What Ishizu saw about the past…

Ishizu was sitting alone in a half-dark room with only light the light of the torches around her. Her eyes were closed. She was smiling. The past was opening itself to her…
Cairo. The bustling capital of Egypt had slowly started going to sleep. The sun had set. A few miles south was lieing an area that was the polar opposite of it; The Valley of the Kings. The last home for dozens of Pharaohs that were now resting in peace for centuries, within the quietness of the valley. Suddenly inside the stonewalls of a tomb a strange sound was heard.
A golden-dressed sarcophagus. Its lid moved a little. A bit more till it fell off. Inside it, a figure sat up and completely mechanically, got up and stood. It got out of the coffin. A Pharaoh they had thought he was dead. He stood still for a little like a soulless doll. His eyes were opened wide and were glowing red. They were looking at everything and nothing. It was a gaze without life. Completely mechanically, as if some power from above was moving him, he moved like hypnotized, towards the sealed entrance. With a single blow, he cracked a hole open on the rock that was sealing the entrance and walked out in the coldness of desert. For one more time he remained still, there. He was only wearing a cloth of royal linen around his waist and even that was totally old and wasted. His feet were bare.
Like hypnotized, with his arms hanging to his sides, as if his legs were moving at their own will he started walking till he got lost in the desert. The night had fallen…

(Narration from a 17-year-old girl's Point of view)

I got out on the ship's deck to get some fresh air. I always enjoyed the sea breeze at night caressing my hair. The night was calm and quiet. The pale moon was shining in the sky as the ship was traveling in the middle of the ocean. Silence was absolute and I could only hear the sound of the waves of the sea. Then I saw him! That shadow in the middle of the ocean. Away from me around fifty meters, I couldn't figure out who it was. But I knew that shadow was a human one! He was walking on the water! But that is impossible! We were kilometers away from any land but even so, he was walking on the water like hypnotized, like a ghost with flesh and blood, like a lost soul that was wandering around. Then he turned his head and looked at me. I could understand he was looking at me because I was feeling his gaze stuck upon me. He looked at me but not with eyes, there were no eyes, just two bright red jewels in place of the eyes and were glowing in the darkness! I was frozen in place. It was as if those eyes were hypnotizing me. He remained still, looking at me.
Then a sudden wave hid him from my sight. When it calmed down, he had disappeared. He had gone in thin air. I was afraid it was a reflection, an illusion of the moon or that I was sleeping and dreaming. But, impossible. I could still feel those eyes on me. I looked towards there many times but I couldn't spot him again.
He had disappeared…

(End of this Point of View)

The scenery changed again. A forest. It was almost dawn, and there was he! The figure was still walking. For years he had wandered all around the world. A wandering soul with flesh and blood and now, at last, his fate was fulfilled. He fell right where he was standing unconscious onto the wet soil. The humidity and the cold were intense. Mist was covering the place, making the treetops seem like emerging out of dilute yogurt. He fell on the ground, as if he had got exhausted by all the walking. His cloth had almost turned into dust upon him. The peaceful, winter breeze was caressing his tri-colored hair. His eyes were closed as if he was sleeping peacefully in the heart of the forest. In a few hours dogs' barking and human voices were heard from somewhere far away. Humans were coming closer…
Ishizu smiled. This Pharaoh had done his long trip. Now he was sleeping. He was sleeping along with the instincts of a vampire that he had. Along with his memory, his instincts had gotten into hibernation till he would be Turned again. This Pharaoh was meant for great things. His name was Pharaoh Atem…
Finally all the links were in place…
The chain was complete…

Yay! Finally the epilogue! And with this the story is officially over!
The Epilogue is technically made of two parts. The first one we see Ishizu concentrating to her Abilities to take a look to the past to see how Atem got to Japan all the way from Egypt. Then the story gets interrupted to see the part of the narration through a random girl's eyes that was happening to be travelling in a ship in the ocean and saw Atem "walking on water". Then we return back at Ishizu who opens her eyes after having seen everything.

The purpose of the Epilogue was to give answers to the questions why Atem wasn't dead and how he managed to go to Domino City of Japan all the way from the Valley of the Kings in Egypt.

I hope you like it!
