazmine's shoulder.

"Hey girl. Sorry I missed lunch."

"Nah gurl it coo don't worry your lil pretty face." She said winking at me.

I cringed and started to have second doubts. No way this would work.

"I wonder what she's telling her." Caesar said as he joined me.

"Probably something like 'Oh girl guess who I just talked to. Yo boo boo Huey and he misses you so much! Kissy face lame shit". Riley said as he joined us.

"Yeah I don't think that is it."

But what ever Cindy did say must have work since Jazmine could not shut up about me, well Huey but still.

"I can't believe that asshole."

Ok seriously what did she tell her?

"What happened?"

"Ughhhhhh, Huey that's what happened. He thinks he can just waltz back into my life now that I'm finally happy and ruin everything. I'm so mad at him right now Hue."

"What did Cindy say?"

Ok I really was going to have a talk with her later on.

"She told me that Huey has not been gone and that he loves me. At first I thought she was messing around but she was actually being serious. Cindy out of all people was serious."

Ok maybe I'd spare her a talking and give her the benefit of the doubt after all.

"And... what do you think of him and what Cindy said?"

"The problem is I don't know what to think. I love him but I love you as well and I secretly wish you both were the same person."

"What if we were Jazmine? What if Huey never left and I was him all along."

She looked at me and for once I was determined and ready for this shit to be over. I wanted-no- needed her to know the truth.

"Jazmine what I'm trying to say is what if I am Huey."

She began to speak but then paused for a bit before speaking again.

"Then I'd think you were crazy."

We had not spoken about Huey after that day. It was futile the girl did not understand who I truly was. But I owed it to her to tell her the truth so that is why I had brought her up here to our spot.

"How did you know about this place?" she asked in awe and shock. I looked at her with my similar cold eyes. I was doping the act and finally telling the love of my life the truth.

"Jazmine-"

"Stop! Don't say a thing."

"I need you to listen to me-"

"Stop it! Shut up!"

"Jazmine it's me! I'm Hu-"

"I know!" She said in tears.

"Wait what?" I asked in confusion.

Did I just hear her correctly? She knows? She knew all along.

She sighed and looked at me. It was her turn to drop the act her eyes said it all and I understood she wasn't lying. She knew all this time.

"I knew Huey. I knew you were Hue."

"H-How?"

I was genuinely shocked and confused. The government could have apprehended me with a bunch of cops and FBI agents and Id still wouldn't be as phased as I was now.

"When did you find out?" I added.

She sighed.

"Well It all started when my mom decided to return and how you helped me out. From there I started to see the similarities. At first I thought I was being crazy and I was just missing you but there was something about Hue that captivated me the same as Huey used to. So I began searching for Huey. I talked to Mr. Freeman and asked him about the last time he saw you then I asked Riley and Caesar and they were acting a bit suspicious. It seemed like the knew were you were but were lying for your sake so I began investigating them as well. But in the end I could not figure out anything and I decided I was just being crazy until 3 months ago when you said that you could be Huey. I began thinking and I wondered if magic did exist and why would Hue say that. Then I met a lady in a weird tent and she began asking me a few questions.

I was on my way to Hue's place when I saw a green tent. It was weird I'd never seen it but maybe I just never payed attention. As I was walking past it something caught my eye. It was a lady with long black hair. Something about her intrigued me and I needed to talk to her. I followed her into the tent. It was fairly large inside compared to the outside.

"Hello Jazmine."

I blinked in confusion.

"How did you-"

"I know everything about you my child." She said with a smile.

Normally at this point I would have walked out of this crazy's old woman's tent and called the cops on a potential stalker but I didn't. It was like I knew and trusted her even if I've never seen her a day of my life.

"Sit down and make yourself at home. Would you like some tea or coffee?"

"Tea please." I said as I looked around the place.

It looked like I had stepped into "A witch's lair."

"How did you-"

"Know I was going to say that?"

I covered my mouth. She really was a witch.

"You can read minds?" I asked in awe.

"Yes indeed." She said as she handed me a cup.

"And there's a reason you are here. I'm not visible to just anyone my child."

I took a sip and then began to talk.

"And I think I know why I'm here."
