circuse with his parents. There family were acrobat' Richard was 9 he saw his parents fall from the the trapeze and die. For 2 days he stayed with Jim Gorden. Than he was sent to juvie because there was no room for him in the adoption agency's in Gotham. It only took him a year to run away.
