Timcanpy's side:

Tim ran through the under brush as fast as he could. Looking into a rumor about some unidentifiable voice singing a song in the woods around Mater. Cross had asked, no told, him to go see if there were any leads to a certain white haired young man.

Now here Timcanpy was running for his life as he was chased by something dark. Knowing his luck it would be one of those man-eating Roc creatures he'd heard about from Allen years ago. A Roc was a giant birdlike creature that was as big as a bear and had razor sharp talons to kill its prey with.

Timcanpy on the other hand continued to run through the underbrush. He now stood nearly six foot tall and his once bright blonde hair was now turning a mousy blonde color. And since Allen and Mana's tragedy Tim decided that he would do everything in his power to help find his best friend. He'd continued on as Cross' assistant and even started training with the castle guards.

Allen had been flying back to the lake when he spotted a handsome young man walking through the woods. Being who he was Allen did not want the man to end up lost here. Getting as close as he could Allen flew lower to the ground.

The young man suddenly stiffened when, Allen guessed, heard his wings flapping. Allen's shadow soon flew over the man. And to his surprise the guy bolted into the underbrush continuing to run.

Not liking that he was heading to toward the lake Allen followed. The guy seemed to run faster and faster. Like a ghost or monster was chasing him, Allen thought.

Kanda's side:

"Phew! Thank Kami that we made it! I didn't know how much longer my ass could take being on a saddle for 12 hours!" Lavi said relieved that they finally made it to the city of Mater. "Stop complaining Baka Usagi!" Kanda scolded as he got off the horse, Lavi did the same. "Apparently from what the people in the neighboring town said is that ever since they saw a black swan fly over them a year ago they started hearing rumors of a voice singing a song at night and Guzol is the only one who has seen it," Kanda said as he started walking with his horse's reins in hands while looking around the city.

Mater, a city full of lying, deceit, and crime. On almost every street there is a house of ill repute also known as a Cat-house, brothel, or whore house. The city was full of run down shops, people illegally selling opium, and the occasional unconscious body lying on the street, another victim of the many gangs the city has. However, in the back of the city are where all the rich lord reside and past that is a forest surrounding Lord Tykki Mikk's castle.

"Come on Usagi, let's ask the citizens where Guzol is and the rumors about the singing," Kanda said. "Ok Yuu~" Lavi sang.

"Don't call me that!"

Everytime they asked about the singing they were given the same answer, "At night near Lord Mikk's castle, I always see a black swan fly there at sunrise and come back at sunset." "From what that guy said it's on this road. Come on Baka Usagi," Kanda ordered as he started walking down the road.

They arrived at the house and Kanda knocked. A young girl about 11 winters old with white bandages covering her right eye opened the door and glared at them. "Who are you?" she demanded. "I'm Prince Kanda Yuu and this is Lavi Bookman, apprentice to Bookman." Kanda bowed while Lavi striked. "Lala, you can let them in. They mean no harm," an old man said before coughing violently.

"Guzol! Don't push yourself! Remember what the doctor said. Go sit down and I'll make tea for you and our guests," Lala chastised as she helped Guzol into his chair and pulled out two others before she left to make tea. "Pardon us for the intrusion but I need to know everything about the black swan and the song," Kanda explained with a look of determination and faint flashes of fear and longing.

Lala came back with tea and gave them out before Guzol started talking. "I first saw the black swan one winter ago. I was out walking in the forest when I found a lake nearing Lord Mikk's castle. It was just floating in the water and it looked at me before flying away. I ran back and told Lala, who didn't believe me." Guzol said before he was cut off my Lala. "Of course I didn't. It's not everyday that you see a black swan." She emphasized the word black.

"It astonished me seeing such a rare and beautiful animal so I figured that it was one of King Mikk's exotic animals. Another thing I need to mention is that when the swan leaves it comes back at sundown as if it's waiting on someone," Guzol finished. "Hmm. Why would a swan leave and come back? It doesn't make any sense," Lavi questioned. "Swans have usually migrated during this time of the year anyways. But it's still here..."

"The swan should be back shortly," Guzol noted. His face looked thoughtful as he absorbed the information.

Kanda looked out the window and noticed a black blur in the horizon. As the shape came closer, its form began to take shape. "Is that the swan, Guzol-san?" Kanda asked. "Yes, Prince Kanda."

The swan flew past the window and headed towards Tykki's castle. "Now the song that is sung goes like this. Lala, could you sing it for us?"

"Sure Guzol," Lala nodded before she took a deep breath and started singing.

At the end of the song, Kanda and Lavi were speechless. Both were thinking one thing, that's Allen's-Moyashi's song. "You sing beautifully Lala," Lavi stated making her blush. Lavi glanced toward Kanda and saw that his eyes glazed as his mind was lost in a memory.

[Flashback]

It was the night when Kanda proposed to Allen. They were lying on Allen's bed with Kanda on it and Allen on top of him who had Kanda's arms wrapped around him lovingly. "Lazy Moyashi," Kanda chuckled when Allen started pouting.

Suddenly Allen smirked and sat on Kanda's lap whispering so only he could hear him, "BaKanda." Kanda smirked as his hands rested on Allen's hips. "I didn't know that you were so brave Moyashi," Kanda replied as he sat up, leaning against the tan headboard, and wrapped his arms around Allen's feminine waist. Kanda suddenly pulled Allen in for a kiss. Allen gasped at the sudden pressure on his lips and Kanda took advantage too that by pushing his tongue into his lover's mouth, coaxing Allen's tongue to join in the heated kiss. Allen wrapped his arms around Kanda's neck, closing the gap between them.

"Ah~" Allen moaned into the kiss. He then pulled Kanda's hair tie out, letting a waterfall of blue silky hair fall down. Like all good things, they must come to an end. They pulled away from each other to capture some air and Kanda's breath was soon caught in his throat by the way Allen looked. His face was flushed, eyes glazed over with lust and want, and had kiss swollen lips which made Kanda want him even more. Kanda started kissing and sucking on Allen's neck marking it with love bites showing everybody that the wanted Gentleman Prince was claimed by the Briar Prince. When Kanda got to Allen's collarbone, he bit down making Allen cry out in pain but licked apologetically. He pulled back and Allen fell on his chest breathless. "Yuu… aishiteru."

"I love you too Aren."

Allen sat up suddenly and asked, "Wanna take a bath Yuu? We built a onsen recently using the hot springs." Kanda smiled and said, "Sure Moyashi." They descenant from the bed and started walking down the hallway when Allen was suddenly picked up by Kanda, bridal style. "BaKanda put me down! I can walk," Allen blushed strawberry red. Kanda just looked down at Allen and smirked. "No Moyashi. Besides when we marry I will hold you like this," Kanda grabbed Allen's left hand and kissed his ring making Allen blush even more.

"Turn here and there should be a sliding door leading us outside."

"Knowing you Moyashi, it's probably wrong,"Kanda teased but still listened to Allen. "I get it from Mana! Don't blame me!" Kanda started laughing making Allen blush even more.

Kanda listened to Allen's directions and fortunately he was right. "Ha! See Yuu, I was right," Allen triumphantly stated. "Che." Kanda put Allen down. He slid the door open revealing a huge hot spring with sakura trees surrounding it. "Beautiful," Allen praised. "Hai," Kanda agreed.

Allen unbuttoned his shirt and slid it off. He also took off his shoes, pants, and boxers. All Kanda could do was stare at Allen's feminine body. Allen turned his head and blushed at Kanda's lustful look. "Bakanda," Allen muttered before getting into the water. Kanda took off his clothes as well only to see Allen now watching him. "Like what you see?" he asked teasingly. Allen ducked into the water, hiding his blush. Kanda got in and grabbed Allen's arm and pulled him up into his chest, "Baka Moyashi."

"Shut up Yuu," Allen said playfully. They sat there telling them about what has been happening in the kingdom lately and how Allen's lessons with Cross have been going, but they stopped before he passed out due to trauma.

Kanda saw Allen start to get drowsy and suggested they get out. "Ok Yuu," he muttered sleepily. They dried off and put on their yukatas. Kanda picked Allen up bridal style hearing no complaints this time and traveled into Allen's bedchamber. Laying Allen down, Kanda lay down and took off their yukatas; and got in bed with their boxers on. "Want me to sing a lullaby?" Allen asked shyly since he only sang for Mana and when Timcampy had gotten sick once. Kanda saw how Allen was unsure of himself and he grabbed Allen's chin, kissing his lips lightly, "I'd love to hear it, Aren." Allen smiled lovingly and started singing.

"Soshite bouya.."

As Allen ended the song he'd slowly fallen asleep with Kanda shortly after listening to his lover's breathing.

[End of flashback]

".U..Yuu!" Lavi shouted, trying to bring Kanda back from his trip down memory lane. "Don't call me that unless you want Lavi Jr. gone." Kanda glared, making Lavi pale at the threat of his most prize possession being deleted. Kanda then stood up, grabbed his cloak, and opened the door before turning his head and said, "I'm going to find the black swan. Thank you, Guzol-san, Lala-chan."

They stared at Kanda's retreating form before Lavi sighed. "He's missing his beloved, isn't he?" Gazol's question was more of a statement, breaking the silence. "Yeah…. He misses Allen-kun deeply," Lavi said with his hair covering his eye. Lala looked out the window and prayed for Kanda and Allen's safety.

Kanda was walking along an desolate path in the eerie forest, seeing Tykki's castle getting closer. He unsheathing Mugen for safety, looking ahead he saw an opening. He ran towards it and to see the black swan floating on the lake. It seemed to be looking at the moon, not having noticed Kanda's presence. As he slowly sneaked closer, something mysterious happened. The moon's light shined on the water and suddenly water started swirling around the lone black swan until it carried it into the air, before a bright flash made Kanda shield his eyes. He opened them when he heard a splash and stood there dumbstruck as he gazed at the being in front of him. It was his Moyashi, Prince Allen Walker.
