Update 7/12/2018: I went back to this fanfic recently to see how it aged, and it aged really badly (so far I've only read the early chapters) in terms of word usage, spelling, and grammar. So before I decide to work on continuing this fanfic, I'm gonna fix up the errors that are in this.

Pit was just out in the marketplace selling some of his handmade iron products. He's just an ordinary boy who lives in a village selling some metallic products. His current occupation is a blacksmith just like his father, his father was the one who taught him how to work with metal. As time went on, Pit then grew into a great blacksmith and some even argue that his skills are currently as efficient as his father's.

Occasionally, people or visitors from far lands would assign tasks for Pit to craft a certain item they wanted in exchange for money. It was usually either a weapon or some sort of metallic tool that is used in everyday life. And sometimes people would also commission him to repair any broken object, whenever Pit is assigned such a job, he prefers to fix the object for free since it is currently really expensive for metallic parts or items to be repaired. Very rarely would he even charge a fee for the repair.

When Pit started to learn about how blacksmith function at an early age from his father, he would have a hard time forming the heated iron into a straight line. His father was a very patient man with the brunette when it came to blacksmithing. Soon after the brunette got the hang of it, he decided that he would start helping out his father with making and selling metallic products.

His mother was a local doctor but she wasn't an official doctor due to the fact that women weren't widely accepted nor acknowledged to be doctors at the time. But she was a very knowledgeable woman when it came to medicine, occasionally when she had time, she would teach Pit about medicine. Pit over time became knowledgeable in medicine and learned some of the medical procedures it came to certain medical procedures. Even though the little boy was taught about both medicine and crafting with metal, his interest went moreover to becoming a blacksmith just like his father. His mother didn't mind that her only son chose to become the same profession as her husband was and encouraged her son regardless of his choice. All she wished of for her son is that he would grow up healthy, strong, and knowledgeable with the world. And maybe if Pit chose to, raise his own family. A random fact about her is that she was the one who suggested her son to be called Pit. When she told her husband that, he laughed jokingly said Pit looked more like a Pitty Pat than anything else.

One day when Pit's mother passed away from an unexpected illness, all that remained was just a young child and his father. It was a very depressing turn of events from both males as it was something that neither of them could've prevented. Neither male resisted the urge to cry into each other's arms and both grieved for the next few months. Pit's father decided to be strong for his only son and tried to do whatever he could to help both him and Pit to recover from their tragic loss. Years later Pit's father met a woman during his work in the town market, over time this woman would soon help him feel the love that he was missing since the day his wife passed. He would eventually then bring up the courage confess his feelings for this new woman and eventually remarry. Pit was more than content to see that his father was able to find love again. But later on he would learn that this new mother of his wasn't as kind as his former mother was.

When he first met her she had long blonde hair that was tied slightly on the side of her head, she came off as rude to the brunette and later learned that she also had children and Pit was excited to hear that he would be getting some brothers or sisters that he can play with.

She had 3 daughters, the eldest shared the same blonde hair color as her mother but with had a faint mixture of reddish orangish color on the tips of her blonde hair, the little boy wasn't sure if those extra colors were natural or dyed. The second eldest was of a girl with red crimson hair and the youngest was a very young girl with brown hair and with two small pigtails tied to the back of her head.

When Pit met the three stepsisters the two eldest behaved as rude as their mother, but the youngest was the opposite and always had a liking to what Pit. She even took an in her stepbrother's hobby as she would ask questions and see what her stepbrother was doing.

But Pit didn't complain to his father on how rude his stepmother behavior was towards him, Pit did notice subtle hints of his new mother being kind to him in her own way so he knew that his new mom wasn't a bad person at heart. Regardless of how his new mother acted to him, he only wished for his father to be happy as he was before his first mom passed away, with the addition of some new siblings as well.

But their complete family didn't last long, Pit's father was called into the military to help mass produce weapons for the knights. At the time the country was at war and needed more blacksmiths to help craft more weapons for the soldiers to prevent a weapon shortage. When the war ended and the country was victorious they offered his father to be a blacksmith for the military, initially he plan to refuse the offer but they even offered a large salary for him if he decided to work for the kingdom. He realized that if he chose to stay, he might not be able to provide as much money as he could since now he has a bigger family to financially support. He felt guilt since he didn't want to leave his family but he knew what he had to do, he accepted the offer and in turn, had to leave his family.

"D-Daddy. Promise me you'll come and visit us." asked a sobbing Pit.

His father ruffled Pit's hair softly and smiled at his son, "Yes Pit, I will. I'll visit you whenever I get the opportunity to my son, I promise." he lightly kissed Pit's forehead. That was the last time Pit has ever seen his father, the only way Pit's father was able to communicate with his family was by letter so he at least knew his father was safe. There were times where Pit missed the company of his father at times due to the fact on how his stepmother and two older stepsisters treated him.

The only person who appreciates and truly loved him was his little step sister, Carla.

The step sisters I referenced were the oldest and the youngest, the oldest is Phosphora and the youngest is the little girl in chapter 18 the ring of chaos in Kid Icarus uprising. I just felt like naming her Carla since she doesn't have a name. And the stepmother is Viridi, sorry all you Viridi fans out there for me making her the mean stepmother.

"Here you go mam' It's all fixed, is that all you need me to repair?" The brunette asked as he handed over the frying pan.

"Oh my Pit, thank you! Are you sure I can't pay you, you did a wonderful job in fixing my frying pan. It would be a shame if I didn't pay you." The kind middle aged woman said.

"Oh that wouldn't be necessary mam' I just like doing my job that's all." Pit replied.

"Oh Alright then Pit. You know you're young, a handsome young man like you shouldn't be constantly working. Go out and find a beautiful girlfriend while you're still young."

The brunette lightly blushed at what the woman told him, "Sorry I'm just too busy with work and doing all the chores at home, you know how my stepmom is."

"Oh that woman Viridi! She's making you work too much, not many people like being around her with the way she acts you know." The woman added.

Pit shyly scratched the back of his head, "Yeah I know but hey I can't really do anything about it ya know. She's family so I can't bring myself to hate her, ya know?"

"Oh deary, please don't push yourself. And I hope you are able to manage better being around that witch."

The brunette waved to the woman, "Later mam'."

"She's a very kind lady. Though I kinda wished people could see her in a better light..." Pit said to himself.

"Hey Pit over here!" Yelled out a familiar voice Pit knew.

"Huh? Oh hey Marth, how's it been!" Pit called out. Marth came to Pit and became tired from all the running the blue haired male did.

"Pit I came to tell you that I found this piece of diamond while I was hunting!" The blue haired boy said as he held out his hands, revealing a small emerald diamond.

Pit examined the small diamond closely. "Wow, it looks genuine to me. Marth where did you really find this? You didn't steal it did you!?"

Marth shook his head in disagreement, "No I didn't, come on Pit we're best friends, you know I wouldn't do such a thing! Besides I just told you, I went outside the village to hunt and I found it."

"S what are you going to do with the diamond? Pawn it?" The brunette asked. "Nope! Not at all! I was just wondering if you can craft something out of this is diamond, anything you can come up with will do."

Pit felt some pride swell up in his chest, he noticed something was off so he looked around, "Oh. Hey I just noticed, where's Roy? Isn't he always with you?"

"Piiiiitt!" As if on cue, another familiar voice shouted out the brunette's name.

The voice then jumped on Pit's back and hung loosely onto him,"There you are!"

Pit flinched at the sudden jump his friend did, "H-Hey Roy where have you been, you're usually with Marth."

The red head boy made his usual child like grin, "I lost this time to Marth, he really kicked my ass this time."

Both Marth and Roy were both skilled in use a sword and they both dreamed of becoming knights, so whenever they needed their swords repaired they would go to Pit. Both swordsmen knew Pit since childhood and the trio hung out with each other whenever all three of them had the time, and they were both aware of how Pit's stepmother treated him. Sometimes Roy would call her a blonde bitch or witch behind Viridi's back since Pit didn't let neither male take action with how Pit was being treated.

"Your moves were predictable and sloppy as always, of course I kicked your ass! So what do you desire a rematch?"

Pit realized what time it was, he gathered his supplies and started running, "Oh shoot I'm gonna be late! See ya later you guys!"

"Later Pit!" Roy yelled out.

"He needs to tell that blonde bitch to stop treating her only stepson like that! How the hell does he deal with that bitch!? There's got to be a reason behind all that!" Roy said.

"That's are Pit for you, He doesn't hold a grudge for anyone. Although I do agree, it isn't like Pit to bear such burdens." Marth said while crossing his arms.

"Yeah I guess so but still, it doesn't feel right..."

The brunette ran to the door.

"You're late!" Said Pit's stepmother Viridi. "I'm sorry mo-"

"That's not what you are to call me." The blonde rudely interrupted. "...I'm sorry. I'm late mistress Viridi."

She smirked at the brunette, "Good because you have a lot of chores to do now."

I felt like doing a yaoi Cinderella fanfic of Pit and Dark Pit. Just letting you know I'm going to call him instead of Dark Pit I'm going to go with Kuro, to prevent any possible confusions. I hope you enjoy this so far!
